  It is interesting to note that the appearance of Maori when “displaying” bears very little resemblance to historical photographs of the days they would have us believe they are acting out.
  In fact, I accept Tin Tin’s image is an accurate portrayal, not a parody.
  Foe those that disbelieve me, some Googling and the first observation will be that the obesity and nudity constantly being thrust in front of us was absent from the 1800’s.
  But Hey, Maori have fantasised so much and PC has rewritten history to support this fantasy that it is becoming the norm and no doubt, unless stopped DEAD in its tracks the Government will concrete the Maori fantasy into an expurgated mythical history to be taught in NZ schools.

    Uhhh don’t you think it would be more likely that the Victorians would have insisted on Maori dressing more modestly during photographs that took almost an hour to take?

      Nope. The Victorian had no problems with Aboriginals appearing in their customary “dress,” in fact it was generally the requirement.
      As for an hour to photograph, again Nope unless you include the time for collecting, organising, posing and the actual exposure time.; be it either by the wet plate collodion or dry plate gelatin process’s which at most would be minutes(exposures) not an hour.
