    Yep … it/he polled a total of 499 votes … 0.02% down from the 1.58% it/he polled in 2014. If it/he stands in 2023 it will be just another in the menagerie of parties looking to hoover up the conspiracy vote.

      Which conspiracies are you referring to? I’d genuinely like to know what they are. Ardern and her muppet supporters keep talking about them, the same as with “disinformation”, but none of them seem able to give any examples of what they actually are. Very vague.

  This may be a huge miscalculation.
  
  Early last year he lost his appeal to the supreme court and the only way extradition can stop now is for the Minister to block it. For over a year the minister has sat on his hands, not making a decsion either way. In essence allowing Kim to live in NZ. If Kim looks to steal Labour votes, and lets face it thats who he will take votes from, don’t you think the minister might suddenly spring into action and make a decision?

      As an aside. When a person falls on hard times and has 9 Children I have no problem on them being paid a much higher benefit to help them out. I am vehemently opposed to increasing benefits when people increase their family size after being on the benefit for more than 9mths (i.e. not pregnant when they fell on hard times).
      People make choices. If you are on a low wage, don’t increase your expenses and expect others to pick up the tab. If you are due for extradition and get Married (multiple times!) & have kids, don’t be surprised when you are separated from said family.

China is aggressively reselling Russian gas to Europe and Europe pretends it has no idea what’s going on. So much for the effectiveness of US sanctions. Americans and Europeans are hurting as prices for everything go up, directly impacting their wallets.

The value of wages in the EU is crashing hard. Resulting in less consumer spending. Reduced production. Higher unemployment. More money printing. More debt. Higher inflation. Recession. Depression. Times are getting really tough. EU leaders may soon be facing a modern revolution.

If the US Govt is responsible for this pandemic it would rank amongst the biggest crimes against humanity. Outsourcing bio-weapon research like “gain of function” to labs outside of US jurisdiction is how the US circumvents laws & treaties which prohibit this work inside the US?

  I agree, if he was going anywhere other than the US. They are tough on their own people but vindictive when it comes to foreigners. Consider Ghislaine Maxwell, or the way BP was harassed over Deep Water Horizon vs Exxon over many spills.

    I don’t know how many 16 or 17 year olds would be bothered to vote. But at the last election there was a marked increase in participation among the youngest group. However, historically that group has had a poor turnout compared to the rest of the population.
    
    But the odds of Dotcom’s party reaching 5% are almost nil.

Ohhhh Martyn over at TDB will be excited, according to him he was the main man last time, maybe he gets a new lap top out of it again (he says the only thing he got last time was a new laptop…nothing financial….did it all for free seemingly)
Well it should bring together all the far left Marxists/Trotskyites and socialists into one motley crew of a party to grandstand and see their policies fail again, with the main stream voters, outside of their respective echo chambers.
GOOD TIMES AHEAD….plenty popcorn will be consumed watching the slow train crash in real time.

There’s some crazy parties out there that make Herr Dotcom look almost mainstream.
Maybe he fancies himself as some sort of sensible alternative to the big parties.
(Might help his cause if figures out when the election is to be held.)

What gets me is that most people do not understand the requirements for the roles associated with a true government.

MP’s ideally need to representatives of the people who elect them – sadly they end up being forced (bullied) into representing only the party they are affiliated to (Sharma??).

They should have extensive skills in governance, finance and other specialist areas, such as health, education, and justice, with proven abilities at a high level. Persons without life skills, without experience in business, with some glorious ideal, then being put in charge with the biggest business in the nation (the nation itself), is just plain stupid.

Now we appear to be moving in the direction of star studded performers, surrounded by a huge team of PR and communications operatives. This is leading us to a total breakdown of democracy, where those who are really in control, are hidden behind these “actors”, and so are unaccountable for their actions.

Sadly the lack of performance of our recent lot has attracted those who ideally should be lobbyists for specific areas – instead they start a “party” (eg. The Outdoors Party) who really only have one focus, and lack any capability to govern the country.

Their existence only disenfranchises so many, as their votes get wasted in the party vote by not reaching the 5% each are required to attain to get into parliament.

Something needs to change.

Doesn’t NZ attract the strangest high-profile immigrants?

Remember Michael Barrymore–admittedly a good entertainer–who was granted refuge here after the case of a gay pool party-orgy that got out of control, a man found drowned at the bottom of Barrymore’s pool, reports of lines of cocaine being snorted off bare backsides, etc.

As soon as the case cooled down he buggered off back to Britain. Meanwhile, Australia gets real celebs like Michael Parkinson and Rick Stein who love their new land and are embraced by the locals.

Best we can do is a chubby German. Gott im Himmel.

Maybe he’ll team up with Hone Harawira and Mana again. That’ll take care of a goodly portion of the loopy lefties who’d vote Green or Maori Party, and draw some off the Labour Party. Probably would be enough to do the damage.
