Well isn’t Ginny Anderson the joke of the year, been a Cabinet Minister for just over 3 months and has all the answers on the Mongrel Mob and calling Nationals latest answer on gangs “just a reheat” of what took place in the 2020 General Election and a ” pretty lazy move.
Minister Anderson wants to take a good look at herself, Labour and the Prime Minister Chris Hipkins and ask herself and those with the same view why have we got more Gangs and gang members, Major Crime,Ram Raids,Sexual with Common assaults and Fraud in New Zealand now in record numbers if this Labour Government was on top of the problem.
I will tell you why because all Labour have achieved in nearly 6 year is to divide New Zealander’s and hide crime with trying to hide their want of keeping the Maori population out of our Prisons at the expense of hard working honest New Zealander’s.

  Heard some university professor ‘expert’ saying the you couldn’t legislate gangs away and that polis had been campaigning hard on crime for decades with no results.
  
  Strangely 6 years ago I would have agreed with him however Labour have actually proven him wrong. They have successfully legislated in ways that have fostered gangs and massively increased gang membership. The way I see it, if you can legislate in ways that help gangs grow it stands to reason the opposite is also true.

    I too, find it disgusting that the Democrat use this man in his condition. That is all they have.
    I have seen dementia/ alzheimers in a family member. It is not good to deal with a person who tries hard but can’t reason. My Partner’s Father. At the end he died in a resthome, on a mattress on the floor so he did not fall and hurt himself.
    I was the only one left who he recognised. RIP.

  The constant reinforcement of these ideas will be hard to counter if not strongly debated so that the weaknesses are exposed.

  We’re being hit by maori interests from all sides.
  
  Maori commit more crime against us, maori get preferential educational opportunities and scholarships, now maori also get to queue jump for surgery, … and maori entities don’t have to pay as much tax, they get payouts from the government for being maori, maori have disproportionate political power …. it just goes on and on.
  
  I’m getting fed up with this nonsense. The promotion of maori to first class citizens does mean that my family and I are now second class citizens because our skin colour is incorrect.

        Our governments have always supported aspirations of Maori. Even as far back as the 1970s there were special grants to allow Maori to attend university. One of my flatmates in 3rd year was on his 7th year of a 3 year degree, funded by a Maori bursary. Lovely man, he did eventually graduate and became a farm advisory officer.
        It’s a fact that in order to to change one has to want to change and more money from government won’t make it happen.

      rouppe – after going for a tetanus shot after getting a dirty fishing hook through my leg, but finding out much later that my shot also included the vaccine for diphtheria and pertussis, neither of which I asked for, I will be double checking everything any doctor is trying to get into my body.

        Agree. I got the bivalent influenza shot a couple of months ago.
        
        I ummed and aahed for some time, especially since I’ve never had the flu both in years I’ve had a shot and in years I haven’t.
        
        Upon deciding to do it (mainly because I’m shit scared of ending up in a hospital at the moment, they’re a complete cluster) I specifically asked whether there was anything else, in particular covid, in the shot.
        
        The answer was no, so I went ahead…

    I don’t have a problem giving the flu vax to Maori and PI for free! I Maori and PI have more underlying health issues (obesity being one of them) and they are more likely to end up in hospital. If they are in hospital they are taking up precious space and money that would be better used for other purposes. Moari (and maybe PI) people are much less likely to get the flu vax so anything that encourages them to do so is good.
    
    Giving then a free flu vax is a cost benefit win. 2-5 days in hospital for one person probably costs the same as giving thousands of free flu vaxes.
    
    btw I am 100% against race based selection policies in general. I am however Pro policies like this on a cost benefit analysis. I think they help Maori, PI AND everyone else.

      Except, Robo, there actually are people who are not Maori, or Pacific Islander but are still poor and face the same kind of hardships that Maori and Pacific Islanders do. Why do they not matter as much?
      
      A better policy would be to say, how do we make [the flu jab, or whatever else], more available to people who aren’t getting it right now? I’d suggest mobile vaccine buses going to the places where people congregate (Saturday sports, or the beach, workplaces or supermarkets) and an easy system for updating medical records, so people don’t have to remember a number or carry a card. Perhaps a biometric marker, like the hand scans used by some time clocks.

        Sure, you are 100% correct. Better to use actual metrics rather then stereo typing based on race. But, as with Crime and terrorism, sometimes its better to stereotype then do nothing at all.
        
        I would have thought with the gazillions of public servants we would have been able to build a database of the people who are likely to need the flu jab but obviously that’s beyond them.

      The very concerning thing is people being afraid to speak up because they know they will come under attack. Exactly the same as happened with anyone daring speak out against covid policies. Doctors were struck off the medical register.

        We all know about the correlation between authoritarianism and socialism. They are mutually inclusive. One is required for the other. The correlation between racism and socialism is the one that surprises me. Why are socialists always obsessed with race? Do they simply use racial disharmony as a means to power? Or is it more that racism aligns well with their belief system of no human rights, unequal treatment for all etc so it comes naturally? Interested in people’s thoughts on this.

        AoR: That’s kinda what I had.
        The PCR was taking forever, so they did a quick RAT test which came back negative. When I got back from the theatre there was a text on my phone saying the PCR was positive.
        
        I am not surprised. I’d had CV19 about 5 weeks prior and the PCR is sensitive for a long time after.
        
        Due to the craziness of the system I went down in the stats as one of the people hospitalised with CV19 – although my hospitalisation had nothing to do with CV19.

      A senior nurse I spoke to in Chch hospital a year ago said she was going to leave nursing and take a factory job.
      
      I left South Africa 31 years ago. I thought that racist crap was behind me. I am now 61 so it is not that easy to move, but if I was 20 years younger I’d be gone.

  It’s across the whole system already. If you actually need care then be sure to identify as Maori. There are no requirements beyond ticking the box. Just tell your GP and they will be happy to change it as they then get funded at a higher rate to see you. The only reason you’re hearing about this is because surgeons are a different breed to the rest of the system (hence the Mr not Dr) which is mostly supportive of medical apartheid.

  I’ve touched on this before. How is a person with 10% maori blood and 90% other being given privileges based on that extremely small content?
  I think about 3 of my granddaughters, two of whom have some maori blood, while the other has none. How are they different? All three have been brought up in the same way without distinction.
  This nonsense that ‘maori’ are somehow so different that they need special treatment is criminal. And it is going to become increasingly stupid as inter-marriage continues and the maori bloodline thins even more.
  I feel strongly that the country is being destroyed at the hands of an activist minority – many of whom are recent European or North American immigrants with absolutely no empathy for the New Zealand my great great grandparents developed.       I think the logic is like this:
      
      If you WERE to release a bio weapon intentionally, you would make it as WEAK as possible while maximising its contagiousness. Viruses travel. If you were to release a dangerous virus intentionally, you would risk harming yourself or your own interests. There’s no win.
      
      The virus was just the first part of of two part bioweapon attack. The virus is intended to frighten the public and initiate the second phase of the weapon. The “vaccine”. You can then target the groups that you desire with the vaccine.

This has been a CIA program with Fauci oversight which had to be moved offshore when Obama put a stop to bio-weapons research. The program was passed onto Daszak and his company. The Furin cleavage site on the spike enhances infectivity.

  “Russell said she then held a meeting with Foon “where he explained his actions”.
  
  She said her preliminary view after the meeting was that “his actions were serious enough to warrant removal”.
  
  But Foon in the meantime resigned.

  IMO it is the trans gender war that has eroded public support for gay themed events. Over 50 years gays successfully campaigned to be free of discrimination because of who they were sexually attracted to.
  
  The gender obsession is entirely different. We are being asked to accept that gender can be changed, (indeed last week Parliament legislated for just that – now anyone can simply advise DIA to change the sex on their birth certificate) , and that children can be given treatment by doctors to stop puberty.
  
  I do not understand how the “T’ successfully merged with the “LGB” movement. Time for a break away.

      France also still had the slave trade in 1840. Slavery had been abolished in the British Empire years before the Treaty was signed. By the 1830s many Maori had sailed overseas and saw the effects of slavery. The French were still very interested in New Zealand in the late 1830s.

        Slavery was outlawed in the United Kingdom in the 1600’s. It was legal in the possessions of the Empire.
        
        It was a court case I believe about a slave owner bringing his servant who was a slave into the UK that was the precursor to the banning of slavery in the Empire.
        
        After the ending of the Napoleonic Wars, Britain went about getting rid of slavery with a will. In 1816, a years after Waterloo, Edward Pellew lead an Anglo Dutch Squadron and bombarded Algiers to get the Bey of Algiers to stop taking slaves from the British Isles. The slave pens can still be seen on Lundy Island where the Barbary Pirates held slaves.
        
        Then the W African Squadron, hunted down slave ships and slavers and the Squadron was basically a death sentence for many of the men involved owing to Yellow Fever, Malaria etc.
        
        Britain raised a loan of 40% of GDP to “buy the slaves” of Caribbean Slave Owners to give the slaves their freedom. Loan was only paid off this century.

        It is interesting to see the positive effect of the British Empire in Africa.
        
        Both my grandfathers fought to end slavery: one in South West Africa and the other East Africa (now Tanzania). The Germans were not active slavers as far as I can tell, but they turned a blind eye to Arab and African (black on black) slavery. When the Brits kicked them out of East Africa and SW Africa, tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of British soldiers and sailors were engaged in stopping slavery.
        
        Just one bit of evidence of how well this was appreciated is to be seen by observing the movement of Owambo people in SWA. Under the Germans, many Owambos moved north into Angola. They prefered the Portuguese to the Germans. When the Brits took over SWA, the Owambos flooded back. They much prefered the Brits over both the Germans and the Portuguese.
        
        Many of the other colonial powers liked conflict between their subjects: a divided house is easily ruled. But Brits worked hard to bring the Pax Britannica – peace, prosperity, the rule of law and justice to the areas they managed.

David Lillis has a very long, well-written opinion piece about the proposed Refreshed Curriculum for Science, Technology and Arts in our primary and secondary schools.

If this curriculum is pushed through, publicly-funded education in NZ will become a disaster.

As with NCEA, it will take at least 1 generation (20-25 years) before anyone in authority has the guts to admit that the curriculum is inadequate.

When the new curriculum comes into force in 2026, approximately 860,000 students will become exposed to the curriculum, or a precursor of it, at early childhood, primary and secondary level (Lillis, 2022c). Over a decade from 2026, a total of about 1,536,000 New Zealand students will have experienced the curriculum, at a minimum. Similarly, over twenty years from 2026, approximately 2,263,000 New Zealand students will have experienced the curriculum.

    *Encourage your children to read widely and often.
    
    *Discuss things (about anything & everything) with your children.. get them used to voicing their views.
    
    * Show your children how to do practical things..and just integrate things like measuring/estimating/and checking into the activities.
    
    * Make them responsible for:
    Care of their clothes/equipment/ room/pets
    
    * Give them chores…..with rewards (pocket money or treats)
    
    For progress in maths… Check on key concepts that child should have mastered at appropriate age..and use the loads of resources (and short lesson clips) on Youtube to help child.
    
    I expect most kids will get bored to tears with the constant reference to Maori myths, language and history year after year and class after class.
    
    (I already see this in some of the high school pupils – Maori and non-Maori – I have for literacy lessons).

He originally allowed schools, restaurants, sports venues, movie theatres and pubs to remain open.
This decision was backed by an advisory group of UK scientists.
Then public panic resulted in the passing of legislation, probably aimed more at political expediency, than genuine health research.
So he is being censored for breaking the laws, he he didn’t want to introduce, even although current research suggests the parties caused no public danger.
He also upset public opinion by his failure to wear a mask prior to contracting covid himself.
Public opinion is often the leeming approach, even if leemings don’t really behave in that way.

Visit Maori Battallion battle or grave sites and post some video and thoughts?

Put aside your Maoriness for a minute and visit Whitehall or even the House of Commons and post a wee lecture on the origins of Westminster Democracy or similar?

Make a visit to significant RAF historical sites and post a video on the history of New Zealander’s involvement in the Battle of Britain?

What about a wee video on what happened to early NZ trade goods, flax, whale oil and timber etc, and where they ended up in the UK and how they were used?

What a marvellous thing it would be if hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders saw your work and remarked to themselves “Gee, what wonderful work this person has done. What thoughtful documentaries. I’ve now got a much better idea about what makes them tick. And I have a newfound respect for them and what they might offer.”

  I was at Orewa. The Police did not do anything about the trespassers. They later said to make the meetings private, which they now are.
  Same has happened in Dunedin Saturday night. The Police did nothing, the “private meeting” had to be closed.

  Such small passage ways are very common in dam walls and are normally obviously visible from outside (eg. there’s a door at the bottom of the wall – I wonder where that goes?).
  
  During WW2, the Allies blew up some Axis dams in a similar way – by accessing and blowing up passage ways. By your logic the Germans must have done it to themselves!

Apartheid built the largest hospital in the world, outside of China, to serve the people of Soweto. It is (or at least was in 1990s) arguably the best hospital in the world to get treatment for trauma like knife and gunshot wounds.

In the 1980s, I was at university in Cape Town. Due to some stuff-ups in the paperwork, I was classified as “coloured” (mixed race) instead of white. I got exactly the same treatment. Nobody gave me lesser treatment for being coloured or pushed me to the front of the queue when they saw I was white.

Sure, hospitals in SA were segregated in most areas (not all were), but the quality of care in state hospitals was by no means lesser for non-whites.

  Coloured. Apparently my Grandfather (who died before I was born) used to say “Colour red” So did my Father. Somewhere in the Ancestry there is some Black African blood. My Grandfather never got sunburnt (apparently) My Dad never got sunburnt, and I rarely burn.

How did Meng Foon’s company get paid 2 million from the government? I’d be quite interested in that. How was this deal jacked up?

A new poll by the Economist and YouGov has found that Robert Kennedy Jr is now pushing ahead of President Joe Biden for the 2024 Democratic nomination. Robert has the highest favorability ratings of any candidate at present. Although Joe had been the favourite, he may not win the first two contests of the primary season if they begin in Iowa and New Hampshire.

“This latest poll is sending shockwaves among the political class in Washington DC,” an email from Robert’s campaign says. “After being in the race less than two months, Kennedy is viewed favourably by 49 percent of those polled, while Biden is at 45 percent, and Trump comes in third at only 43 percent.”

Prime Minister Chris Hipkins has moved to salvage a key Budget offering by backing down on requiring early childhood centres to accept children whose parents only wanted to enrol them for the 20 hours free scheme, a move early childhood centres said would have made it hard to remain in business.

The $1.6 billion expansion of the 20 hours free scheme to include 2-year-olds was one of the Budget moves aimed at helping with the rising cost of living and was to kick in from March next year.

Is he an idjut? The whole point of this new tool is that it’s discriminatory.
If you are Maori the tools assumes you need to be shoved up the waiting list.

Is Hipkins suggesting that this policy might have been introduced without checking first to make sure it wasn’t discriminatory?

I want to know why this government thinks it’s a good idea to enable poor health choices by Maori, which is what this policy does by trying to get the same outcomes for them no matter the choices they made that led to their health problems.
