  I just got home early after I was invited out for dinner. The lady concerned on seeing the news about the last atrocities by the camel jockey’s said it was the American’s fault. She then accused me of being anti women and any short people. She is not a midget be a littler over 5′ i had not taken any notice previously. I thanked her for the nice dinner and left.

The madam running the brothel in Whangarei says she isn’t a whore, but she sure is something else.

Her youngest worker is 19 and says after finding nothing suitable in the ordinary workplace, she’s turned to massage at the brothel with a view to sex work shortly. So she can ‘do things’. Didn’t want to go on the benefit.

Again, the madam doesn’t do the dirty work. She’s just taking advantage.

Awful woman. Should go back to the US. Now the Herald’s headlining her as some sort of paragon of virtue.

  My best friend ran a brothel for years in Sydney.
  
  She would have girls apply in their school uniforms ffs.
  
  Here’s the thing, she could employ an 18 year old at her high end establishment. Where she knows they won’t be mistreated and fed drugs.. Or say no and the girl goes to the low end brothel. What do you do? You can try and talk them out of it.. But some girls want the cash..

      yes, but the difference between DPB,dole and super is that most of us (hope) to eventually be on the receiving end of that largess. Even though demographics and increasing lifespans make it a pretty unlikely that productive people who have saved for their retirement will be getting superannuation from tax payers in 20-30 years time:

      The difference of the super is that it was essentially sold to us effectively a government run communal retirement scheme – we all put into it for 45 or so years then we get a payout.

My point with that Whangarei article is that however you look at it, the madam is an evil person taking advantage of a 19 year old in a minimum wage town who failed at school.

  I’ve watched a couple of episodes of Botched, where two plastic surgeons try to repair the work of other plastic surgeons.
  The thing that struck me is that the producers are quite happy to show some bits of surgery (especially breasts) but always blur out the nipples.

  What a cool, hip comfy and roomy house, plus she’s not always there when she is working in Wellington, so perhaps she could offer to make a couple of spare rooms available to house the homeless (especially those ones that have trouble renting HNZ places for some reason and are put up in Motels, which is an incwedible amount of tax-payers money that could be redistributed for other worthy causes for the people hurrah)!

A morally interesting case.

Here’s a man who has taken part in multiple state-sanctioned murders, tortures, etc who came into NZ on a fake passport and is claiming asylum.

He says he was acting under duress and tried to get away many times so should not be held accountable for his actions.

To some extent I can draw a parallel to, say, the hundreds of thousands of white South Africans (of which I was one) who were conscripted and sent off to fight what is now considered an evil war which often involved murder and torture. Many too were conscripted into the police – much worse.

One real difference is that the South African were generally still subject to the law. Murdering a civilian would get you into real trouble. A bloke I was at school with was a cop and ended up in jail for torturing a suspect to death.

  Generally, I’m opposed to refugee resettlement because the Left use it as a means to destroy western civilisation, but I’m open to exceptional cases. This guy could make good in NZ.   Befehl ist Befehl. An order is an order. Didn’t work at Nuremberg and I don’t see why it should work here. Duress is a defence to many crimes, but not murder, rape or torture. What he has confessed to doing is squarely within the definition of terrorist acts, which can be tried in this country, so perhaps a good compromise would be to lock him up, try him, imprison him for a few years and then let the government decide whether to deport him.

  I doubt wether the Tian family of Te Atatu would get the bizarre humour Ms Bright is expressing.
  Cunxiu Tian , 69, was savagely beaten to death and violated in her own home by a piece of low life scum, Jaaden Stroobant, 19.
  Prisons are for criminals like this piece of crap and Mt Eden is full with them.

Four Square Hanmer Springs manager Mark Emsley said the quake went on for a few seconds and wasn’t too bad.

“I was standing in the aisles and the shelving just rippled and a few things fell off the top but not a lot. That was about it really.”

He said everything that fell was cleaned up in a couple of minutes.

“It’s been a good break since the last big shake and hopefully we don’t have any more.”

Carolyn Allison said the shaking was “definitely” felt in Culverden township.

“Heard the noise before it struck and then the movement which didn’t last very long.”

Yale has renamed a college that was orginally named after a US Vice-President from 1825 to 1832, and came from one of the southern states. He was in favour of slavery.

Guess they’ll have to rename Cincinatti, named after Lucius Quintius Cincinnatus, a great Roman soldier and statesman. He would have been a slave owner.

George Washington was a slave owner, too, so will Washington DC and Washington state have to be renamed?

Admiral Grace Hopper, for whom the Yale college will be renamed, was a good choice if there had to be a change, though. She was one of the few women computer pioneers, and was a leader in the development of COBOL.

Trump’s election causes huge hole in the Oroville dam in Northern California, and the hole is expected to grow bigger the longer Trump is President. The hole has caused a dilemma for those wanting California to secede from the Union, because to fix the hole they will need massive Federal aid. This is indeed a watershed moment for that state.
