  He/she is only one of many that Clark, and then Ardern, started to breakdown everything via their friends in the media in our country today.
  It is nothing but sad, but they know there is nothing we can do to stop it.

I note that he is a they and also a takatapui. MMP was designed to allow the representation of all segments of the community. The Mexican-born March is gay, yet favours Palestine. What these people ignore is that in Palestine they’d be murdered because of their sexuality. It is an enigma. The Greens seem to have progressed from the days of Rod Donald and the Values Party.

Leaping right in…I simply do not believe that freaks of nature like that individual would have lasted five minutes in traditional Maori society, in which gender roles – for them as for me there were and are only two genders – were rigidly prescribed: The men did the fighting and hunting, the women produced babies – which if they were lucky enough to survive beyond a year became tamariki – which the women cared for while doing their other female duties.

I have read a dozen accounts of pre European New Zealand, by literate whalers and sealers, remittance men, and the beachcombers – or at least the literate ones – who washed up on New Zealand shores by whatever means.

NONE of those accounts- which are all remarkably consistent – mention “takatapui” or persons like this fellow. (Despite his pronouns I see he has a wispy moustache which suggests he also has a cock). No early accounts mention any mentally or physically disabled Maori being observed, which is entirely to be expected in a harsh environment in which even surviving required constant effort.

In short I firmly believe that anyone who couldn’t contribute to society by fulfilling the gender roles assigned to them by tikanga would have simply been done away with by a patu to the back of the head – whether they were a female infant, a person with some physical or mental disability, or a confused clown like this guy.

  There is that incident Frederick Maning (A Pakeha Maori) wrote about in the book “Old New Zealand”.
  
  Wherein a couple of (white) drifters wandering into a Maori tribe camp, where Maning was visitor. Said drifters were looked after and fed a hearty meal. Next day there was only one drifter. When questioned the chief said “We fed, killed him, and coked him. He was good for nothing else.”
  
  Frederick Maning was one of the first, if not the first, Maori Land Court Judge.

    Jack: Yes, Maning is one of the sources I have read – in fact I vaguely recall that incident. From my reading, the early Maori were pretty canny about which pakeha beachcombers/deserters they took into their society: in short they had to have some marketable skill (as we would say today) or they weren’t welcome.
    
    And you are right: I am pretty sure Maning was the first Land Court judge

  100%. He claims, once he starts speaking English, that trans hatred was “imported” here. Putting aside that a gender critical perspective is not hatred, but bollocks to that, no one in *any* society had any conceptualisation of a distinction between sex and gender until, at the absolute earliest, 1960. Traditional Maori society did not have “takatapui”, there is literally no historical evidence for that astonishing claim.

    All I can so is such persons are not mentioned in any account of early Maori society which I have read

  In my last year at school in the UK, the Chaplain taught us comparative religion.
  
  He was teaching us why in Leviticus and in the Koran, homosexuality and also “spilling one’s seed upon the ground” ie birth control, was banned.
  
  In a harsh environment the survival rate of women and children in and after childbirth was very low. The life expectancy was about 30-35 years so basically it was “all hands to the pump” to keep the birth rate up. So, any people who couldn’t do their bit in that direction were not wanted. So it would have been in other primitive societies.

    Wikipedia says, “Doyle identifies as non-binary, takatāpui and whaikaha (disabled).”
    Doyle went on to say, “… a disability does not need to be seen to be real, and nor does it require your comprehension to deserve equitable and adequate healthcare, employment, housing or respect.”
    However, if you want to be understood, and to contribute to writing legislation that supports your fellow sufferers, (20,000 in NZ by your reckoning), would it not help to have some comprehension of the malady you want me to acknowledge?

And where is the translation ? If anyone wishes to speak Maori in the House, they should repeat it in English which is the common and by far the most understood spoken language of New Zealand.

Now I’m sure My Doyle is genuinely well meaning … but he is totally ill-suited to the seriousness that his position as a MP demands.

Oh well … however the “once great/proud” Labour Party of NZ will have to work with these Green “student politicians”. Labour of old, even the Helen Clark Labour Govt of the 2000’s would not be impressed!
