How can we believe anything she says?

This week I heard a journalist ask her, and later that day the Deputy PM, why the South Island did not have a Green Traffic Light. The reply was that the Government would “transition” to the criteria on the MOH Website. Under those criteria, the South Island would be Green on Friday.

Translated, this means that the Government will make decisions on any basis it chooses.

The Government is now using the pandemic on two fronts to its advantage.

The first is asserting control.

The second is more malicious. There is now little in the news except Covid controls. People are so preoccupied and confused that little else gets airtime. And under that cover the government is inflicting serious damage through its pernicious policies. A racist health system is just one of many examples.

BTW last night I spent some time working through the three Bills that will replace the Resource Management Act. The main one is the National and Built Environments Bill.

This is the central summary…

“The NBA will also improve recognition of te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. This includes reference to Te Oranga o te Taiao in the Act’s purpose. This concept is intended to encapsulate the intergenerational importance of the health and well-being of the natural environment. Decision-makers would be required ‘to give effect to’ the principles of Te Tiriti, replacing the current RMA requirement to ‘take into account’ those principles.”

Like the health reforms, this new Act will place Maori at the centre of resource management in New Zealand. And how much debate have we seen in the media about this monumental change in law?

    I suggest that in the near future a booster jab will be required every six weeks, then every three weeks, then……..But of course you don’t really have to have the booster jabs because the expiry date of your vaccine passport (which allows you all sorts of “freedoms”) has no correlation with the date of your most recent jab. The government wants you to feel “safe”, even when you’re not.

    They never could; “they” being those that subscribe to traditional tribal (read:socialist) Maori culture.
    
    You don’t have to subscribe to any culture. Culture is a choice. Race is immaterial.
    
    But when the state subsidises a culture to the tune of billions in direct payments, special agencies and apartheid laws, culture becomes a way to make a lot of money and exercise a lot of power.
    
    Maori and Maori culture are wards of the state. They are infantalised and marginalised all while being showered with largesse. Racism increases as others not so coddled regard all Maori as beneficiaries of affirmative action. The unspoken questions arise: Did they earn that? Did they get that job on their merits? And the answers are often no.
    
    Maori crime and health problems increase as the special treatment results in lack of purpose and wasteful, unhealthy lifestyles, and a general malaise that engenders further grievances.
    
    And finally, this entire cultural mess is elevated to a position of co-governance over vast natural resources, health services and other major components of our economic and social wellbeing.
    
    And I don’t see National having any disagreement with the trajectory we’re on. In fact, over many years, they’ve been prime movers of it.

  I have not seen ANY of the MSM bring this up and raise questions on it. In light of the increasing restrictions and limitations being placed on those who have chosen to opt-out – including in many cases being told that they will lose their job – why has nobody gone back to Miss Ardern and quizzed her on this?
  
  Far from not facing any penalties, those people who have chosen to opt-out are being very harshly penalised and treated as social pariahs. For someone whose trademark has been “Be Kind”, why does nobody ask her where the kindness is for these people?

  I am interested in understanding how it is that government can interpret vii as being compatible with such concepts as vaccine passports and other measures that discriminate against those who choose to exercise their rights under clause 11 of the 1990 act.”

  “As the issue you have raised falls within the portfolio responsibilities of the Minister for COVID – 19 Response , Hon Chris Hipkins , your email has been forwarded to the Minister’s office for consideration.”

        Not as far as I know Spoff. I’d have to pan about a bit. However, one sort of leads to the other, so I’d imagine the outcome would be similar. Neither of these results prevents the argument from being reframed and re-argued. What I found funny, was that Justice Mathew Palmer is Sir Geoffrey Palmer’s son. You know, Geoff Palmer, the architect of the Constitution Act and the Bill of Rights Act. Bet old Geoff didn’t see his son coming!

Last week on Rubbish PM, Auckland was still at level 2. Then Judith Collins, pressed the self- destruct button in response to a leadership challenge from Simon Bridges. Now, Chris Luxon is the leader of the National Party. [David Seymour is still leader of the Opposition.] If Todd Meuller fronts Chris Luxon’s first presser, will anyone notice? Chris Luxon left Labour Airlines [Air New Zealand] before the CCP virus struck. Will his luck hold?
There’s no news yet about the wedding of the millennium. If Jacinda Ardern was Jacinda Gayford in 2017, would Winston Peters have selected her? He has surfaced again recently. Does New Zealand need him like it needs omicron to evolve into Ebola?
St Ashley wanted to move Auckland to Level 1 in September. Will Pravda 2.0 ask [Deleted – Mod] why she chose not to? Now there is a traffic light system, and omicron, the government is pumping the fear button like a hooker giving a hand job. Does the advent of omicrom mean we are all unvaxed now? Is it apartheid time for everyone? Is the ‘team of 5 million ‘ lead by 20 clowns? Many of the ‘red’ areas outside Auckland have high Maori populations. Does that make the traffic light system ‘raycist’? Will the traffic light system become a rainbow crossing?
Will recent issues in the electricity sector make Minister Wood spit out her meat pie?

Iwi want the Rhythm and Vines event cancelled. Under 40s love it. Which constituency will [Deleted – Mod] side with? If omicron is the last Covid variant, what will [Deleted – Mod] have left?
If the unvaxed are excluded from society, can [Deleted – Mod} still blame them for the next outbreak? But wait a minute. Isn’t everyone unvaxed now?
As Three Waters becomes policy; will the brotocracy buy new Ford Rangers? or will they think of Gaia, and buy Teslas instead? Will the climate goblin have something to say about it? Confused? You will be. Stay tuned folks?

Happy Clappy Luxon thinks he can do deals with Marxist woke scum who infest parliament and NZ society. They hate everything about Luxon and the people who vote / support National etc. The very idea of reward for hard individual work which Luxon claims to represent disgusts them.

For eg. Luxon thinks he can raise all economic boats, how is going to manage that when the Marxist are forcing climate fraud down his throat? Climate fraud is specially designed to lower living standards. Is Happy-Clappy going to say fuck your climate fraud, NZ has no influence on global temperatures regardless, or is going to attempt “to reach across the aisle” and make a deal with the Marxist fraudsters and globalist grifters?

Everyone knows the answer to that. Happy-Clappy will not shrink the shit weight that is the NZ State nor will he fight the marxist scum.

Luxon and National are a waste of space in a MMP parliament. They should just fold now.

The biggest reason that I think we might be underestimating Mr Luxon is his “They are good at talking stuff, we are good at doing stuff” mantra.

Lefties are very good at dictating what the debate should be about, generally, but this reverses that. If he keeps saying Jacinda is a talker, not a doer, then she will be forced to defend that – and it’s very hard to constantly defend a poor track record.

Simply put, he will be throwing the wet sponges and she will be trying to dodge them. And she doesn’t do that very well. A defensive Jacinda is a rattled and obfuscatory Jacinda.

  Yeah he does seem to have a tactic along those lines. I have to admit, after watching his interview this morning I am feeling a lot more positive (or less negative) about him and the Nats. He is coming across as saying all the ‘right’ things to the ‘right’ people, just hope that when it comes to it and they have power they actually do something useful and get rid of a lot of the sh*t going though this term.

    A friend who works for Whanganui District Council confirms that. The PM decamped to the council Labour safe-house when she had to flag a visit because of a protest a few weeks ago, and once the media cameras had been turned off, her annoyance was said to be quite vocal.

    I’ve got a relative on the “inside” who tells me Jacinda is far from nice when the cameras aren’t there. I asked why more of this isn’t leaking out of the building’s seams, and the answer essentially was that those who might be inclined to spill won’t because they’re mostly concerned with preserving their public service green cards and waiting patiently for regime change. In the meantime the kindness bullshit continues.

  The most salient political fact is that it is the left who set the terms of and frame the entire debate, particularly on social matters. The (nominal) opposition has already lost at this point. For any real change to occur, they need to articulate a distinct alternative framework, which is difficult when they are in effect all but identical to the left.

Asked to nominate his KPI, he said winning the 2023 general election.
Will he resign if that doesn’t happen?
He replied that he preferred to focus on the here and now and turning around National’s fortunes. “I’m here for a long time.”

Just as Maori words are now dropped into English reports to mystify non-Maori, where is any duty to explain terms like ‘KPI’ for Maori who may need it – like, perhaps, tohu mahi matua ?

And what do those fully fluent in Maori, currently think of particularly TV-1’s News cultural appropriations, now that they have become more automatic and glib? – although non-Maori front persons using Maori to address or farewell non-Maori reporters (especially international ones) in live cross seems dead stupid and still grates (somewhat for some, destroying the item’s content or impact), as does Saville’s full enchilada grate – “Nau mai ki ngā hākinakina o te wā” – when female sports reporters seem to only say “miHi to the iwi”?

And someone should still point out to Simon Dallow that (it seems) no Maori syllable ends in a consonant and ‘q’ is not in the English alphabet that Maori use.
Of course it appears Maori use of the English alphabet is for non-Maori benefit because, before others arrived, Maori communication (apart from carved or woven imagery and the like) was oral – and therefore there may be little future in a campaign to charge Mari for the use of the English alphabet – and double royalty for ‘wh’ instead of just ‘f’ – ‘wh’ or ‘f’ it.

  Yvette, the advice I have heard given to non-Maori speakers is that when you hear a Maori word or phrase you do not understand, it is your duty to remember it until you can get to a computer, then correctly spell it out so that the computer can translate it for you. (Of course, it would be unforgivably rude of you to ask the speaker to translate.)
  
  Fortunately, KPI is easy to both remember and spell and those who don’t know it won’t have to find a translator site first to discover its meaning.

    Macrons are a recent addition. You will find that maoris often make stuff up as they go along. They’ve recently acquired a long tradition of Antarctic exploration, for example.

If the New Zealand economy is trucking along as strongly as Grant Robertson suggests, why are more businesses closing than opening?

The number of business closures has exceeded the creation of new firms for the first time in nearly a decade.

Data from Stats NZ and the not-for-profit organisation, The Facts, showed 64,809 firms closed their doors in the year ended February, while 64,488 firms were created, resulting in a net decline of 321 firms – the first since 2012.

Small business consultant and co-founder of The Facts, Geoff Neal, said the sharp increase in closures can only be explained by the pandemic, and the associated lockdowns and travel restrictions.

“There’s a very consistent trend that there’s about 60,000 businesses created per year and about 50,000 close, and this has really bucked the trend of previous years.”

Neal said the data did not specify reasons for closures but it appeared the level of exit sales and owners retiring had remained consistent with prior years.

Closures were most prominent in those sectors most affected by the pandemic, including hospitality, tourism, event, wholesale trade and fitness sectors, he said.

My wife and I own several businesses, all under the umbrella of a management company. We’ve been in business for 18 years, and without doubt, this year has been the toughest of those 18 years. At this stage we’re keeping our head above water, but every day brings new challenges.

Clearly though, many other business owners have a different story to tell; 64,809 in the year to February 2021 alone. If, like us, they’ve put all their savings and maxed out the mortgage to stay afloat, they face a very uncertain future.

And how many more businesses are teetering on the brink, praying for a bumper Christmas to at least put a few dollars in the till to pay the bills, and to pay the staff. But what happens after Christmas, and the end of the holidays? February is going to be the next choke point, and anyone who believes that international tourists will flock back to New Zealand after 30 April, then spend their first week self-isolating, I have a bridge for sale.

Times are tough, and lots of businesses aren’t going to make it. For a nation of small businesses, that’s very sobering news.

  Sadly the number closing is almost certainly on the low side. Many businesses are open only to help their workers with the business subsidies. I live in a tourist area, people were not making a fortune before COVID and it’s unlikely tourism will return in the near future.

    I really feel for the hospitality sector. When they reopen on Friday, they have three weeks to try and make up four months of trade before Auckland closes down and everyone leaves town for their holidays. Sadly, lots of businesses won’t make it.

I don’t think there were many here that said Ardern didn’t have a tough gig, initially, she was damned if she did, damned if she didn’t. But as time wore on, the hand outs kept coming, the borrowing increased and tid bits of info came out as to where some of the borrowing was going, and more information was becoming available, many started asking questions. And I think you’d find, if you looked, that a good few here started saying that CoVid was never going to be eliminated and another strategy was going to have to be undertaken. Even her original strategy was found to be wanting.Firstly, Ardern could have gone hard and early. She went soft and late. Secondly, she could have sorted out the health system resourcing. She didn’t and still hasn’t. She could have ensured that vaccinations were sorted in good time, they STILL haven’t been, and it’s because of sheer incompetence. It wasn’t until well into the Delta phase that she decided that elimination wouldn’t work, and she started changing her messaging. My 18 year old daughter had been saying same for months prior. And I don’t believe for a minute your friends were previously National voters. They have to be Woman’s Weekly readers and lifetime Labour supporters. You finish your post with “they see and understand” and for an Ardern supporter, that’s an oxymoron.

WHY are hospitals so bound and determined not to administer ivermectin? In the U.S a judge had to order that a dying man from Hong Kong allowed to be given it after the hospital originally refused. Yes, it had to go to court.

Sun Ng, a retired contractor from Hong Kong, traveled to Illinois to celebrate his only granddaughter’s first birthday. He got covid and was near death in a Chicago-area hospital. All other options were exhausted, but the hospital refused to give Mr. Ng a generic, FDA-approved drug with an extraordinary safety record that a doctor believed could safe his life.

Finally, a judge asked the right question about ivermectin.

“What’s the downside?”

Put another way: If a man is dying of covid in an ICU and all else has been tried, why not order a hospital to give a safe, last-ditch drug?

Edward Hospital, located near Chicago, offered three arguments as to why Sun Ng, seventy-one, should not be given ivermectin:

▪ There could be side effects.

▪ Ordering ivermectin would violate its policies.

▪ Forcing the issue would be “extraordinary” judicial overreach.

On each argument, DuPage County Circuit Court Judge Paul Fullerton firmly disagreed.

“I can’t think of a more extraordinary situation than when we are talking about a man’s life,” he said in a November 5 decision that is a model of rational decision-making in an irrational era.

  Ivermectin appears to be least effective when given late in the disease progression, most benefit is from early or prophylactic use (it’s an antiviral that slows rate of virus increase, and viral ‘load’ in your body reaches maximum within a few days of infection after which antivirals can’t do much as the body labours to rid itself of the viral load). Big Pharma has lead a very effective campaign against it’s use through ‘editorial support’ of media (ie propagandizing on their behalf), patronage of politicians and deep reach into and control of medical establishment. Vaccines provide 10’s of billions of reasons as to why they did this.

    Ivermectin does more than that. For instance it alters the site on the spike protein that allows it to attach to the ACE2 receptor, it also blocks the ACE2 receptor and it has a profound anti inflammatory effect which is needed to halt the cytokine cascade.

  There are a number of questions screaming to be asked that nobody in NZ is permitted to ask publicly.
  
  Why is Ivermectin banned?
  
  Why is HCQ banned?
  
  Why were antibody tests banned?
  
  How can a vax certificate last from date of issue rather than date of jab?
  
  How can you issue a vax certificate allowing people to gather in large groups when the vax doesn’t stop you catching or spreading covid?
  
  How can you marginalise, punish and abuse a group of NZ citizens who choose to exercise their right to refuse any medical procedure?
  
  None of these questions are answerable in any logical or rational manner which is why they aren’t permitted to be asked and the mainstream media are so much in Ardern’s pockets they will bury their heads in the sand. They will be remembered long after this is over.

    I listened to him occasionally, a couple of years ago, to see what he was like, and found him to be dreadfully unprofessional. He gave the impression of doing virtually no preparation for his radio shows, often being completely ignorant of important stories that had occurred during the day. There were long pauses, ummms and clicking of the tongue as he tried to think of something to say or look for inspiration. I simply couldn’t cope with the unprofessional attitude and gave up listening.

Well I’m double jabbed but am living my life as an unjabbed when possible. I will not go to places were I’m required to show my medical status before getting a coffee and muffin. I will miss the gym and the cinema but I’ve invested in a home gym last week which I should have done months ago. I’ve entered a pub and restraunt for the last time. But I’m proud of my decision and will practice what I preach. Hopefully more will do the same and hopefully there may be premises and businesses for the unclean.

I’m guessing red light will stay for a year in Auckland to stop unclean businesses.

      A reduction of 10 or 20% in total customers will see many of them closed for good.

        I’m deeply saddened by what has happened to free NZ. I’m willing to avoid (whenever possible) support any hospitality business (dine in or delivery) until this divisive Ardern mandate none-sense is repealed. To be honest, I’ll probably need the saved cash to pay for increasing costs of weekly shopping and fuels. Thanks “business is booming Robbo” (yes it is…..in China!)

  I agree and am doing the same, mostly. I don’t like the medical requirement but what I really don’t like is the requirement to present identification. I’ll probably use the pass in situations where there was going to be an electronic record of my identity in any case.
  
  What we really need is a public website where anyone can upload their vaccine certificate along with their sex and year of birth. Then anyone who wants a certificate can just pick a suitable one and download. That would restore some freedom and maybe in the best case render the system completely useless.

    While I have some sympathy with sharing certificates, in practice it will be fraught with dangers. For a start, many businesses/organisations are installing scanners on their phones, and they get a readout of the cert. holders details. If they don’t match, there will be trouble. Impersonating another person is also illegal, and for good reason. I’m not sure that perpetrating a wrong to oppose another wrong is a good move.

      The scanner will display the same name that is on the certificate so this will work unless they insist on sighting a separate photo ID. At that point you just say you don’t have one and leave.

There is not a QR code. Of course the law states the passports only have to be “sighted”, so will this be cause for arguments with those “checking”?

  Your desire to punish the business is misplaced. Unfortunately for my family and me we own businesses that sell food and coffee. I had no intention of participating in a system that required me to get the vaccine. I have no interest in discriminating against my customers and staff based on vaccine status. Recruiting, training and retaining staff is hard work and expensive. Retaining our valuable customers is the backbone of our business. I was preparing to close our dining areas so that we could continue to serve all comers in a take away only capacity. That was until Friday when the scope of requirements became slightly clearer. For our business to trade under orange or red in any capacity other than contactless requires participation in the traffic light scheme. All staff are required to be vaccinated whether we participate or not. To trade contactless only means the total loss of my life’s work and the jobs of 40 staff. We will be gratefully accepting on line orders from those without passports. None of this is ideal. None of this is a choice. This is a matter of survival under a brutal authoritarian government.

    In regards to the gym. Jetts under red light is like level 2. It actually makes working out difficult and very busy. Many people I talked to said training at level 2 was hard and a waste of money. So if you can alternative training going forward is best. But many need the weights and dumbells etc.

Luxon was given some rapid fire questions on Hosking this morning, and he did well & I think he should be given a chance.
Mike asked him if he was woke, and then asked about iwi road blocks, he puapua, 3 waters, are we tough enough on gangs…etc.
Road blocks – he called them something like nuts, and unacceptable. He puapua, divisive and we are meant to be one people. Support people based on needs, not race. 3 waters – repeal.
Luxon responded immediately on this points and didnt mince words, or dither, or waffle.
Short and to the point.
Mike afterwards played a recording of Ardern on iwi road blocks, and it was a long winded “I trust the police, we will work with….blah blah”.
The contrast between Labour ministers on such topics was stark.
Politicians either seem like deer in headlights, or just repeating glib platitudes on contentious issues whereas Luxon responded with brief and very clear positions.

The shorter the better with these things, since the media only selects a sentence from a speech.
Brief, to the point, and clear.

His comments on government performance were also spoken like someone who really can take the lead and insist on solutions, and tracking and genuinely wanting to performance manage.
Sounding like……a proffesional, with a degree of understanding on how to get things done.
i.e. far from the lot we have running us at the moment.

The actual rules that take effect on Friday were enacted yesterday, in the form of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Protection Framework) Order 2021.
The order sets out a number of rules, and has amongst its 8 schedules, 3 schedules which specify which of the rules in the body of the order apply at each level, whether it be red, orange or green. For example, schedule 6 (orange) specifies that clause 47 (which allows fixed capacity gatherings) applies, but schedule 7 (red) does not specify that clause.
Part 8 contains clauses relating to business closure. Section 63 states that all business must close. Sections 65 provides that category 1 businesses may open, and section provides that category 1 and 2 businesses may open.
Now for the tell.
None of the existing schedules for red, orange, or green reference clauses 65->67.
Further, the existing schedules for red and orange contain clauses that effectively define the areas of New Zealand they relate to. They are not generic. The conclusion must therefore be that the rules relating to a particular area are not fixed, and may become more restrictive. They have been designed so that in the future, rules for red may provide that all business must close, rules for orange provide that some businesses may open, and rules for green provide that more businesses may open.
So much for certainty.

Banks and credit unions
Retail and clothing stores
Public libraries, museums and art galleries
Does not include events hosted in these venues
Food banks and shelters
Escape rooms, laser tag, indoor paint ball and arcades
Only if they are unlicensed or don’t offer food-related table service
Post-secondary on-campus cafeterias
Airport food courts and restaurants
Health care services, rehabilitation or exercise therapy programs, and drug and alcohol support group meetings
Social services provided to people in need
Events like:
Worship services
Indoor youth recreational sport for people 21 years old or younger
Before and after school programs for K to 12 students

Very impressed with Luxon yesterday with his speech and answering of questions. What a relief to have someone who’s actually done something and has a track record in the commercial world. If he comes with Key and Joyce, in the background, that would be even better and they may get my vote next time. The only policy I didn’t like of Key’s was the open immigration policy he had and it’s effects on Auckland.

One of the tough challenges Luxon will have is combatting the media bias, which has already started with the articles about him on the Ferald, opened up for comment, and not behind the paywall. That’s a deliberate act on the Ferald’s editor’s part as part of the covid relief fund deal.

Also the maori situation is almost insurmountable for any party. Ardern already threw a ‘no questions asked’ another $120m at their low vaccination rate problem. The maori and gang problems are a huge handbrake on NZ going forward and no amount of money thrown at the problem will be enough.

Anyway a good start and a relief to see an adult in charge of the National party again. Luxon’s confidence and ability to think on his feet on Hosking’s show was such a contrast to Hipkins blithering and blundering delivery this morning. Of course the attacks will be all personalised from Ardern and co. That’s all they know. Playing the man, not the ball. Nash is a prime example of this. What an idiot that guy is.

The Human Rights Act does not define ‘political opinion’. However, New Zealand courts have interpreted it to primarily apply to party political matters. As such the definition is unlikely to extend to someone’s personal preferences or views on vaccinations.
Someone who holds a religious belief that prevents them from being vaccinated may be able to object on religious grounds. Generally, someone making a claim on religious grounds would need to show their belief is sincere and connected to an established religion, rather than a personally held belief.

What the hell happened to individual rights, that they now need a political party context, or relevance to the accreditation of an established religion?

For example (and excuse me if it is a doubtful example): there is Brian Tamaki, self appointed (it is said) Bishop and Apostle, but having made statements (after mis-reading the Bible books of Genesis and Exodus) linking the cause of the Kaikoura Earthquake to the sexual behaviour of two named Christchurch individuals (tectonic plate and God’s aim a bit off-piste), but since has recanted that proclamation (Brian himself a bit off-piste), he is presumably “connected to an established religion”, but that would seem to be a religious entity that Brian himself controls, thereby presenting an interesting circumstance for the Human Rights persons to contemplate – and a point his defence may soon also need to contemplate.

So how worthy is an individual’s rights connected to an established religion?
Conversely (and off the wall), are Muslims in New Zealand a religious minority when they follow Islam, second largest world wide religion?

Greece will start charging in Jan €100 per month to over 60’s who don’t get vacc’d and Austria looking to charge up to €7200 if people keep refusing the jab. This makes me feel sick especially as once one or 2 do the rest of the dictators in Europe will follow.

Shouldn’t vaccine passports be a matter for the people to decide? Advocates will say labour’s majority makes it legit. So if Labour wanted to make having a garden illegal it’s ok because of Parliamentary majority?

I said this to a work colleague who said “come on dude banning Gardens is an abuse of your rights they would not do it”. I was stunned!! Surely if society is forced to have a papers please society it should go to an election or referendum.

Same guy said come on dude you can’t get into a pub without I. D or drive a car unlicensed. Honestly those things don’t stop me from participating in society. But the vaccine certificate does.

Has Hone Harawira or anyone in Govt asked themselves if it just may be more imperative, that visitors not be positive to covid than simply double vaccinated, if he feels threatened?
Is he quite happy for double vaxxed visitors who have covid to visit, but not unvaxxed who don’t have covid.
The premise that the vaccine is a golden chalice is blinding their thinking. Wake up – it does not stop you from catching or spreading the virus so segregation based on vaccine status if flawed.
The truth is that the initial Alpha strain was deadly, Delta not so much and the vaccine was designed to stop Alpha so is now redundant.
Time for some critical thinking, not group think.
As an aside, how obvious has it become that all media have been instructed to view all issues through a maori lens, or they will have funding cut.

Imagine PM may wish to exit “gracefully” before the next election … after all imagine the election debates, both Chris and Nicola’s calm and hard facts (on labour’s scattered performance) will be sheeted home to the person at the top, the PM!

I had our ‘Show-Me-Yours-I’ll-Show-You-Mine’ luncheon organised with the girls from Tennis on Friday. Now I just hear on the news, that Auckland Council has AGAIN delayed releasing our new CV’s till next March!!

Honestly, that Phil Goff and his bunch of clowns only have ONE job. They’ve been promising us for months that the long awaited valuations would be out by Dec 1st.

I’ve already txt the girls to let then know the lunch is still on anyway. I’m just a bit piss*d off, that’s all.

Some people have been filing FIO’s around the world with labs with request to show proof of the isolation of the SARS-COV-2 virus. SO far, nobody from anywhere in the world has been able to provide proof that an unadulterated sample has actually been isolated.

A colleague in New Zealand (Michael S.) and I (CM) have been submitting Freedom of Information requests to institutions in various countries seeking records that describe the isolation of a SARS-COV-2 virus from any unadulterated sample taken from a diseased patient.

Our requests have not been limited to records of isolation performed by the respective institution, or limited to records authored by the respective institution, rather they were open to any records describing “COVID-19 virus” (aka “SARS-COV-2”) isolation/purification performed by anyone, ever, anywhere on the planet.

Thus far (May 7, 2021) 20 Canadian institutions have provided their responses: Public Health Agency of Canada, Health Canada, the National Research Council of Canada, Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization-International Vaccine Centre (VIDO-InterVac), Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, Ontario Ministry of Health, Institut National de Sante Publique du Quebec, British Columbia’s Provincial Health Services Authority (2 responses, 1 re “SARS-COV-2, 1 re “the UK variant”), Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (re “the UK variant”), Newfoundland Labrador Department of Health & Community Services, McGill University, the City of Toronto, the Region of Peel (Ontario), KFL&A Public Health (Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, Ontario, re “any variant”), Grey Bruce Health Services, the University of Toronto, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, McMaster University and Mount Sinai Hospital (Toronto) (note that researchers from the last 4 institutions had publicly claimed to have “isolated the virus”, as had VIDO-Intervac).

Every institution has failed to provide even 1 record describing the isolation aka purification of any “COVID-19 virus” directly from a patient sample that was not first adulterated with other sources of genetic material. (Those other sources are typically monkey kidney aka “Vero” cells and fetal bovine serum).

He said trials being carried out in Teeside are proving untrue that it was not possible to safely pump hydrogen through the existing gas network.
Homeowners were provided with 5000 pound grants to install electric heat pumps but the government deferred any decision on hydrogen’s role until 2026.

It seems like no one knows what is happening come Friday. I have been asking at places I have been to whether they will require people to show their papers on entry.
Post office – no
Library – no
Farmers – no
Physio – waiting from advice from the ministry of health, which then goes to physio nz who then will make a call on it.
It appears then it will only be restaurants and a haircut that will require a pass.

Watch the mandates increase once she realises the unvaccinated arent being restricted enough!

Common theme from all the staff I spoke to was – we have no idea what’s happening, it’s all been rushed and makes no sense. We just want to get out of these masks, especially over summer!

Sounds like the fuehrers silly rules are wearing thin on a lot of people…

  oh no, its much worse. We can have retail which frankly, i have no interest in. Physio is out (my physio at least), most dentists are out (by choice), DOC campsites are out, freedom camping in Gisborne is out, council pools, libraries etc are out (who cares). But worst of all are the petty zealots like my hiking group who don’t want unclean people along, the NZMCA who are still deciding whether to allow the unclean, open homes are out as are auctions. Later today the Government will probably announce the vaccine programme for 5 – 11 year olds.

It will be interesting to see the uptake.

The problem is that there will almost certainly be restrictions on where you can take unvaccinated 5 year olds.

For those of you with children or gran children in that age group, do you think they will be vaccinated? I’m sceptical of the benefits.

BTW vaccines for 6 months + age group is almost certainly going to be approved in the USA in March 2022, so expect that to be rolled out here by May 🙁

So vaccine certs are a workplace health and safety issue? So does osh police bars that play music above 93 decibels for long periods causing hearing loss to staff and patrons?     To the contrary, CAKE has always thought that Cindy is a fake, a fraud, and an imposter. She is an awful communicator – except with regards to Covid.
    
    Cindy has been successful in stoking an extraordinary fear of the flu, so such an extent that I would not have thought possible.
    
    Her secret to her fear mongering success on Covid is her anxiety disorders. Her mental illness means that she feels huge irrational fear, which she then immediately mongers to the people. She gives in to her irrational fears, and in so doing she becomes credible with the masses. This has been a huge advantage for her popularity, and a massive disaster for the country.
    
    Cindy has convinced the masses that she’s not a fake, because her fear is real, at least in her unwell mind. On all other issues, she is generally lying, so isn’t convincing at all.

I finally watched through the Peter Jackson treatment of the Beatles creating their most ordinary LP, in my opinion.
It’s a bit like trudging through a museum or watching very extending highlights, as I did once, of an historic cricket test.
At the end is the rooftop concert which is worth the effort.
Afterwards the band is squashed into a room with the partners listening to replays.
The camera goes around the room and so many have died in the interim; John Lennon, George Harrison, Linda Eastman, Maureen Starkey, Mal Evans, George Martin, Billy Preston, Neil Aspinall . . . .
Most were only in their twenties back then.

  Lennon seemed to take great joy in spoiling any song Paul was leading.
  Yoko’s screaming into the mike – WTF ?
  Poor old Ringo looked exhausted by it all.
  George wanted out but actually seemed to enjoy the creative bits.
  George Martin looks as though he wanted to be somewhere…anywhere else.
  Always thought it was sad they broke up. This doco cured me of that.

Something about learner drivers being required to have a vaccine pass in order to take a driver’s test.

Will the Arden government require the same for us oldies that will be required to take the driver’s test because of our age?

Tomorrow will be the last day that this 74 year old unvaccinated person can go scuba diving on a dive boat because of the traffic light system.

I have not always liked the government of the day but this is the first time in 27 years that I actually hate the government of the day.

I will do anything legal to try to replace this disgusting incompetent Labour government.

I received an email this afternoon from Auckland Libraries confirming that the vaccination passport sighting requirement will start from Friday when Auckland sees Red under the traffic light system.

I am angered, of course, that I will be refused entry and be unable to browse the shelves – it will be like an earlier level where one can request online and pick up ‘contactless’ at the entrance (except of course the librarian takes my card (and maybe paper printout I’ve supplied to expedite) and returns with it and the book or books ordered) – but it’s just another burning piece of coal added to the anger already banked up and burning slowly.

It reminds me of the Jewish restrictions… libraries aren’t mentioned here, but other places similar:

We’ve enjoyed reconnecting with you since we reopened and want to let you know about some changes as we adjust our services in line with the new COVID-19 Protection Framework.

The health and safety of our staff and customers is our top priority and we need to continue to do all we can to keep customers and our staff safe while in our libraries. To do this we are introducing our interim vaccination approach from Friday 3 December when Auckland / Tāmaki Makaurau moves to the Red setting of the COVID-19 Protection Framework.

Do I need a vaccination pass to come into a library?

Yes. 

We will be providing services to everyone but to come inside our libraries vaccination passes will be required for anyone aged 12 years 3 months and over, unless they have a medical exemption approved by the Ministry of Health. 

We have reached this decision because once people are in our libraries, despite measures in place to help reduce any potential spread by use of mask wearing and physical distancing, we cannot prevent contact with other visitors and staff.

We are particularly mindful of helping protect the health and safety of our most vulnerable communities, of customers who cannot be vaccinated due to medical exemptions, and those under 12 years of age.

We will have staff and signage on site to remind you to have your vaccine pass ready to present to the team each time you visit.

Thanks for your understanding and kindness in advance.
