Recent political shenanigans are proof of the existence of a new chemical element.

My research division is today announcing the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science

The new element has been named Labium. Labium (Lb) has one neutron, 1 assistant neutron, 61 deputy neutrons, and 232 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 295.

These 295 particles are held together by forces called morons.

Since Labium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of Labium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take over three hours to complete.

Labium has a normal half-life of about three years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a transformation in which a portion of the neutron, assistant neutron and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Labium’s mass will actually increase over time, since each retransformation will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.

This characteristic of moron promotion leads me to believe that Labium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as CoLCrux. When catalyzed with money, the CoLCrux radiates just as much energy as Labium since it has twice as many morons.

  You forgot to mention labium major and Labium minor. These make up the major part of this new element. They give rise to the newly discovered disease of cuntitis. This is found when too much labium is found congregating in one place.

  You forgot the one Procon (derived from a symbiotic reaction with the element Winstonium which of course has never been isolated as a factual substance).

        We have witnessed an isodope of Labium which displays similar characteristics. Unfortunately, like most other atoms, it contains a proton.
        
        We hope that we are able to neutralise the proton, which would lead to an entirely unique atomic structure.

      Thanks for asking. The meeting was by phone and I was not cut short. I told him I was an older conservative and that is why I voted NZF. I also said that Amy Adams being a liberal would not give voters much choice. Instead of trying to defend Adams he asked me what I though of the other four. I also briefly discussed Seymour’s bill.
      
      A electorate MP is a representative. He or she is meant to listen to his constituents and take their views on board. He did that and he will get my electorate vote. National will also get my party if Adams is not leader.
      
      NZ is a democracy. People can vote for a candidate of party for whatever reason(s) they like.

I won’t vote for Amy Adams because she is a progressive, so instead, I’ll vote for conservative Winston Peters again, which is doing my bit to ensure that, if Peters gets to decide again, we will inevitably have an even more progressive PM in…Jacinda Ardern. 😉

        Well, the funniest thing is that on planet chuckie, the poisoned dwarf led a blameless life of public service true to his word and without a whiff of scandal or misbehaviour. That is of course, until he completely blind-sided chuckie post-election. Now chuckie has the big hate on and is offering his political advice to the Nats.         What about their policies and the dubious reputation of their leader?

        Kimbo, Honesty is relative and relative to you Peters is honest. I told Tim van de Molen that if Adams was leader I would probably vote for the Conservative Party which is polling about the same as ACT.
        
        I also told him that I was very unhappy with Adams paying a cool million to someone on the balance of probabilities is one of the countries worse mass killers so as not to lose votes to the David Bain fan club.
        
        I would like to see you try and heckle Shane Jones at a public meeting. You would not have the balls or the wit.

        Nah, I’ll just settle for mentioning that neither David Bain nor Team Bain were paid compensation for his time in prison. Rather they received payment for the legal costs they incurred trying to overturn Judith Collin’s decision to get a second opinion and then reject Binnie’s report, a report that was originally commissioned by another Minister of Justice, Simon Power. So by the government’s own admission, the recommendation process they set up was flawed, and it is a matter of natural justice that anyone trying to work for compensation within that flawed process…deserves some reimbursement of costs.
        
        But maybe Chuck’s head would explode if that ever occurred to him. Then again, as per his new-found rejection of Winston Peters which has seen his previous cheer leading and shilling disappear down the memory worm hole, Chuck seems to do “denial to cope with cognitive dissonance” very well! 😉

      The justice system doesn’t work unless lawyers defend their clients to the utmost of their ability, and with every legal avenue open to them. Is sure what I would want a lawyer of mine to do if I needed one. Also, in many cases they are appointed by the courts.

      The kid’s home life was appalling, with his dad in and out of prison, and his mum a loser of epic child-harming proportions. The time this kid spent in a young person’s justice system institution awaiting trial was the best and most structure he ever had in his life, and there were positive results. It was also a crime of stupid impulse, the stabbing at any rate, not the robbery.
      
      I know a family lost a husband and dad, and I would never say that their sense of injustice is wrong. But maybe, just maybe the one good thing that will come out of this is that this young thug, a product of his upbringing, takes the one chance to turn his life around.

        Everyone here is right actually. Yes, he can turn his life around, become a better person, be given some responsibilities and work.
        
        But only in some kind of prison or other safe environment. I strongly believe no murderer or rapist should *ever* be allowed another chance to commit crimes again.
        
        The fact that a percentage of them can be reformed tells me one thing only: too many get out and commit violent crimes again.

        On balance I agree in principle, but a judge must have some discretion. And in the case that Johnboy raised, he was not an adult, but a 14 year old kid who was making tangible progress in a different environment away from his toxic family. And he was not freed, but placed within the youth justice system. For those reasons, or at least from what has been reported, there were some good reasons not to throw him on the life sentence scrap heap.

  As noted by the Court of Appeals, it didnt really matter if the motive was racism or the officers being overly zealous. The fact was that the knife wasnt sufficient grounds, as they should have made enquiries as to why he had it. The racism charge was just bollocks and the matter really was procedural. This is what such a pomped up article really comes down too.

  Anyone with half a brain knows that cops pick up a 6th sense about people that relates to their observation of body language.
  
  When someone is doing something illegal (stealing a car, dealing drugs, or breaking into a house) the sudden appearance of a Police Officer causes an uncontrollable reaction by the guilty party. (Flight or fight, adrenaline dump etc.)
  
  An observant cop may not know what the scrote is doing but he/she sure as heck knows that its something dodgy and needs closer investigation.
  
  Skin colour is irrelevant as there are just as many white drug dealers as there are brown.

      Churchill left the Tories as he saw the liberals as more progressive on free trade and labour law reform. He returned to the Tories once they had adopted those platforms (amongst other reasons). Churchill was considered as a Progressive for the time .         I am on the right of politics but I can still recognise the contribution of the Labour movement of the 20’s to 50s as important and principled politicians whose reforms of the times still ensure today. I see that top Criminal Bar Lawyers are advocating reversing the Bail Laws, that National tightened up on a few years ago, as Little is suggesting, as there are too many people in jail and not enough bunks.
Here we go again Labour Light on Criminals – don’t they ever learn.
Another nail in their coffin if they do at the next election – building up.
How often do we hear that such and such a serious crime occurred when the prisoner was on Bail.
The suggestion by the panderers is that there are too many jailbirds on Drug charges – bullshit look at the the figures

I see the man appointed to run Shane Jones money vouchers scheme to the region’s is a donor to both Labour and NZ First and also on the NZ Racing board so Shane and Winston are staying loyal to their friends that helped them obtain being our Government for the next 3years. And our Government just made number one on the least corrupt in the world, obviously they haven’t cared to take a good look at some people or the Coalition running NZ in the last two months.

As you now know the hot-chick wet team team-leader used to be in PR and brand development before she joined our organisation. She had a problem with a gropey client and he had a sushi accident. We spirited her away and found something she is really good at.

Just a warning. Keep any dealings you have with her completely professional.

She is hot, and she goes on lots of first dates but she almost never has a second date. She used to give us field reports like “He promised me a banana, but he gave me a strawberry”. Always banana and some small berry or something. I don’t know what the heck she means and I don’t want to ask.

But recently she came into the Monday staff meeting with a huge smile on her face and said “He gave me a pineapple”. I think this is going to be her first second date in a long time. Anyway, I digress…

She thinks you need a PR makeover. You have good dental hygiene, but need to work on the karaoke and put away the razor blade.

Perhaps you can start practicing singing in the shower using your tooth brush as a mike?

  A lot of thieving goes on in the rural sector -especially fuel, implements and stock thefts. Unused dwellings are also set up as meth cook houses and cannabis distribution outlets. One lot even used a haystack to hide illegal drugs.
  Maybe that’s why the “right to roamers” are kicking up again about unrestricted access to farmed land.
  And, under this government, there will be few consequences for any illegal activity. So, might as well go for it as rural policing is not exactly robust either.

Have you noticed that since National tightened up the bail laws at out request we seem to have less cases of serious crimes being committed by people whilst out on bail..

F..k the Criminal Bar Lawyers.

The first priority of a government should be to keep its people safe.

And if the lawyers did not take so much time asking their questions, the courts would try these cases much quicker.

  “You are the millionth reporter who has asked me this in the past 30 years,” she said, “And I tell them all the same thing. The role of men and women on a marae is complementary”
  
  Yeah, good one Margaret. Which is what used to be argued pre-1893: The role and responsibilities of men and women is different. Women are in charge of the household, men the engagement with the outside world, therefore only men need and should have the vote. Which is also the same rationale why not shaking a woman’s hand keeps her “safe” – as does wearing a burka, not allowing her to drive, or have an education.
  
  FFS, cultures in the modern cosmopolitan world, be they European, Islamic, Maori/Polynesian, whatever are robust, dynamic, continually changing, entirely open (or at least they should be!) to critique and/or criticism. They are practiced by grown ups not some near-extinct rain forest tribe in danger of being obliterated unless the patronising and paternalistic anthropologists keep them safe from the outside world! We inevitably all interact cross-culturally, be it at work, in our schools, marriages, sports clubs, communities, and in the main we – in New Zealand – do a bloody good job. Doesn’t need a self-appointed priesthood of experts to tell us how to do it, because, in the main, we are smart and polite enough to work it out via our interactions.

        Voters will want to see houses being built pronto and won’t have much tolerance for excuses, of which there are smorgasbord to choose from, ranging from construction sector capacity, Council borrowing capacity, ratings agency nit-picking, RMA-wielding NIMBYs and nervous bankers. Any signs of bickering between the Government and the Auckland Council in particular, or foot-dragging by either, would disappoint voters hoping for solutions. Any delays in forming the Housing Commission and getting MBIE’s interim Kiwibuild unit up and running will be leapt on by the Opposition and the media alike.
        
        The key players are Housing and Transport Minister Phil Twyford and Auckland Mayor Phil Goff. They need to coordinate their respective governments to plan, fund and deliver the joint and massive investment projects needed to build at least 50,000 Kiwibuild houses in Auckland over the next decade, as well as the rail and other infrastructure needed for those houses. The Government and the Auckland Council must somehow come up with the tools to fund new urban development projects. That will require the cooperation and enthusiasm of both private bond investors and the ratings agencies, who can be wary of the special purpose vehicles that Twyford and Goff hope to use to keep the debt off both their balance sheets. … read more via hyperlink above …

  I know and have spoken to serious and committed athletes who dedicate their time and money to compete at the highest level available to them, and, who due to administrative decisions, have to compete against cross-gender competitors. Invariably they know the inherent unfairness, and so they give the athletes concerned the snub. In the good old days administrators used to run the sport, or at least they professed to, for the sake of the competitors.

  Good on the Aussies for not allowing the ‘female’ transgender to compete in the weightlifting. After all, this person who reckons she is now a female, still looks like a solidly built male. He/She has an advantage over the real deal I think.
  All we have to do is create a separate transgender category for these people to compete in any sporting competition.
  Quite simple really and then and then there can be no argument that he/she is advantaged/disadvantaged or otherwise.

It seems to be my year for disagreeing with those I have a lot of time for – Heather du Plessis-Allan’s latest rant leaves me largely cold.

First off, I heartily support the Labour men who didn’t shake hands with the Iranians. In NZ, men and women pretend to be ‘equal’ and have a lot invested in that credo, albeit mostly in marketing rather than reality. It’s a situation more than equal to the old arguments about whether or not NZ has ‘classes’ in society.

The rest of it is feminist diatribe which would have been best left off. Other cultures have the right to exist – whether we agree with them or not. This constant interference of the West in different cultures is causing mayhem and death in many of those places.

It’s a reality that NZ is an introverted, navel-gazing little nation at the bottom of the world, consumed with its own self-importance and self-congratulation on its own ‘virtues’ while denying and/or dismissing its faults.

Du Plessis-Allan thinks there may be a ‘diplomatic incident’ here – gosh, someone might be told off – and by growly Jacinda-face. How will they cope?

In many other countries, failing to abide by cultural mores means losing the right to live, whether economically or physically, for both self, family, and relatives. Life is very real overseas and often cheap. No-one has the right to demand that an overseas diplomat lay down his and his family’s life in order to satisfy the finer sensibilities of NZ liberals/feminists, let alone the further assault on their personal freedom than they probably already live with.

The MPs, as I say, did the right thing. This is NZ – our space. If you don’t shake hands with women, the men don’t either. But be content to live with your own integrity and leave it at that. Others have to do the same within their cultures and they have just as much right to live in safety as we do.

It Italy it is 37 per cent FPP and 61 per cent proportional.

I wonder whether the Italian system also gives unfair power to small minorities.

    I have zero trust in NIWA as scientists. Every time I have interacted with a NIWA scientist I have been shocked by their lack of commitment to science and complete disregard for anything like the scientific method.
    
    Case 1: A woman I worked with in Christchurch who left to go work at NIWA. I asked her why she wanted to go to NIWA and she said she wanted to go help prove global warming. Not look at the data and see where that takes you, but start with the outcome and cherry-pick the data to prove your point. That’s not science.
    
    Case 2: I asked for a data set on the water levels they measure in the Wellington harbour to run some statistical analysis. They said I could have the data, but only after it had been “corrected”. They refused to give me the raw data. That is very sucky science.
    
    Case 3: I met a NIWA field crew on the upper Selywn River gathering river sediments to “prove” damage from farming. I pointed out to them that they place they were gathering samples was pretty pointless since every fresh completely stripped out sections of the river. Where they were gathering their sediments had been a huge pile of rock just a month or two earlier. I would have expected a real scientist to have been interested in that because it impacted on the validity of the data they were gathering. Not interested at all. No doubt that data got written up into some report showing how farming damages the river or some other ideologically driven dross.

Why is it reasonable for the interior video footage at the school to mysteriously not exist (when it absolutely exists). Why is it unreasonable able to ask how a dead Black girl can be in Hogg’s smart phone video footage but not in the list of official victims? Why is it unreasonable to ask why the school is being demolished when I think every other mass shooting school is still open, or at least most of them. Why is it Hogg who works for John Podesta’s media matters (and was Clintons campaign manager, and man of ‘skippy’ ‘i am your father’ video fame) and whose father is ex FBI, and who is in multiple liberal crisis footage all across the country is the face of the thing, and not the 3000 other non drama students? Nope, we just get the equivalent of ‘dats rayciss’ and a referral to some NBC prick saying common sense is a conspiracy theory.
