■ It’s interesting to speculate how things would evolve if the notion that Maori have inherently superior rights to the rest of us became entrenched. At the moment, the legal definition of a “Maori” is anybody with a Maori ancestor. That definition almost makes sense today, but in three or four generations? A friend of mine told me several years ago that he had 32 great-great-great-grandparents, 15 of whom were from England, 10 from Ireland, four from Scotland, two from Wales, and only one Maori. He is legally entitled to join the Maori electoral roll and presumably qualify for other government programmes reserved for “Maori”. That seems ridiculous, but it is only slightly more ridiculous than the present situation, where people who had far more ancestors who were not Maori than who were are entitled to government programmes reserved for Maori – Don Brash

  On the first point about Maori ancestry I think the fight is over Treaty rights and that the beneficiaries will be Iwi and who their leadership choose to bless with membership.
  
  The current definition of Maori for the purposes of the current NZ law will increasingly be seen as a colonial construct.

Ex PM Hipkins on the radio this morning says a lot of New Zealanders are proud of what Labour did to promote Māori during their term in government.
News for Chippy, that’s one of the main reasons you got the arse-card and the majority of Kiwi’s didn’t buy into your separatist crap.
Your predecessor promised to discuss your (Labour) Māori direction with the rest of the country, but didn’t and you didn’t stop it. No amount of toy tossing by the elite that promote they represent only 16% of the population is going to change the election result, and hopefully increases the resolve by those in the National led government, to bring this nonsense to an end.
The threat of possible violence towards the government coming from various opposition party Māori members, and Māori activists, only reinforces the view that Māori aren’t the peaceful race they try to portray, and their threatening behaviour is actually raising greater wider resentment towards them.

      If he was charged, and found guilty, then he would be kicked out of Parliament regardless of his actual sentence then.
      “Otago University’s Andrew Geddis said if an MP was convicted of a crime with a sentence of two or more years imprisonment, they would be expelled from parliament.”
      That is only the maximum sentence, not what you actually get and he points out that he would be expelled, not that he might be expelled.
      Has anyone made a complaint yet and are the Police trying to pretend they haven’t got it?

At Tūrangawaewae Marae in Ngāruawāhia, Kiingi Tūheitia criticised the Government’s Treaty Principles Bill

Kiingi Tūheitia told the crowd they should be “proud” of the kōrero today, which would extend into upcoming Māori celebrations at Rātana and Waitangi.
However, he impressed the importance of action following the debate.
“We need a way forward that brings kotahitanga (unity) to all Aotearoa, the way forward needs to bring peace and unity to everyone.”
He said real improvements needed to be realised for Māori in employment levels, education and housing.
“These issues are bigger than politics.”

He didn’t make specific references to any proposed legislation but did indicate his strong condemnation for the Treaty Principles Bill, created by Act and agreed to in its coalition with National.

The King expectedly focused on preserving the Treaty and warned against accepting its use in the judicial system as an accurate interpretation.

I know, you are not gonna want to hear this, but if you are truly honest and desirous of improving “your people’s” lot = you say “real improvements needed to be realised for Māori in employment levels, education and housing”: yes, you are correct.
  
  But no, bullying your racist way to the head of the Govt-dollar-scramble extracted from the (increasingly fewer and more unhappy) net-productive taxpayers is not the way to achieve this.
  
  You are really gonna hate what I say next, but that’s fine, the truth hurts.
  
  You’ve got to convince “your people” that they need to act middle-class European/Asian. Which means:
  
  – Send your kids to the best available school.
  – Make sure your kids attend that best available school every damn day.
  – Check that they do their homework – even if you can’t help them do it, you can check that they did it.
  – Talk to and listen to their teachers. Provide nice feedback to your kids and watch them do their homework.
  – Get a job and turn up on time every damn day work damn hard at it; that will get you promoted and you will earn more.
  – Stay or get married to your children’s partner and work at that (marriage) as well.
  – Don’t sit on the couch playing Xbox and drinking Lion Red when you should be checking that your children are doing their homework and/or keeping a prideful house or apartment or tenancy and being kind to your partner and children.
  – If you ever catch yourself wanting to whack your partner or children, run far away straight away.
  – If you ever catch yourself wanting to leave your partner or children because you don’t like the responsibilities then grow a pair and be a man – or run far away straight away, preferably to Europistan.
  – Don’t be an impulse buyer.
  – Learn to delay gratification.
  – Buy the house or rent the flat or buy the car that you can afford, not the one you want.
  
  If at any time you don’t like the contents of the above recipe, suck it up.
  
  Don’t try and tell the rest of us that you were Once a Kangz-Warriorah because if you can’t meet these basic life and society responsibilities to your loved ones and to the rest of us, you are nothing but bloviating pigmented windbag.

It’s hilarious the topics/headlines each new thread gets, ever more ‘civil war’, ‘mass unrest’, ‘mass protests’ blah blah blah
And seemingly you get attacked for merely pointing out it’s what the 3 parties actually campaigned on that is being enacted, and the majority who voted for this Govt, are happy with it all so far.
Ohhh my, how the left hate losing and being told a few home truths, (Like how Labour never campaigned on 3waters, co-governance or maori health dept)
Still….it’s like a hobby posting and reading the replies and responses, I have to say though, there is nothing quite as nasty nor venal as an upset leftie, makes reading the replies even more amusing.

  The left media are almost at point they have been waiting for. That is, enough time has elapsed since the election to now blame all bad data on National. For example the 60,000 on the waiting list.
  Prepare to see “reporting” and “revelations” on every subject you haven’t heard about for years. My favourite prediction is “what is National going to do about the shocking rise in child poverty?”
  
  Also prepare for the change in blame language (for things that got worse during last six years) from the previous “nine long years of the previous government” to “underinvestment by successive governments, going back decades”.

    I got sick of reddit and got blocked from the Auckland subreddit specifically for who knows what reason. Probably for pointing out the logical conclusions of govt policy or trying to have rational dialogue with irrational people.

      Oh, but it kind of does, that is, if you’re prepared to assert that one group dominates in an area and therefore it’s nefarious, at some point that irrational belief will be exploited and you’ll end up with gas chambers.
      
      If it’s not nefarious, why mention it? It’s no more meaningful than to say men dominate in the trades and women dominate nursing and teaching.

        But that’s the argument: “If we point out Jewish influence, then Jews will end up in gas chambers, therefore we shouldn’t mention Jewish influence.” This is just hysterical. This is the Jews’ own argument, but built into the argument is an implicit recognition that their influence generally is nefarious. Why else would they invoke such extreme consequences?
        
        Moreover, as a general principle, we need to be able to talk about and critique power – if “power” self-imposes a limit on discussions about itself, then that gives power free reign. If Jews didn’t have any power, then it wouldn’t be important to talk about Jews. But that’s not the case.
        
        Moreover, dominance in itself needn’t always be nefarious either. When Christians dominated, the West flourished. But they don’t dominate anymore, though, and accordingly, we have a very different society. We could be kind and say that it no longer flourishes, or be less kind and say that it is falling to pieces.
        
        In this case, it’s not really the disproportionate influence of Jewish interests in itself, it’s the consequences of it. Why? Because the interests of a very small minority ethnic collective are probably not the same interests of the ethnic majority.

        “Extinguished”? Always such loaded language.
        
        It’s not the doctrine of Judaism that is the issue, it’s the behaviour of some Jews, both secular and religious, although the doctrine oftentimes informs and motivates that behaviour.
        
        And the thesis is that we already live under minority rule (although it has never been announced or declared, for obvious reasons), that minority being politically coordinated and collectively interested Jews.
        
        The solution isn’t “extinguishing” anyone or anything, it about not having an elite that has a separate and often contradictory program to the majority, that is, replacing one elite with one that would be more favourable the majority.
        
        The Jewish Nation now has its long-desired State of Israel. They already have their own state whose policies they can control as Jews, so they don’t also need to control other peoples’ to the detriment of those people.
        
        They can always go and live in Israel when the diaspora countries are spent and finally broken beyond repair, whereas the local populations don’t have that option. Because of the never ending “multiculturalism” program, the latter don’t have their own national ethnic homelands any longer (that being a so-called “White supremacist” idea).

        If we’re talking about being obtuse, then you are obviously obtuse when you fail to understand that one thing “follows” from another thing only when the thing that follows does so out of logical necessity.
        
        Accordingly, it does not at all “follow” that nefarious and disproportionate ethnic group influence terminates in gas chambers, because there is no logical necessity involved.
        
        As you clearly don’t understand the meaning, logical necessity is any case where it is impossible to conceive of X as being otherwise (i.e. not-X) without contradiction.
        
        If there was any logical necessity in the present example, then it would always end the same way out of necessity, rather than only “at least once” (and thus only contingently) as you claim in your comment.
        
        And incidentally, are you conceding that there was disproportionate and nefarious minority ethnic influence in 1930s/40s Germany, because you seem to be?

      All of this is true (and can be easily verified by researching the history and origins – particularly of international finance beginning in Europe and of Hollywood in the 20th century – and the various current relevant shareholdings and/or managerial control), which is why it is such a taboo to mention it. If it were false, nobody would care if you made the claim.
      
      And you have to ask: why do people get so uncomfortable when these things are pointed out? Why do feelings get so ruffled over the facts?
      
      Someone has to control these things, because they don’t run themselves. If disproportionate Jewish institutional influence is so benign, then why are they so afraid of more people knowing about it?
      
      The “counter argument” is usually simply to sniff derisively and act incredulously.

        Insufficient. It’s because of high levels of nepotism, in group preference and collective ethnic self-interest. They look out for each other and help each other in preference to non-Jews.
        
        If hard work and education determined the make up of Western (particularly US) elites, you’d see disproportionate East Asian representation. There are likely more East Asians in the West nowadays than there are Jews, who ate typically only about 3% or even less.
        
        But Jews have it right while Europeans have it wrong. All groups should have ingroup preference because it is a natural strategy, but Europeans have been psyoped into “individualism” and “colour-blind meritocracy.” Meanwhile, Jews are playing a team game rather than being atomised individuals.

      The collective victimhood the Jews attribute to themselves is a great tool for ensuring group solidarity, but it leads to antagonism against “the other” (aka the Gentile). Theirs is an “us against the world” mindset, and is that really the kind of mindset you want a large proportion of your elite class to have?       I had to Google that, because I’d never heard about it before. This raises important questions: why isn’t this ongoing anti-Christian violence more widely known and heavily covered on the news? The news doesn’t get promulgated randomly, it is curated and selected based on what is seen to be important and what is not. Obviously, those who determine what is and isn’t an important story aren’t Christians. We hear often of “rising anti-semitism” yet anti-Christian sentiment (someones explicit, sometimes implicit) is a pillar of contemporary liberalism. Genuine concrete expressions of anti-Jewish feeling are few and far between, compared to anti-Christian behaviour, but if you believed the news you’d think it was the opposite. The perception doesn’t match the reality.
      
      We hear a lot about the plight of Jews though, don’t we? Imagine if the Islamists had murdered the same number of Jews in Nigeria. The United States would probably be bombing the perpetrators, and it would be labelled as akin to the beginnings of another Holocaust. Yet when it’s Christians, we never hear about it. Why not?

  There was a black singer called Dorothy Dandridge – very popular with whites as well as blacks – who was engaged to give shows at a Las Vegas casino. Unusually, she was allowed to stay at the hotel at which she was performing; black singers often had to stay elsewhere.
  
  Ms Dandridge swam in the hotel pool, resulting in complaints from numerous racist whites. The pool was drained and subject to a thorough cleaning before it was considered suitable for whites to once again swim in it. 60 years later it almost seems unbelievable.

  When I was a kid I had a couple of friends at school from a family of immigrants. They told us all that their parents had been advised not to go to NZ – too dangerous!! Full of savages!! (Not to mention they should pack soap and toothpaste etc and it wouldn’t be available “out there”!)

        I was told it some time ago. As rouppe says, they appear to have come down in price. Your link however just goes to prove my point. Cones are still ~$44 a piece.
        
        We had ~400 cones on the street outside my work for all of last year (~ $17,500) worth of cones, let alone the 2 to 4 staff members actively monitoring said cones on a daily basis.
        
        Yes I know that cones aren’t bought new for every job but plenty are broken and stolen. Its make work that is costing us money, slowing us down (over weekends with no works in progress) and dragging out jobs. Each time they moved where the diggers were working it took a day to move the fencing and cones as required. This took all staff, ~10.

  They are still out putting in new speed slowing and traffic jamming devices. Locally they have spent millions digging out a roundabout and replacing it with a slightly bigger roundabout. The result being less road for cars going around the thing. The other change… Speed bumps coming into and out of the roundabout.
  
  In other parts of Christchurch they are putting up more 30km signs in suburbia, the CBD already having a blanket 30km.
  
  Clearly the councils are rushing this stuff through before the government can get control of Waka coathanga. The government needs to get control of the ASAP and stop it.

‘The Nation’s Unity Bill’
or something similar but snappier – using the word ‘unity’

It is of course the English word Maori are rallying behind
So if Seymour and Luxon take it back and use it several times

    That’s a self-contradiction. The concept denoted by the word ‘marriage’ isn’t just two people making a pact of a particular kind in a particular form, it is about one man and one women doing so.
    
    “Same sex marriage” should not be legal because it’s wrong, and the law should reflect that, as it does with everything else that is wrong.
    
    Two people consenting to commit a wrong doesn’t at all alter the moral character of the act.
    
    Like all “progressive” incursions into what constitutes normalcy, same sex marriage wasn’t anything about giving gays rights, it was about damaging and diluting the institution of marriage as between men and women. Two very different motivations.
    
    Sexual liberalism destroys the family, liberal secularism destroys religion, and liberal immigration destroys the social cohesion. Family, faith and nation, all severely attenuated in a very short space of time, and we all live with the effects., which we complain about but often don’t appreciate the causes.
    
    Liberalism was weaponised against longstanding foundations, and we occupy the rubble of what those foundations formerly supported.

      Marriage is a word and any word in any language can have more than one meaning and even change over time. Fanny years ago was a common female name. In the USA today it’s your rear end and here and the UK it’s the front end, more specifically a women’s front end.
      
      The other point is the state can define marriage or any other word to be what they want. The state’s version of marriage is a way of ensuring a couple in union is recognised for priority over property and dependents and for tax and benefit purposes. It has nothing at all to do with any religious definition nor reason for marriage.
      
      A couple can quite happily get married in the eyes of their religion without having to get married in the eyes of the state. I suspect this never happens. Don’t know why as you would think the religious version is all that is needed for the religion-following couple. The religion can define their meaning of marriage how they want.
      
      What might have made the whole business simpler is if the state had done a search and replace across all legislation and replaced the word marriage with “civil union”. Oh well.

  Good response. Bethlehem school is State integrated with a Christian Special Character statement included in the integration agreement with the crown. It also costs money to send your kids there, so anyone who doesn’t subscribe to the Christian ethos – which is clearly set out for all to see – should definitely not send their kids there.
  
  Biological genetic dysphoria is vanishingly rare, and I have every reason to believe these people are welcome at Bethlehem (I know on of the board members quite well).
  
  However militants who demand to be recognised male and/or female and/or a rock and/or an animal are mentally unwell. They need help that few if any school are equipped to provide.

It is of real concern that the hysterical rhetoric being whipped up by the East Polynesian Party, most of the media, and the elite individuals who have been at the generous teat of the previous Liemore Pardy, will result in encouraging some attendees that perhaps can’t, or won’t, think to indulge in more than strong language.

Henare’s speech about guns and bullets, that cowboy hat guy talking about a separate Parliament, and his fellow traveller talking about 3 headed monsters have a common theme and that is of hatred for anything that looks like equal treatment for all based on need.

I do hope that Coster and his team of huggers are well prepared behind the scenes.

It’s the latest newsletter from Speak Up For Women (SUFW).
Apart from somethings about The Midwifery council, which is interesting, their big news is about The Christchurch Call.

“documents released under the OIA show that the Christchurch Call is now working to prevent “gender-based extremism” (including anti-LGBTQIA+) by targeting ‘gender-based hatred’. This could mean that the Christchurch Call seeks to oppose and suppress the views of people such as those who are gender-critical and who reject the idea that individuals can change their sex. That’s people like us, like you.”

They will be teaming up with The Free Speech Union on this one. (which I think DPF is involved in).
I don’t support SUFW financially and I only partially support them politically. They oppose radical gender ideology because they think it will be harmful to women and girls. I oppose radical gender ideology because I believe that it’s utter lunacy and it is harmful to all humans and human society. Naturally I think my position is the stronger one.
But SUFW were enormously naive if they thought that The Christchurch Call wasn’t going to be used to stifle all manner of dissent, not just the right wingers.
I think we all know the famous Martin Niemöller bit,

The Treaty confirms that Maoris can keep their taonga. Fair enough. But what does taonga mean? On the face of it, this would mean things like meeting houses, carvings, boats, meres, etc. It probably wasn’t thought to be an issue at the time, but the language and tattoos are not an unreasonable stretch.

What is more than a stretch is the granting of spectrum to Maoris because spectrum is interpreted as a taonga. To me, this reads like a change to the supposedly immutable treaty.

  Everything else was introduced here by way of colonialism.

    Yes, the definition “Taonga – Property procured by the spear” is dated 1820 and is found in first Māori dictionary written by Cambridge University’s Professor Lee. Hongi Hika travelled to England with missionary Thomas Kendall and worked on the dictionary, so it is probable this definition was Hika’s.

    Is it the Monarch? But the Monarch only plays a very marginal role in 2024’s NZ, essentially acting via the GG as a rubber stamp..
    Is it the Parliament? But the Parliament is supposed to represent all New Zealanders, regardless of their race and ethnicity.
    The logical conclusion the is that “the Crown” is the State and its all inhabitants, since a state can’t exist without inhabitants. That includes the Maori.
    As an aside, we are not “subjects” of the Crown. We are citizens of New Zealand.

      Our rights and duties as citizens are given to us by the Crown.
      
      The New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990 came into effect only because it had the assent of the monarch.
      
      And if you were to be prosecuted for an offence, it would be the Crown prosecuting you.
      
      Granted, this is largely legal technicality, and it could change if NZ became a republic.

      The Crown is the executive layer of the government. So the judiciary represent the Crown, the Army swear allegiance to the Crown etc. It’s not just symbolic, it has legal status and those who think it isn’t relevant in 2024 should be very careful about what they propose to replace it with. There is a reason why NZ (along with Aus, Canada and the UK) have been among the most stable countries in the world to date.

On a call from an overseas friend who’d seen some of the Waitangi clips, he mentioned that we were surely a truly backward nation. He said most of the world’s civilised peoples have grown and developed past the primitive stage of prancing and yelling and tongue-poking – especially doing so semi-naked. He laughed at the fact that we in NZ, a supposedly civilised, 21st century people, pay such attention to primitives pretending to be intimidating and demanding “rights” they never had.

“How can you expect to be taken seriously when you bow to such nonsense,” he asked from his distant viewpoint, “frankly, you don’t deserve to be thought as civilised.”

Which got me thinking how utterly useless Labour are. Labour were and are cowards. They did nothing to undertake conversations with Maori/Pakeha/immigrants/communities etc.

Instead they took their cues from the far-left radical activists and tried to quietly implement change behind the scenes (like in the public services and dishing out millions from the covid fund to advance their agenda eg Maori Health Authority etc).

Then when Labour started to fall in the polls, and received push back not only from the Right but also the bewildered centrist (swing) voters, Labour started panicking.

Ardern cut and run completely. Never to be heard from again for most of 2023 (even now in 2024).

Hipkins took over as PM a year ago and halted ‘maorification” efforts.

So what does this say of Labour? If they had the courage of National/ACT/NZF they could have led the national conversation with Maori on their side but also listening to Pakeha concerns and thus tempering their policies.

But they didn’t. So what does this say of their leadership that didn’t want to engage with NZers? What does this say of their large Maori caucus that didn’t do anything either? What about the rest of the Labour MP’s? Nothing but silence and smugness as they were “right” and everyone else that had concerns were “racists”!

In the end they lost because they didn’t bring NZers over with them. Despite their landslide win in 2020, they crashed and burned in 2023. Now the Greens are smarting they will effectively be eliminating them and become the main Left wing party.

Oh dear. So as to Ardern’s legacy? Clearly a failure. Unable to motivate NZers. Spent her time avoiding grown up conversations preferring to visit kindergartens and primary schools or hang out on social media with her admirers. Clearly NZ’s most useless incompetent and division causing PM ever. Good riddance and please don’t come back.

So what does this say of Hipkins? Chickened out as PM (by slowing down change for Maori) then talks the big talk now he is in Opposition. Suggest that Hipkins will ultimately continue to lose support from both sides of the issue depending on which audience he is facing at the time. So could Hipkins be Labour’s new Cunliffe? An expert at speaking out of both sides of his mouth to different audiences? How did that play out?

In the meantime National/ACT/NZF will ultimately win more support from Maori as the coalition continues to make improvements from all.

(Sure not radical activist Maori or the leftie MSM will support this – they will continue to stir and denigrate – remember according to radical activist Maori, they never ceded sovereignty to the Crown. You can’t win with them hence why Labour have painted themselves into the corner of irrelevance to middle NZers).

So next time we see the MSM news with Labour’s Hipkins and his MP’s spouting divisive nonsense and nodding their heads in agreement, let’s laugh at them because not only are they fools they are the ultimate losers.

  National, Act and NZ First need to enact actual change ASAP that will materially improve lives of Maori. These changes would be forcing children to attend school and let them know they are lucky to have a free education. Making sure all medical appointments are kept and educating them to seek medical help early. Kianga Ora start evicting undesirable tenants. Somehow trying to solve OT and educating people not to get high and drunk and hit their children.

Tauranga City Council has purchased The Warehouse building at 483 Cameron Road which will house four new indoor courts as part of the Memorial Park redevelopment.

  If a small town like Timaru needs a venue for a theatre (chronically low utilisation money pits) then big industrial building on low value land (allowing for cheap parking) is the way to go in an era where everyone has cars.

Maori were diversifying beyond agriculture, fishing and forestry (34% of the asset base) to real estate services, manufacturing, transportation, construction and others (66%).

Ngai Tahu, for example, is a registered charity in the same way that Sanitarium is.

    How did it measure the Maori economy? Totalling assets? How can you get an accurate value of Maori land, for example, when it’s inalienable – can’t be sold. There is no market for it.
    
    Ngai Tahu, probably the wealthiest tribe, has about 40 businesses operating free of company tax under its group charity listing. In the annual report linked to below, you will see that its net assets at June 30, 2023, were just under $1.8 billion.
    
    Where did Sunday newspaper’s estimate of the Maori economy come from? Throwing in the name of one of the big accounting firms in a passing mention isn’t a sufficient basis.
    
    Is the Left-leaning mainstream media now using Maori-style metaphoric language in its financial analyses?

    If the figures are accurate, then the non-Maori economy, on a population proportionate basis should be about $350b and the total NZ economy about $420b, well in excess of our GDP, which implies the Maori economy is massively outperforming the non-Maori; so, are Maori still being left behind in the economy?

  I am a GST registered, self employed IT contractor. Just like I can’t claim every single expense against my taxes, and all my income is subject to taxation, charities shouldn’t have 100% deductibility.

  The case the woman is fighting for is an underage, 16 year old Trans person who was murdered before they were old enough to change their gender. If it brings peace of mind to the parents then I’d have no problem with it. They’ve gone through hell with the murder of their child

    4. It is unsubstantiable. Did that person person wanted to ‘change’ their gender? Is there a sworn affidavit from the person concerned, or just the word of their parents, or parents (c.f. #2)

        It does harm people. Public record have a public purpose that goes far beyond the emotional feelings of any particular person. By writing down that this man was a woman, this child had no father, or two fathers or two mothers, you are falsifying the records of society. One of the issues is that AI programs train their systems by scanning tens of thousands of illustrations and linking them to verbal descriptions.

  Removing the plug misses the point. EV batteries are heavy, thereby contributing to road wear over & above what the comparable petrol powered vehicle does.
  
  If, in addition to the plug, they removed the battery, electric motors & related gubbins, then why not reclassify the hybrid to petrol only. But, I doubt that would be cost-effective.

Then of course, when a woman dares to speak the “customary” starting of another wailing and moaning, which puts a halt on listening.

Topped off with the normal line-up of elite, teat sucking airheads like Tamahere to utter all the threats he can.

If I was Luxon and co, I’d say to the organising crowd that we came to listen, to put our point of view, but you have shown contempt. We won’t be staying for tea and won’t be back.

I see the Chinese Stock Exchange took another dive last week (down -6.2% in a week). That is its worst week since 2018. In 3 years its value has eroded by $6 Trillion (USD).

Meantime, the real estate market is collapsing. Real Estate makes up about 35% of China’s economy, so this is big. Reportedly there are 65 million empty homes/units. The big property developers are going to the wall owing more than USD 500 Billion combined. Millions of buyers are being left high and dry after signing up for units “off the plan” with a 30% deposit (now gone) plus a mortgage that kicks in before the house is even built.

The Local Govt Funding Vehicles (which are literally ponzi schemes based on local land sales) are now starting to collapse as there is no new money coming in to provide liquidity to property developers.

This must be causing nightmares for the central planners in Beijing let alone the families that are seeing their life savings and more vanish overnight.

They are claiming that pakeha are committing genocide against maori, foreign companies are raping maori , and demanding a separate maori state. They’re all extremely serious allegations and demands.

Elite Maori are using the uneducated and unemployed as their goon squad. I’m sure it was one of these goons who tried to attack David Seymour today.

To be clear, invading a country is wrong on almost every level, and so is using a proxy-war to launder federal funds back to war machine corporate interests, no doubt with “big guy”/Dem donations attached.     Bottom line is that none of us have met Putin or really know what his intentions are or those of his supporters. Nor have any of us met Biden or Trump, but we’ve likely met some of their supporters.
    
    All we have to go with is the picture painted of Putin in the media.
    
    Most of us have little trust in the media’s portrayal of Seymour or Luxon or Chloe.
    
    But we should accept their portrayal of Putin? Right, that makes a pile of sense!
    
    I assume that everything we’re being told in the MSM is a lie and that they are deliberately trying to manipulate us. If you go with the polar opposite of what they are saying then you’re probably closer to the truth, but not necessarily so.

        No, not at all. Once a man is dead or the regime collapses, historians and other investigators get access to personal testimonies and official documents, we don’t have to rely on the New York Times or the BBC.
        The story of SIR Jimmy Saville is an excellent example of that, the lies protecting him evaporated once he died. Roy Morgan’s New Zealand Poll for December 2023 shows new Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and the National-led Government (National, ACT & NZ First) with a majority of 51.5% (down 6.5% from November) in their first month since being sworn in on November 27, 2023.

Support for National was down 1.5% to 36%, while support for ACT dropped 3% points to 9.5% and support for NZ First was down 2% points to 6%.

In December support for the defeated Labour-Greens-Maori Party Parliamentary Opposition was at 42.5%, up 6.5% points from November.

Support for Labour increased 1% point to 22% while support for the Greens surged 3% points to 15.5% – the highest support for the Greens for over a year since October 2022 and support for the Maori Party was up 2.5% points to 5%.

A further 6% of electors supported a minor party outside Parliament, unchanged from November. This includes 4% (up 0.5% points) who support The Opportunities Party and a further 2% (down 0.5%) who support other minor parties including the New Conservatives, Democracy NZ, New Zealand Loyal, NewZeal and the Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party.
