  The Dominion Voting machines are not really crooked, the people feeding the date to them are. That goes for the IT ‘experts’ checking the machines were working properly. Hello? Many machines started flipping votes 30 minutes after the IT people left!

    The thing is, even if you believe they are 100% clean, then tell me what is the point of voting machines? When paper ballots and hand counting is just as good.

      Our elections here are simple – just two votes per ballot paper.
      
      In the US the voting paper is a lot more complex, with lots more voting items per ballot paper. So the theory is that machines to speed up the count.
      
      Not saying I agree with that idea (I don’t, I think paper ballots are superior), but that’s their rationale

        Actually if the purpose is to read the ballots, the summaries could be tabulated onto paper, in which case the ballot readers do not need to be connected to the internet.
        
        And the summaries could be punched into a computer that sends the totals to the main election office.
        
        Multiple ways of doing it. But having voting machines and ballot readers hooked up to the internet with public IP addresses is a privacy breach. Allowing the machine / software engineers to update firmware and software during the election is just outright dumb and a security breach.
        
        Whatever you think of Trump, he packed out his meetings and rallies.
        
        And he lost the election to an animated cadaver, that looks like an extra out of “Zombies Dawn of The Dead”, and that behaves and talks like Edgar out of Men In Black (a farmer who is killed and eaten by a giant alien insect, which then wears his skin), and that struggled to get people to his rallies.

        @ Virtual mark – the cases never got to court! Every excuse in the book was given by the judiciary to not have the case come to court eg the complainant does not have jurisdiction, etc. Those that got to court had absurd rulings made by the judges.

      Manual signature verification of one every 2.9 seconds is a joke. It is impossible. The Democrats and Authorities refuse to accept the videos of bulk ballot drops in the middle of the night.
      Some vote counters told to go home at 9pn and come back at 9am in the morning. After they left, boxes of votes pulled out from under tables and the counting and flipping started again. One County (don’t remember where) had more votes counted than the number of registered voters!

    The people making the Rules about how Absentee Ballots works, how the Votes get collected, how the Vote gets verified and how the Vote could get Audited (lol) are also crooked.
    Because it looks by design that their Rules are easy to take advantage of for fraudulent voting…

      I think worst feature is the politically appointed judiciary of USA that prevent auditing, when aggressive auditing of all parts of process should be standard.
      
      The greatest recent weakness appears to have been voter role manipulation and exploitation – adding and deleting non-voters who some sleuths trached to living at non-existent addresses, or with 10’s of people living at same house, and in many cases added just pre and then removed just post election to hide tracks, combined with effectively anonymous voting via mail in ballots.
      
      Was at least one case where criminally collected large numbers of harvested mail in ballots were found in california, but also another case in east coast where a delivery truck full of unused ballots went missing in what appeared to be a steal-to-order incident. Other confessions from people who were paid to collect mail in ballots from post for vote fraud. These activities would clearly not occur without a major customer.
      
      On the day paper ballots would be a fix. Basically reset voting day procedures to late 20th century standards.

  I like Tucker, not as much as many others but he stands up for some things I think are worth standing up for.
  
  But I have zero sympathy for him, in the same way I had zero sympathy for Tova when she failed to read or understand the contract she willingly entered into. It had a Restraint of Trade clause preventing her from starting work for the short-lived and ill-fated Today FM (I guess Tova really was a silver bullet, just not the way she thought).
  
  Carlson willingly signed a contract with Fox News that has a clause stating that he’s not allowed to appear in any other media outlet until 2025. He signed the contract, he should stick to it. If he thinks he has a case to break it, he should do so using the proper legal channels.

Please can anyone say what our Prime Minister Chris Hipkins has achieved in his short term in Parliament and even in his talks around the world with other leaders all he will be remembered for is his cheesy smile and looking like he has just won a lollipop for his days work.
New Zealand’s should be worried because in their vote for a Labour Government they could unleash a Government that will make laws that are for there purpose not yours .
A vote for the Maori and Green Parties is a vote that will devide New Zealander’s and serve only one outcome, that being a loss of some of our best to other countries around the world because the Tax Poicies that will be put in place , these Parties are toxic to New Zealand and we will be poorer for it if the are elected as our next Government.

  Kate Hawkesby in the previous post along with our host DPF take some well earned shots at the government as the most incompetent ever, or at least certainly since the 70s.
  
  My reply would be – what is the criteria for assessing this government? Yes the liberal managerial class would say they are incompetent. But I would suggest they have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams in what they wanted to do.
  
  They have demonstrated they can shut down the country given sufficient emergency and totally control the economy. This is socialism.
  They can make people second-class citizens for refusing to take a vaccine. And most people will go along with it.
  
  They have done what every socialist government wants to do and marginalise the church. They have even brought in legislation determining what a person can pray or not pray with another person in the form of the conversion therapy bill.
  
  They have made people like Shaneel Lal entirely respectable, a columnist in the New Zealand Herald and with one word able to tell major corporations that they cannot provide essential services to people who disagree with his views.
  
  They have centralised the polytechnic and the health system.
  
  They have brought in co-governance at the level of the health system and the administration of the water.
  
  They have brought in one of the most liberal abortion regimes in the world. Abortion is now on demand at any time. It is not even covered in the crimes act anymore.
  
  They have demonstrated that they can totally control the media and announce themselves as the single source of truth.
  
  So I would say that this government has succeeded in their goals. Now it is up to the voters to decide – do we really want to live in the Socialist People’s Republic of Aotearoa?

    Great point – they’ve actually shown considerable skill in concealing and then pushing through unmandated policies – in particular, all the He Puapua stuff, including 3/5/x Waters.
    
    But where you go astray is in the name “socialist”. This is not a socialist government in any conventional sense, as shown by Hipkins’ refusal to entertain a CGT or a wealth tax on his watch. This government has no interest in the white working class . This is a cultural Marxist government, and its core ideologies are Critical Race Theory and radical gender ideology.
    
    BTW, not all of our present plight can be blamed on the Ardern-Hipkins government. The Key government got into bed with Te Paati Maaori, signed us up to UNDRIP, and brought radical gender ideology into our schools in the form of “Mates n Dates”.
    
    Don’t misunderstand me – I know the lesser of two evils when I see it. But we all need to pressure our local Nats candidates to undo the damage done in the last 14-15 years. For example, the absurd decree that Maatauranga Maaori is “co-equal” to so-called “Western” science needs to be thoroughly defenestrated. Left to his own devices, Luxon will do as little as possible – remember he’s from the woke corporate world.

      That’s not all. Luxon is against having a referendum on the true meaning of the articles of the treaty.

You probably won’t read about it in the media, but Chris Luxon went to Labour heartland yesterday. Speaking in Manurewa, a seat held by Labour’s Arena Williams with a majority north of 17,000, he drew an enthusiastic crowd of 700 for his biggest Back on Track meeting to date.

It wasn’t the crowd his critics normally lampoon either, the superannuitant set. This was a younger, and noticeably more multicultural crowd, as can be seen in the picture. He may not have the media on his side, but people are turning up to meetings three months out from the election in the kind of numbers we haven’t seen for a long time. That says to me that there is widespread discontent about the current government, and there’s a definite mood for change in the air.

  As long as it Act’s “real change” I’ll be pleased. Ruth Richardson and Don Brash tried to deliver “real change” as National Party MPs and both were discarded. I’ve followed politics since 1995 and have no confidence Luxon, Willis, et al will deliver the sort of *transformational* change this country requires.

    The two leaders you mention were booted after losing elections, I felt sorry for Brash, he probably deserved to win in 05 but he did stay for sometime before Key rolled him

    This Back on Track tour is the best thing Luxon could have done. He’s getting out and meeting people, often staying long after meetings end to talk one-to-one with people. And people like that he gives them his full attention. In person, he is very impressive.

Even a donkey with a red scarf around its neck will win with a margin of 10,000 votes. You guys are wasting time. I am dead certain it will be the toxic trio of Labour-Green-TPM that will emerge victorious on election night with 64 MPs to NAT-ACTs 56. National 40 ACT 16.     Hopefully it will come here – it’s not from a major studio so they might not have the international distribution planned months/years in advance like Disney would have. Why, when our National Financial situation is at it’s most precarious it has been in decades, are we in New Zealand spending 19 million to help wetlands in Asia and a further 16 Million on ecological projects in Indonesia?

Surely this could be better spent in say, paying the salaries of 400 Nurses and teachers?

What could a competent government do?

You may recall that Chris Hipkins’ mother works for the New Zealand Council of Educational Research. She was one of the architects of the new science curriculum, now being ridiculed.

This document explains the priorities of the Council.

    It’s my greatest fear with this ‘decolonisation’ extremism; that we throw the baby out with the bathwater.
    
    That student achievement will continue to decline, perhaps even quicken as a result of this decolonisation experiment, but that won’t matter – all that matters will be the degree to which we attain ideological purity.
    
    The wrecking and dashing of the hopes of hundreds of thousands of kids and their parents, in perpetuity, will be acceptable collateral damage. This is exactly what we’ve seen with our current education system; a state monopoly, a massive bureaucracy, in total control, presiding over a system of vested interests where student achievement slides year after year, decade after decade, and the left continues to insist that all is well and that our system is world class – that the only thing they’re lacking is even more and more money.
    
    As an aside, I just cannot understand the thinking behind that priority list, where there is no priority about our students being among the world’s highest achievers. If I was the Minister of Education and that group came to me for funding, and with those priorities,I’d give them a large slice of my mind and march them right out of the office.
    
    That group is not the solution – they are the problem!

        Good. Harder to deny a visa then, which is a real concern if they claim she’s only coming here to hold a rally (which she is) which will attract violent reactions from the trans activists (which it will).
        
        This is a much needed action on her part and I praise her for it. It will shine a bright light on the disgrace that happened at Albert Park in March. The police will have nowhere to hide. They will have to do their duty or it will be confirmed what many already suspect, that they were complicit through dereliction of duty and tolerant of the violence perpetrated by the mob.
        
        And NZ men need to stand up, be there in numbers and show staunch support, and if necessary protect the right of women (and all of us) to have their say without fear of violence.

The world cycling governing body has said that “female” transgender athletes who transitioned after male puberty will no longer be able to compete in women’s races – joining the governing bodies in track and field and swimming who are trying to maintain the simple concept of fairness in women’s events.

      I’ve provided the link to the article re the court ruling. The viewpoint is protected in uk law. And sex is protected in the NZ human rights act.
      
      For clarification I am not a Terf as per shaneels article. That is a slur. Terf says we are radical and exclusionary. TERFs do not exclude Transpeople from workplaces or service. They want the sex based rights upheld which are already in law.
      
      It is Lal that is a Sex Science and Biology Denying Radical .
      
      His regular opinion piece allows him to be judge jury and the only one with the microphone in the issue of Female Women’s sex based rights.

    All you can do is find a non woke reseller – a virtual network operator. They sell under their own name and have a wholesale agreement with one of the 3 network providers to carry the calls etc…
    
    All that does is shift the cream of the profit away from the Retail Mobile operations of the big 3 (if you are talking about a personal mobile)
    
    My still be worth doing. Enough people move to a Warehouse Mobile etc and the profit drop for the big carriers would be noticed.
    
    Better yet move your broadband and tell the Big 3 why you left. The core service is provided by Chorus, EA, Enable or another LFC for fibre and a lot of the ADSL broadband goes over the regulated copper provided by Chorus … that removes the revenue and profit lines from Spark, One or 2Degrees.
    
    I think that is a more meaningful way to hurt them

      The best since Jerome Kaino during the 2011 World Cup. If, like Kaino, he can find a level of consistency, the #6 jersey is his for a long time.
      
      And in Ethan de Groot and Tyrel Lomax, we have two of the best scrummaging props in the world. Lomax always looked to have the ability, but lacked self-belief. When Jason Ryan came in as forwards coach last season I reckon he told Lomax just how good he could be, and he’s starting to believe it. And whichever order you play Taylor and Taukei’aho, it doesn’t seem to matter.
      
      For Australia in Melbourne, I’d give Aaron Smith a week off, to freshen him up for his final home test in Dunedin. Start with Christie, then bring Roigard into the game. I’d also give Cane a week off, after he got another neck knock last night.

  It was a good performance though a bit patchy from the AB’s.
  
  Boks played with out a competent controlling and tactical kicking 1st 5… why I dont know. The ABs starved them of possession after the early scsre and racked up a good margin to create scoreboard pressure – the Boks panicked during the second 20 but reset at half time
  
  Second half could have gone differently if that try had been given when Beaudie dropped the bomb in the ingoal.
  
  Some standout work by De Groot, Frizzel, Jordan and I thought Telea and Barret J were good as well
  
  Barret S and brodie played well and upset the Boks lineout a few times, but the scrum wasnt good from just before half time to end of play. We were under scrum pressure often
  
  Good win at home – Boks a different beast offshore and we have a lot to work on.
  
  oh and the Dmac versus Richie debate is settled on that performance by Mounga last night. He was extremely good.

    I think we give up a bit at scrum time to have the mobility around the park.. but the Safers changed out 5 (?) players straight after the half break… util our replacement came on there was a bit of an imbalance… Williams won a scrum penalty first ever scrum in the Black jersy.

      Its the NZ way to pick mobile props… but it can let you down in a tight match. We need to be more solid there otherwise in a tight match in autumn conditions in France at the end of the year it may cost us a match in the knockout rounds….
      
      Looking at the age profile of our props we look to have a great group for the 27 RWC. Lomax, De Groot and Williams are all going to be in prime age or entering it at that time…

Anyone else find you do tend to give a lot more at Mass these days since they introduced Push-Pay? And you need to be sooo careful when you enter the amount. Wasn’t till I checked my transactions online a few weeks ago that I found I’d entered 500 instead of 50. Trying to get it reversed was impossible!

        Of course the right 10 people could redesign the RMA, excluding parliamentary counsel. A small taskforce of about that size did prepare drafting instructions for an amended RMA in 2010. However United Future pulled support for the legislation.

National annouce some of there Roading policy this morning with $500 milion to fix pot holes , it’s a sad indictment on roads when you have to start yout tenure if elected on fixing pothole on our roads especially when Labour has used this fund to put into other policy.
It’s going to take many years to fix Jacinda Ardern and Chris Hipkins fuck ups as there is many of them .

Just like they did with the peer to peer lending service Harmoney. Essentially, these programs cut out the middle man – the banks. They provide real and effective competition in lending markets.

I predict we will see a repeat of history. Banks will lobby the govt, telling them that Sweetspot is dangerous and too risky for lenders to participate.

The govt will oblige and shut down the operation, or like Harmoney, will only allow large financial institutions (banks) to lend thru the platform.

I wish I had of put much more money into Harmoney before the govt banned it. I was getting returns of ~8% while interest rates for term deposits were only ~3%. Now I have to put my money in the bank, which then takes my money and invests in the likes of Harmoney anyway. They give me half of the return and keep the other half of the profits for themselves! What a scandal!

It’s obvious why Labour does this. For tax income and control. So tired of this socialist bullc&@p.
