Have Labour’s interns tried to unionise? I am told that it is an effective method to oppose an exploitative employer. I’d be happy to join them on a picket line if they wanted to close down Labour Party HQ or Little’s office.

  It has been so obvious watching the msm avoid the issue. Last night on TV1 news they had 10 minutes on Todd Barclay, and less than a minute on Liabore’s slave immigration, showing a positive look at their accommodation issues. ?

  They can’t get any local volunteers. Just like the reason a lot of migrant workers are brought in, the locals won’t do the work, can’t pass drug tests or are just completely unreliable.
  The big issue comes from providing room and board in exchange for labour, that makes Labour liable for PAYE etc.
  The hypocrisy though is very entertaining.

      Gabby: You are not the sharpest tool, so I will be gentle…no-one has to show they got paid or received some other benefit according to how hard they worked (that’s called “piece work” in the trade)…all that has to be shown is they received a benefit in exchange for SOME work, however little…can you follow that?

        DG, you might have to explain that again. I thought that the statement: “all that has to be shown is they received a benefit in exchange for SOME work” was pretty straight forward, but as you quite rightly observe, gabby isn’t the sharpest tool …

        Read his words gabby. It isn’t difficult. Well, perhaps for you. You need to start from a basis that is quite different to that which you bludging envy merchants operate; namely that you raise taxes on the basis of what somebody else (not you) does.

        Interestingly a Labour flyer was hand delivered to my house in Mangere the other day, whereas a few days before I received one posted out by the National Party.

    They are interns and are not being paid. Just like all these vacancies here are unpaid internships. If you don’t like the arrangement, you might like to contact the website and express your outrage. Of course, the National Party doesn’t seem to have a problem with the arrangement, otherwise they would have changed the law. The Tories have been pretty quiet on this issue – thats no surprise as they use interns/volunteers.

      As soon as interns (or any other volunteers) receive payment in the form of free food and lodgings they get caught under PAYE rules and potentially by minimum wage requirements. Generally it is ok if incidental but when you specifically import people and undertake to provide those in return for their labour you are caught.

The corrupt Slave-Labour Green scam and exploitation of 85 innocent international students,is still alive and gathering speed, even though the fake news media infested with trade union ratbags, have tried every trick to shut it down with devious means ,to face the truth,that Liebour/Greens have been caught cheating and out to wrought the legal immigration and work visa requirements of NZ .legal system.
