Much has been written about the FDA’s role in accelerating the adoption of Covid-19 ‘vaccines’ (a term I apply loosely) under the guise of some sort of histrionically declared emergency. In truth most of the FDA’s heavy lifting is done by its Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC). This committee has no standing members, and the FDA can, and do appoint anyone they choose to the committee for any given meeting.

In 2021 the VRBPAC held seven meetings, generally giving several months notice of the meeting topics and offering opportunity for public submissions.

This week the FDA opaquely announced no less than 5 VRBPAC meetings for June but without formally posting these at their website, and without seeking public input. This veritable blitzkrieg of approvals sought by Big Pharma, and to be ‘reviewed’ by the committee which includes Big Pharm executives (foxes and henhouses, anyone?) includes approval to jab babies and kids with products that some countries have banned due to an unacceptable quantity and severity of adverse reactions.

However, the most significant of these June meeting is the final one which is set to have all current and future mRNA-based Covid-19 ‘vaccinations’ exempted from FDA’s approval process. Toby Rogers has more:

June 28, “Future Framework” for Covid-19 shots. This is an Extinction Level Event for the U.S. The “Future Framework” means that Pfizer and Moderna can reformulate Covid-19 shots however they wish, and the FDA will not require new clinical trial data. Instead the FDA will automatically deem any future Covid-19 formulation as “safe and effective” because it is “biologically similar” to existing Covid-19 shots on the market. If the “Future Framework” is approved, it would represent the end of any clinical trial data on Covid-19 shots, the end of any pretence of science at the FDA, and the end of America. If approved, all-cause mortality will increase for the rest of our lives as Covid-19 shots lead to an increase in heart attacks, cancer, stroke, autoimmune disorders, and a wide range of other chronic and fatal conditions.

If approved, this opens the way for Pfizer, Moderna et al to accelerate their unconstrained use of billions of humans as lab rats, with organisations like our own MedSafe typically rubber stamping anything the FDA approves. For the FDA’s part, the approach confirms their capture by, and subservience to the pharmaceutical industry when their founding purpose was instead to protect people from harm caused by those rapacious corporations.

It is my hope that the mid-terms will see emergence of a Congress with the balls to bring some of these evil-doers to account and, if necessary, burning the likes of the FDA, CDC and NIH to the ground.

      Put yourself in mike’s, and millions of others’ shoes: they believe people in authority because … well, they’re people in authority, aren’t they? It follows that we should accept their pronouncements, doesn’t it (no, that doesn’t follow at all).
      
      They’ve dutifully lined up for their two, three, four or in some cases, even more shots, which do not stop them getting Covid or passing it on (and some data even shows they may have negative immunity and thus be more susceptible to Covid to unvaccinated people). They’ve been assured of their moral and rational superiority by their deified authorities, and, again, they accept these soothing words without question. Rather than weakness, they see virtue in their obedience, despite the medical, logical and ethical case against doing what they have done showing that they have acted rashly and irrationally.
      
      For someone on KB (in fact innumerable people over the last year especially) to come along and point out in a reasoned and data-derived manner that not only have they been misled, and are still being misled, but that there may be significant as yet unmanifested future medical consequences flowing from their course of action, the inevitable response if to refuse to countenance the possibility that they have done the wrong thing, and to lash out in an abusive manner instead of reflecting deeply on the situation.
      
      I wish everyone the best, but, despite the many disadvantages I have experienced as a result of thinking for myself and remaining unvaccinated, I feel vindicated as time goes by that that was the only rational course.

  Corporations control the US government. Always have. The only exception was Trump. That’s why so much hatred against him. He was outside the system but Trump didn’t really appreciate it himself.
  
  Merica isn’t better or worse because of Pfizer etc it’s just a mere continuation. The mid terms will change nothing. It’s an illusion to think somehow the system will get better with the right people in government.

        Because from what I recall of Trump’s presidency, despite his being a very flawed, somewhat arrogant and controversial human being, he achieved a lot for the American people – including minorities, blacks, latinos & gays – and got the country moving like it hadn’t for several decades.
        Trouble is, when dealing with Trump, most people play the man instead of the ball. Even our good host DPF still claims that Trump should be in jail, despite a number of cases that he has won.
        The problem is that Trump has got into many heads that contradict their own narrative, so he’s all wrong. Check your own prejudices and then check the facts.

  I worked with a guy about forty years ago who told us the previous night night he’d been out with his mate while he attempted to collect money owing from drugs purchased.
  First wretched soul they visited wasn’t able to pay so he broke his ankles. Then he made him ring the next person so he could get the cash together.
  Then they called the Wellington Free Ambulance.

    When I was a child in Hawkes Bay, many people worked at the freezing works during the killing season, during which time (as I remember) no-one could get the dole, so if you didn’t want to work, the best thing to do was have an ‘accident’ at work so that you could get the ‘compo’ (compensation) payments, which were more than the dole.

  BY: You are right. When I drove cabs in Christchurch 100 years ago, I quickly concluded that in many respects it was like a miniature London: Fendalton (Chelsea and Belgravia) only a 15 minute drive away from Aranui and Woolston (Mile End and Plaistow)
  
  The pubs were similarly differentiated: you were happy to pick up a fare from the Grenadier (now sadly demolished) or the Oxford, much less keen on one from the King George or the Tavern Rachael (now called something else) across the road. Interesting town…I’d live there again if it wasn’t so farking cold in the winter.

Reports today of some West Papua Provincial Government student scholarships being withdrawn and students expected to return home. Indonesian Embassy said 593 students were receiving the scholarship. That is from one province.

Reasons for scholarship withdrawal given as academic and scholarship expiry dates. Have to wonder if some countries have decided it makes little sense if those they have paid a lot to educate here never come home. Especially if there is economic pressure at home. Sri Lanka, Vietnam and some others may be in a similar situation.

One of those interviewed openly said he wants to get a work visa and stay in New Zealand.

The overseas student sector has been a big earner for New Zealand. Students are reported as no longer seeing us as a sought after destination, if the work visa pathway is less available. Sector shrinks …

An excellent score for the Taxpayers’ Union; they’ve revealed NZ on Air has given $220,000 for a documentary to be made on Green MP and likely co-leader Chloe Swarbrick:

The synopsis is “a documentary exploring the personal and political life of New Zealand’s youngest MP, Chloe Swarbrick”. Quite why the taxpayer should be funding a documentary about a current politician, especially in the run-up to an election, is beyond me, and I hope the Auditor-General is asked to take a look.

Interestingly, among those listed as involved in the project is Philippa Campbell, who was also involved in the now-canned movie about Jacinda Ardern and the Christchurch mosque terrorism. Ms Campbell is married to Herald journalist Simon Wilson, known for his strong support of Labour and the Greens. It all just seems a little too comfy, although New Zealand is a small place.

Anyway, kudos to the NZTU, without whom we would never hear of things such as this. I see broadcaster Peter Williams recently joined the NZTU Board, which is an excellent appointment for an organisation that is doing excellent work on behalf of the humble, long-suffering taxpayer.

      Yea, I remember that. All parties with exception of the Maori Party (because they didn’t break the law) paid the money back and after Helen Clark couldn’t change the law despite repeated attempts, she finally repaid the money whilst still disputing the amount. Winston Peters on the other hand paid the money owing from his party to the Starship Hospital (allegedly) so it didn’t go back to Govt Coffers.
      Helen Clark was also held responsible for the Pledge Card debacle from memory but somehow was never required to repay the money AFIK.

Same folks giving the same mates jobs with the same crap performance – that’s pretty much central and local government procurement right there.
    
    Think how many projects are cost blow outs? IT? Yep, every single time. Construction? Never on cost or time. But same contractors, same consultants get every new project – previous crap performance doesn’t matter. Maybe if they’ve done exceptionally bad the might sit one cycle out on the naughty step but it’s not forever and they’ll soon be back on the gravy train in no time.
    
    And do the public ever get to know how much they are being conned out of through taxes and rates? Of course not……commercial sensitivity of course. Bollocks – there might not be cash changing hands in bribes etc but it’s just as bloody corrupt.

Here is something to make you weep. China is planning to use an EXTRA 300 million tonnes of coal in the next 12 months. That extra will produce, in less than 2 months, more CO2 than we supposedly produce in a whole year.

Next week we are going to announce heavy punitive measures to cut our CO2. We will severely damage our economy cutting production.

    If they did, they’d learn Co2 can only “insulate” the planet so much (which stops the planet becoming a frozen wasteland like mars). Beyond that point Co2 only heats the planet around 1C per doubling of Co2. Of course the “save the planet” Gaia liars upon discovering this major flaw in their propaganda fluffed the number up to 3C per doubling.
    
    Currently Co2 is 0.04% of the atmosphere. 97% of that tiny proportion of Co2 came from natural sources (IE was NOT emitted by human endeavours).

  Labour has no chance of winning Tauranga. For a start, by-elections almost always go against the government of the day, because they provide the opportunity for a protest vote with limited consequences. Secondly, Labour’s popularity is tanking and Tauranga is traditionally a National stronghold.
  
  Lastly, and most importantly, this is the only vote Tauranga residents will get this year. There’s no council or mayoral election because Nanaia Mahuta has cancelled it, and extended the term of the commissioners. Don’t underestimate how angry Tauranga residents are. My prediction is that Sam Uffindell will win a landslide majority, with ACT’s Cameron Luxton in second, and Jan Tinetti a distant third.

He thought it was a mistake when they gave him the arse card in favour of Bob Clarkson in 2005, but then they went and did it again in 2008, this time with Simon Bridges.   This would suggest a lot of local Maori are on the Maori roll and voted for Rawiri Waititi at the last election.

    I would have the opposite view to you MCos. Most of the local Tauranga Maori are on the general roll. This would be because they are recent arrivals and have no affiliation with local marae.
    They are there in Tauranga as middle class NZers who want to get ahead. Pay off the mortgage, get a good education for their kids, get a boat in the drive, have overseas holidays, that type of thing. The Maori Party definitely does not represent them or their aspirations.
    Someone may correct me if I am wrong, But I thought the Maori Party support in Waiariki came from places like Te Teko, Taneatua, Murupara, Opotiki and the like. All distinguished by high beneficiary numbers and endemic lawlessness. And their vote was a protest one against an ineffectual urban liberal who did not represent them.

  I sincerely hope they do not change. I not only want Labour to lose, but I want her to front it and to have to own it. I want to see her on election night realising she has lost. She made the last one all about her – would be nice for her to taste defeat and this being all on her. Would also be good for the rest of the world to see her as a failed PM rather than her slinking off mid-term as a latter day saint….although noticing the friendly articles offshore are starting to dry up a bit!
  
  Her popularity is crashing – if they do a change of leadership (I’d say chippie rather than grunter tbh), they might just do enough to get a hydra coalition with Labour / Greens / Maori.
  
  Labour are bad but if Greens and Maori have any real power post 2023, then we really will be on a fast track ride to New Zimbabwe / New Venezuela status.
  
  I don’t expect Luxon to drastically alter the general direction, unless ACT get a good 15 to 20 MP’s to give them a spine (which they won’t), but at this point, I’d be happy with halting the slide for a few years!

I enjoyed watching David Seymour in parliament taunting Labour over his perception they are backing off from the whole concept of cogovernance. He gave the impression that he has inside knowledge of dissention within the Labour caucus
It occurred to me that if Labour were really committed to cogovernance then their caucus decisions should not be on the basis of one MP one vote (so old fashioned) but split 50/50 the Maori MPs as a block v the rest.
Maybe that is why the Maori caucus block have so much influence and maybe the rest are starting to see what a clusterf__k it is.
It would be ironic if they decided to end their push to cogovernance by a vote.

As I headed over the Saddle Road into Tararua/Hawkes Bay yesterday morning the effects of the anticyclone were obvious.
Frosts in the Manawatu, turbines virtually motionless, even at 9.30am still the remnants of a large fog area over parts of Tararua.
The result was a need for power to provide heat, no wind, solar power late in becoming available because of later sunrise, fog and possibly not economic in the area.
Hope they didn’t have to charge the car at home to get to work.

The last one I worked for ran a global retail consumer, wholesale customer & manufacturing supply chain business in nearly 200 countries servicing over 3 billion consumers daily with less than a third of NZs public service staff number. They’ve also been in business for over 100 years.
  
  The difference is competition. The public sector is a Government monopoly.

    I worked the Ministry of Works for about four years, when there still was one.
    The first year at the Draughting Training Centre, so totally non productive. Of the people who went there almost all left the MOW and many went to work for private companies with a degree of taxpayer funded training behind them.
    In the meantime the MOW designed (& built) all sorts of major projects, but if you nut out the money spent and the man hours, not very efficiently.

  Good news indeed . I think the one factor I would like to see our resident experts discuss is the effect of National putting up candidates in the Maori seats. They will certainly get some votes and will they come from Labour or the Maori party will make a huge difference. If Maori don’t get an electorate seat they are toast . All National need do is put up some high calibre National Maori candidates , and there are quite a few names who fit that , and National can take votes from the Maori party and maybe gift Labour those seats that will however be at the expense of the bottom end of Labours list.

As I see this, Russia has a window of opportunity where they can attack Finland before they officially join Nato.

Although, I wonder how stretched Russia is with the Ukraine war, whether attacking Finland is even remotely feasible. Putin is not beyond using nuclear weapons though.
