What have the Government and Prime Minister achieved with the change of name from Three Waters Legislation to New Affordable Waters.
Well the answer is nothing it’s still the same turd with the same stench of corruption with more lies and gaslighting from the Minister Kieran McNulty and Prime Minister Chris Hipkins, so how can the Local Government Minister distance himself from the New Affordable Waters reforms from Co Governance, especially when Waikato-Tainui Chair reveals the Co Governance aspect of the New Affordable Waters Reform will remain.
So who is lying here when you have Q&A Host Jack Tame saying keeping Co Governance is very bold, then you have Waikato-Tainui Chair Tuku Morgan who is to be part of the Northland Auckland Entitysaying he is over the moon being
part of it.

    About these 50/50 boards.
    
    Surely if Labour was being true to Te Tiriti …. Maori would only be allowed on the Maori board?
    
    Which surely means Labour needs to implement a racist/apartheid law of banning Maori/part Maori for standing for the “Crown” side (i.e. the other part of the 50% equation).
    
    Surely this applies to eg Council/Regional Council elections (i.e. wherever there are Maori wards). Because currently Maori can stand for both sides of the equation. Isn’t favoring one race … racist?
    
    Anyway clearly Labour have no idea of the unintended consequences they are unleashing with their radical ideas and policy. And why should the co-governance test-case be something significant as 3 Waters? Why not something simple? which means what is the real agenda here? Further co-governance for critical industries and entities?
    
    Thank goodness both National and ACT are against Labour’s policy and will ensure there are no racist/apartheid aspects to 3 Waters.
    
    Labour, hang your heads in shame for enabling racist/apartheid thinking in modern day NZ!

Gaia declares war on asthmatics.

Apparently, a single puff on an inhaler equates to driving from Auckland to Taupo. Seems unlikely, but if true then asthmatics are climate criminals.

Given the number of asthmatics in NZ, I’d say we could eliminate our $24B carbon credit bill by getting rid of every asthmatic. Unless, this item is not included in our carbon credit tally. In which case, the bill will shoot up. Uh-oh.

      Agree, the good old benevolent creation of the League of Nations!
      It should be obvious to all that nationalism, cultural identity, free democracy and state sovereignty have been under UN/WEF attack for decades, every facet, ideological, societal, cultural, education, biology etc. Yet many refuse to even consider the possibility of being ever more subjugated by the expanding control of a financial (and now allied tech) elite with multinational power interests.
      
      As you (no doubt) appreciate kk, the signals are all around us, especially as our lives become ever more constrained by decisions and actions of unelected people (yep the WHO will likely mandate our next NZ lockdown and compulsory medical intervention).
      
      Other examples include the WEF ambassador King Charles who has campaigned on organic farming since the 1970s, now conceding to give Royal Assent to Genetically Modified Crops last year!
      
      Take Elon Musk being constantly criticised by the corporate media, clearly he doesn’t fit the elite billionaire peer group, especially when he recently advocated for State Sovereignty over Globalist Governance, or even had the temerity to discuss Russia/Ukraine peace options.
      
      Every MSM news cycle offers ‘narrative contradictions’ which are easy to spot……it’s just a matter of applying some degree of critical thinking.

A foreign domiciled car needs to separately register in any of 200 cities across Europe that it visits, otherwise it is automatically deemed to be non ULEZ compliant. Fines are up to GBP 1,857 per day (Vienna).

Naturally, there is not a single point or method of registration.

The lazy headline hides the fact that the story does not explain the methodology by which all non-indigeniety factors were controlled for. Without that, the study proves nothing.

Forcing racial division in important decision making bodies without even a smell of democratic process is exceedingly dangerous and is a significant step on a rapidly descending slope toward anarchy. The elitists, the totalitarians, the socialist manipulators are gaining boldness. The Fourth Estate are toothless, bought and paid for, infiltrated by juvenile lightweights, not even an apology for a journalist.

It will get worse. The agenda aided by Covid claptrap and the puerility of climate change is control and submersion of citizens and their rights.

Join a gun club. Get some practise. You younger ones are going to have to regain democracy, one law for all, racial colour blindness with a lot more than a ballot box.

    Jacinda Adern, Nanaia Mahuta chris hipkins. and Grant Robertson aren’t clever enough to run a clandestine socialist takeover and there really is no personal benefit for the aforementioned labour hierarchy.
    
    5 waters and the covid Response are a Labour hierarchy gravy train, and a huge one at that.
    
    Get out and support National or ACT or both. Christopher Luxon doesn’t need a gravy train, he gave up huge earnings to become a politician. National and Act will end the gravy train quick smart.
    
    Then we must insist on an investigation as to what benefit Jacinda Adern derived from lying to us all about the safety and efficacy of the covid jab.

        Acts TOW referendum is the only way to stop the nonsense.
        
        Our support for National and ACT becomes more important because the referendum results need to be entrenched to be meaningful.

        Funding for the research Maggy Wassilieff links to came from the Foundation for Research Science and Technology, which through mergers, is now part of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
        
        MBIE’s assigned role is to deliver policy, services, advice and regulation “which contribute to New Zealand’s economic productivity and business growth”.
        
        Other examples are the State’s Marsden Fund grants, administered by the Royal Society of NZ (increasingly using the title Te Aparangi).
        
        Take these from the 2022 Marsden Fund grants:
        
        – $870,000 to Professor L.E. Pihama, of Maori and Indigenous Analysis Ltd for: “Nga Kare-a-roto: The Ripples Within – Maori Understandings and Expressions of Emotions”. Maori and Indigenous Analysis Ltd is a company based in Ngaruawahia, and owned by Leonie Eileen Pihama.
        
        – $647,000 to Dr A.S. Calude, of Waikato University for: “Two languages in my kete – a developmental sociolinguistics approach to cultural nuance and social identity in everyday kiwi words”.
        
        – $575,000 to S.C. Lilley, of Victoria University, for: “Empowering Indigenous knowledge: Decolonisation and Indigenisation of Gallery, Library, Archival, Museum and Records (GLAMR) institutions”.
        
        The Lilley grant is relevant given the bureaucrats’ great cull of the State’s national book collection.

        Clan. The end of life and Marijuana legalization referenda were both honoured and (in my humble opinion) both came up with the right answers.
        
        Act and National will need a referendum to eliminate race based policies otherwise they will have no counter to the shrill racism calls from our despicable media.
        
        Regarding the lack of opposition to the covid strategy, over 50% of voters supported Jacinda Adern despite her runnng the most expensive covid response in the developed world.
        
        Any politician would have got a pasting if they opposed the strategy whilst the Stockholm syndrome and the despicable NZ media were in full flight.
        
        That said I believe an ethical and honest politician should have stood up and opposed the syrategy (as i was doing on a few prominent blog sites).
        
        My solution is an investigation into why Jacinda ignored and hid medsafe advice the vaccine was neither safe nor effective. Then went on to poisin a nation (including me and my children).
        
        Ensuring there are consequences for politicians who use their position to enrich themselves, will hopefully discourage future politicians from doing the same.

        Clan. We can devise and advocate sensible solutions, then we are at the mercy of elected officials to listen and implement them. That is the imperfect system we have to work with.
        
        History shows that our political system is the best there is.
        
        It will be a much worse result if we simply whinge about everything, or spend our time throwing abuse at politicians we need to achieve change in the naive belief it will help the politicians we support, or if we give up and do nothing.

        Mark – I appreciate what you say, but after over 30 years of watching 5 CIRs utterly ignored by politicians, and their broken promises while electioneering, t is hard not to “whinge”.
        
        These referenda took a massive amount of time, and energy to put together.
        
        Just to remember, these were:
        
        maintaining ‘the number of professional firefighters employed full time in New Zealand’
        
        reducing ‘the size of the House of Representatives’
        
        reforming the criminal justice system by ‘imposing minimum sentences and hard labour’
        
        whether corporal punishment ‘as a part of good parental correction [should] be a criminal offence in New Zealand’
        
        support for sale of government assets.
        
        The first four received overwhelming support for their propositions – 87.8%, 81.5%, 91.8% and 87.9%, respectively. They were all ignored. Why are politicians ignoring the will of the people they are elected by and paid by to represent?
        
        At what point will they actually do the bidding of the people who elect them?
        
        As for ACT, I ask the question repeatedly of both them and National. At what point will they acknowledge that their support for, and talk of harder policies against people who dared oppose the utterly flawed covid policies was wrong?
        Or do you think it’s acceptable for them to ignore this total abuse and hope it goes away? Is that a valid strategy?
        If that’s a “whinge” then so be it.

        Steve. If Adern’s goal was to implement an enduring coup (not sure what you mean by coup), why did she resign? History shows us that zealots fight to the bitter end.
        
        Follow Aderns bank account and you will discover her actions had nothing to do with socialist ideology, she absolutely shafted the poor with inflation, house prices, and rents whilst enriching herself.

    I think you’re right. I think the fact that most of the country rolled over and had their civil liberties taken away during 2020/2021 proved that. Too many have been brainwashed by the media, any dissent from what they preach means you are racist, sexist, a TERF or a conspiracy theorist, and I don’t think Kiwis want to be labeled as such.   Covid was a tool for division and destruction of society. It was the advance guard. Race and gender are the next set of shock troops to further shred any semblance of societal cohesion.
  All of these things are being either driven or enabled by every politician in parliament.
  
  The question is, how many are doing this with total awareness of the potential outcome and how many are useful idiots? More importantly, how many are aware of the dangers of all of these policies but are too cowardly to speak out in opposition?
  I share your concerns, the erosion of democracy is well under way. We probably have one more election to stop this spiral. I hope it is National and Act who get the chance to fix this, but I must admit to having little confidence that they will, based on what I’ve seen so far.
  I really do hope to be proven wrong and I promise to put a full apology here if in 2 years, things are substantially better.

    We aren’t alone it is happening in every single Western country at the moment.
    
    Outside of the right of the GOP, some fringes of the conservative and liberal parties of the UK and Australia very few get it.
    
    The problem is the 1% and their corporate interests (i.e. Davos elites) can see the $ of going down this avenue having their lives unaffected while the rest of us suffer. They are very powerful and control A LOT of politicians on both sides as well as the media and increasingly public institutions. A lot of powerful people are unwilling to speak up after seeing how they have gone after Trump, and to a lesser extent Musk.
    
    The only way to change this is to change our consumer habits. Like what consumers in the US did with Budlight. We should be undertaking similar campaigns with the like of Kiwibank but again that takes time, resources and money. It’s not an easy task to stop the rot.

      FtT – I’ve been down the consumer habit path for quite a few years. My family are more fortunate than most in that we are pretty much fully self sufficient. Certainly for power and water.
      You are correct though. It is up to as many of us as possible to change habits. Stop supporting those things we oppose. Do not comply with madness.
      
      It doesn’t take all that many to do this and the edifice of shit crumbles.

      The numbers on the Maori roll will spike sharply at certain times, and drop off prior to the election, as the gerrymandering promoted by the recent law change allows them to change rolls with impunity.
      
      Get the numbers up to get more Maori electorates, which is based on roll numbers, and then switch back to the General Roll to vote for your preferred lefty party. Simples.

        @Steve, the question is what do we need to purchase from the rest of the world. What are the people prepared to do without. If we ceased trading today as in finito benito, nothing in nothing out what would be the consequence. Everybodies Tv, radio, cellphones, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave would continue to work (at least for a while). Electricity would still be generated, there would be occasional power cuts as we ran out of wind power, we could chose to dig and burn coal. Petrol/diesel would be an issue as we haven’t migrated to EVs in serious numbers yet. Life would not be idyllic and most would not want to live it, but it could be done. What I’m trying to say is that if we slashed herds by 20% we would be 20% poorer but still richer than many other third world countries. Much of the issue we face today is that after many years of thinking ourselves to be wealthy, with the selling of of national assets (electricity, communications etc) there are a number of companies/individuals who made and are still making a killing and expect to continue making a killing whilst the country gets poorer. They don’t want to give up their wealth..

There are a myriad of problems with 3 waters or whatever childish iteration is being used to describe it today. One matter usually overlooked is that we all want First World outcomes but only have Second or soon-to-be a Third World status income to pay for it.

We over engineer much of this type of infrastructure, pay consultants a heap to avoid elected people taking blame, are too small a country to get enough competition and scale benefits and have contractors who know how to gouge with overruns.

    There’s no contractor over runs , margins are very tight . One mistake and you’re losing money . The over runs are from all the hold ups due to ecologists , iwi , hapu, council , regional council , archaeologists , and by the far the worst , bloody incompetent designers/engineers/consultants .
    
    The time lost waiting on a design tweak once you’ve proved the original doesn’t work or there’s not enough detail on plans is horrendous . The trick is to suggest what they could do and let them take it as their idea . You still hv to wait days/weeks for written permission to carry on . It’s called a variation and that’s where the cost comes from .
    It’s not the contractors fault st all .
    Some are good and can make an on the spot call and the works go on . Typically the boomer generation . They know their shit and hv the balls to make a call . Sadly a lot are retiring and the newer ones are quite frankly crap.

  This is the real issue. Our ability to fund first world solutions has been squandered. Our per capita GDP is 25% lower compared to the rest of the OECD than it was in 1980, when we were still a rich country.
  
  Now we are a poor country, but we still want to add regulatory impediments and burdens. Making it harder to produce things, make money and prosper means that we will increasingly not be able to pay for the things our citizens want – roads, healthcare, education!
  
  Having a rich neighbour where a single plane ticket increases your earnings 30% and your standard of living by quite a lot more, is only exacerbating the problem.

The Black and Tans, of course, were a notorious group of British reserve troops infamous for attacks on civilians, extrajudicial murders, arson and looting between 1920-22. Their actions further swayed Irish public opinion against British rule and drew condemnation in Britain.

New Zealand’s Ambassador to Ireland, Trevor Bovverboy Mallard, should be sprung into action, I reckon.
Reprising his role in those protests that disrupted Parliament here last year, like.
A bit of training sprinklers on a couple of Biden speeches on his visit and maybe the tannoy blasting of some horrifically-annoying music is called for, no?
New Zealand’s other Labour Party diplomatic ‘plant’, Phil Goff, Ambassador to the USofA, should be told to boycott a Washington D.C. buffet or two, too.
And if that doesn’t signal this country’s displeasure at our sainted Men In Black having their brand sullied, we might then to go full nuclear and send Nanaia Mahuta and her moku kauae to force an apology…

Something I missed…

Last year Pfizer applied for approval for the covid vaccine for infants aged 6 months to 4 years. General approval has been declined. It is only available for infants with serious medical conditions such as compromised immune systems.

  To be honest there’s little medical benefit in giving under-30s the Covid vaccine, unless they have clear complicating factors like asthma, obesity etc.
  
  That was said-but-not-said with the way the vaccines were rolled out by age group.
  
  I suspect the messaging was easier and less confusing if you just said “Everyone get vaccinated” rather than “Everyone over 40, and then you, and you, and you, but not you or you”. I suspect the advertising people wanted a single simple message.

    virtualmark – the messaging and the policies were totally deliberate and for a single purpose, to force or bribe or compel or gaslight as many people as possible into getting the experimental jab. None of it was accidental.
    
    This was political, it had nothing to do with concern for health. We know that, especially when we now know they deliberately removed information showing their was risk, in particular to young males. Why would you hide this information from people?
    
    Also, the jabs increase your risk of getting covid, the jabs don’t stop transmission or infection. Ergo, if you are at risk from covid (or any other respiratory illness) due to other underlying health issues, you are putting yourself at greater risk by having the jab.
    
    Any efficacy is very short lived. A matter of maybe 3 months. Then efficacy becomes negative.

  There is zero rationale for recommending this experimental jab to anyone under the age of 70. The younger you go, the more insane the whole idea is.
  
  There are serious concerns that the jabs negatively impact your innate immune system. Probably not the best idea then to give them to people who are already compromised I would have thought.

  Both major parties know there are problems in those traditional local body areas. The issue is how to handle the problems.
  They have built up over the years because the various councils, quite frankly, haven’t wanted to spend the money.
  One day, if nobody can agree, water will be privatized like electricity and then we’ll see the public wail at the cost.

The financial markets have picked up overnight because they “smell” a pivot in US foreign policy.
Not in the Fed policy, but in the Ukraine war support narrative.
The US intelligence agencies have used a leaked documents story as air cover to allow us to see that Ukraine/US/UK is actually losing the war in Ukraine. They are getting little buy in from Europe, and running out of hardware to fly in. You can’t fire US $$$cash out of a cannon or tank.
The sanctions policy against Russia has adversely affected the US dollar hedgemony and now we will see the first moves to try and save face.
We, NZ, need to make sure we stay on the right side of history here – i.e. on the fence.

Walked along Downtown Auckland waterfront this morning. What a disgrace, homeless people lying around all over the place with their mountains of blankets etc, piles of litter overflowing bins, and beggars openly asking for money, which I thought was illegal. Makes me so ashamed of my city. This is the area cruise ships come into and tourists from surrounding hotels stroll. Surely this is not the image the city wants to present to the world. Why is something not done about cleaning it up. Millions have been spent on rejuvenating the area and now this.

  Yes, was in the CBD recently and thought it was shameful. At least 2 clearly mentally ill people standing in the road acting out or shouting at the air. Fat homeless people spread on the path. Small group drinking on the footpath despite the liquor ban.
  Some good eateries and bars have closed. The roads are torn up.
  Yuck.
  Felt better at night after it had rained and under electric light – during the day was shabby and seedy-feeling.

Many people believe that 3 waters means that the water system will be fixed and the rates will go down.
Here’s what will really happen based on the “Super City” experience.
When the super city was proposed it was with the promise of improved infrastructure and lower rates. Sound familiar yet?
All rates were collected centrally and distributed centrally. A new rates model meant Orakei rates went up 40% (for equity”) but has not received any of the “local board projects” fund (for pools etc) which was decided centrally.

The 3 waters will be the same mechanism.
1. All water users will pay for water (with rebates for special cases eg marae). Once the taxing mechanism is in place it will increase to pay for water projects. There will be announcements of multiyear projects to solve “complex problems”, and a sneaky royalty payment to iwi. The water tax rate will be tweaked for “water justice”.
2. General taxes may need to be increased. There may be a dedicated tax similar to road user charges.
3. Each water authority (4, 10, 100 it doesn’t matter) will be starved of cash and have to apply to funding from the central body.
4. The central body is a political entity and allocate based on politics (same as state highway funding. Remember Labour cancelled major roading project in National electorates once elected in 2017).
5. Regional water projects quickly become regional employment projects. With payments funneled through iwi, what could possibly go wrong?
6. Rates do not decrease.

Years later the water situation will have reached the same stage as state housing and hospitals. The queues are massive but people keep voting Labour because Labour promise to spend more than anyone else to fix the “years of underinvestment”.

The jab has killed more than 50% more people than “COVID” itself.

Exhibit 1: there was no unexpected or unusual death in Korea for the first 18 months of the global, ahem, “pandemic” – not until almost the entire country was jabbed at any rate, near enough 100% of the adult population. Weird that.

Exhibit 2: as a matter of fact, Korea experienced less mortality than expected for the first 18 months of the “pandemic”, including a rather meagre 3,000 “COVID” deaths. Post-vaccination, excess deaths soared. COVID deaths really took off too but nowhere near as much as overall excess deaths. The most recent data (to Jan-23) shows just over 33,000 COVID deaths and more than twice as many excess deaths at almost 70,000.

NZ is also seeing unprecedented excess mortality, but it isn’t acknowledged by msm or health authorities. The data is there, they just refuse to talk about it.
Anyway, Mr Smalley’s conclusion.

I consider the COVID deaths to be jab deaths, as well as all the other excess deaths – unless you really think that “lockdown” deaths only coincidentally occur after jabs, naturally…).

So, that’s roughly 70,000 jab deaths on a vaccinated population of around 38.7 million. In other words, a jab fatality rate of 0.18% which is pretty consistent with quite a few other studies, including the infamous Skidmore one retracted involuntarily.

Any system as complex as Three Waters is going to become an expensive bureaucratic monster.
What’s wrong with a national water team to do a survey of the country, identify local needs and costs and then use centrally borrowed money for local councils to get the work done? A few expert water engineers, perhaps co-opted from successful councils, could get the job done in no time, especially as most councils have their plans but lack the funding.
Any plan that means more offices, cars, bureaucrats just about always ends up with huge sums wasted and very little of the work getting done.
And with this bunch of incompetents nothing would get done.

  Let’s put aside the clear contradiction that is, on one hand, ‘racism’ requires “punching down” from a position of power, yet Whites obviously don’t have that much power, given the uniquely open hostility they are subjected to (which they wouldn’t allow if they really had the power to prevent open hostility). On the contrary, it is those who cannot be criticised that have the actual power. This is self-evidently the case.
  
  Racism is not a universally applicable designation, so when White people assert that they are against racism, they don’t seem to understand that they are against themselves, which is clearly a losing strategy. I see Labour just triumphally announced they found an extra $10m for Dunedin Hospital.

As if they hadn’t already slashed $90m from the building.

They must think the voters are stupid. (They may be right.)

My partner’s mum called by for a bite earlier.

She was a wee bit sad today to hear that fashion icon Mary Quant had died. Had been a big fan of hers back-in-the-day apparently.
Even brought an old clipping from the Horrid to show me…. it was Ma in 1968 boarding the Devonport Ferry wearing a Mini-Skirt and knee-length boots.
Unlike now, you could certainly tell she was nooo trannie 😛

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak exploited Labour’s divisions on transgender rights on Thursday as he declared that no one with a penis could be considered a woman.

Contrasting his views with those of Sir Keir Starmer, the prime minister told Tory activists that “biological sex” was “fundamentally important” when drawing up the UK’s equality laws.

Labour and National are tied in the latest Talbot-Mills corporate poll, sitting on 36 per cent each.

Labour is down one point from last month’s poll, and National is up two points.

The Act Party is on 10 per cent, down two points, while the Greens are on 9 per cent, up one point.

NZ First was on 3.9 per cent, with Te Pāti Māori and TOP on 1.9 per cent and 0.8 per cent respectively.

Just had good fun in Central Park on Lambton Quay arguing with the ‘ban ‘Fonterra’ protesters. Took great pleasure in telling them that their electric bikes, clothing, footwear, phones, computers, tv’s ,
Stylised spectacles, were all made in China and paid for with Fonterra’s overseas earnings, and that they were gold plated hypocrites. They told me to ‘fuck off’, I said thanks for proving me right.

I see the sacked Today FM employees have discovered some money in their bank accounts that they’d like to set fire to by suing mediaWorks, and have guaranteed they’ll lose by hiring the same lawyer that lost Tova her lawsuit – ironically trying to start work at Today FM earlier than the legal contract she signed permitted her to do.

The article doesn’t state if O’Brien is a party to the suit, but if she is stupid enough to throw yet more money away then the old saying applies: fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Something I don’t understand about the “mana whenua” appointees. From where do they get their authority? Do iwi members vote for who represents them? Is it possible to split, merge, or dissolve an iwi or are we permanently stuck with how they were arranged in 1840? What exactly _are_ they except old boys societies for Maori?
