I’ve often thought that NZ could do with something similar to the UK’s Private Eye, but if this is the best satirists can do about Wellington, then that wait goes on.

Oh well, good luck to them. It’s better to laugh at what’s left of Zombie City Wellington than to despair.

May the big one come sooner rather than later – before Council completely bricks in Thordon Quay so there is literally no way of escaping in an emergency.

But both of the cyclists will be happy, unless its raining of course, in which case they will “work from what’s left of home”…

That’s almost incoherent. I can sort of see the idea under it, but they do need someone who can structure an idea and use appropriate punctuation.

There is a place and a need for an inside scoop/satirical account of Wellington. There is certainly plenty of raw material.

This paper hints at having some interesting insights, but unfortunately it is so poorly written it’s virtually incomprehensible. Perhaps someone who can write in clear English could team up with the ideas person/people to make something of this.

It will get better. They seem to have good sources and are not afraid to name and shame. How refreshing. We should all support this brave publisher who shares a dislike of Wellie council and its policies. One good subeditor and it will make more sense.
