The arrival of Jesus into the world may be a bit ho hum for some, even relegated to the world of myths and make believe but few would deny his message of love, peace, forgiveness, sacrifice and grace has impacted individuals, communities and nations and helped build an unparalleled strong culture, even civilisation alongside democracy and capitalism. We need these values now more than ever.

The pirozhki (little cabbage pies) defeated hubby & Me yesterday…the bread dough was too sticky… so Hubby said.. just make a Pirog (one big cabbage pie).

Heck, why didn’t he say that 45 years ago?

Now, to start on the trifle… but as a T.T., I never have booze on my mind..and I’ve just discovered there’s no sherry in the house…

I wonder if the whanau will notice if I substitute with vodka instead?
