Merry Christmas

“So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

I think God had to come as a baby. If he came as a Trump or an Ardern, or a pope or some wise academic (lolz), we couldn’t believe it.

Thank you, and may I wish the same to you and yours.

I won’t get to see my family this Christmas; I am working overseas as I lost my ‘right’ to work at my profession in my own country, for disagreeing with the jab mandate.

I am not brimming with seasonal goodwill for the inhabitants of the Beehive. A plague on all their houses.

  A merry Xmas to all kiwiblog readers as well. Don’t forget to go to church and remember the reason for the season. The reason is the baby Jesus.
  
  Lastly I’d recommend forgiveness for those who have done you wrong. I know many have suffered under things like the covid mandates. But forgiveness is the antidote to bitterness and despair.

    You can forgive them, sure, but I never will. Now the socialists have pushed us this far, do not be surprised if they try this again in the future.

      I am guessing you are in the medical profession.
      Because of our stupid Labour Govt, many here just can not get the treatment they need, they suffer. I do hope those rule will be changed, they may have changed some.

        Yep Steve despite all of the international contemporary scientific data (demonstrating poor Comirnaty vaccine efficacy) NZ MoH is still mandating covid vaccines for all health care workers regardless of their personal risk profile.

        Yes, the bought-and-paid-for NZ mass media have been very quiet about the fact that the jab-rules remain in effect for healthcare workers, and certainly I have met no one working here = overseas who has any desire for either professional and personal reasons to move to New Zealand – and no, I didn’t give them my opinion first 🙂

    Please keep in mind that while Labour led the coercion of the jab mandate, Nats, like Bishop were for door-to-door jabbing. Collins wanted to ban the unvaxxed from entering supermarkets.
    Our entire government of 120 MPs were quite okay with trampelling our human rights.

It’s a cracking day here in Hawkes Bay and looking forward to a glass or two of Bolly with cricket on the lawn..

The Son got the rona yesterday so he is stuck in his apartment while his partner is in a hotel trying not to get it so she can still have a holiday..
All going well they will get here for new years eve fireworks!
I told him it was piss poor organization getting sick on annual leave!

I’m the host of a camp full of very different people from all around the world. Every single one of them are full of smiles this morning, feeding treats to the Goats, Sheep, Alpacas, Cows, Peacocks and Chickens wishing each other a happy Christmas and they are enjoying us as a nation and New Zealand as a country plus their ability to do what comes naturally, explore and experience new things.

Its energising and its hopeful.

We live in the best place on earth.

Merry Christmas all. My 95 year old father in a retirement village tested positive on Monday so our Christmas is rooted. He had almost no symptoms but tested anyway because most of his Friday night happy hour mates got it. Tested negative yesterday day 5 but still not allowed out till Tuesday. Oh well, it is what it is. At least I’ve still got him and he’s in excellent health for someone his age. Enjoy the day!

  We’ve also got Covid for Xmas. Had a rushed trip yesterday morning to pick up an antiviral prescription. So far so good – seems to be working. Merry Xmas all. We will celebrate ours when we are all better.
