Prince Andrew has written to the queen requesting that his daughters Princess Beatice and Prince UJeanie (spelling?) must be given more official royal duties, so they can be treated more like their cousins William and Harry and receive payment for their royal duties.

The queen passed the letter to her royal secretary who passed the letter onto Prince Charles for a decision. Charlie, fearing too many royals sucking on the royal teat during his reign has declined his brother’s request for his nieces to be paid by the state.

Princess Beatrice is onto her 4th job in 5 years.

I see the Herald is running a new line on the “woe-is-us-the-world-is-coming-to-an-end” Auckland house price meme.

Apparently, the end really is nigh now, because “top” science teachers are “forced” to leave Auckland for the regions, due to aforementioned prices.

Um. Isn’t this what everyone’s wanted for years – the revitalisation of the regions. Top science teachers teaching in smaller towns. Brilliant! What a way to really drive growth nationwide, particularly in small towns.

But no, it seems the Herald thinks only Auckland deserves “top” science teachers. The regions can go hang, obviously.

(And I’m speaking as an Aucklander.)

  And you and all your uptickers completely missing the point of the article, linked here for everyone’s perusing pleasure so they don’t have to go searching for it: ‘Ridiculous’ Auckland house prices forcing out young in-demand teachers.
  
  It’s not just science teachers, it’s all the STEM subjects that are being affected. A big part of the problem is that teaching is a low-paid profession, making it inevitable that new teachers especially will not be able to afford to live in more expensive parts of the country if they are not being supported by either their parents or by a much more highly paid partner.

    It is not that teachers are low paid, they are above the national median wage.
    
    It is just that it is not enough to save for house ownership in Auckland. They may need to consider buying a property elsewhere they rent out. Or rent and save into share investment for equity in a future purchase (where they can buy dependent on market returns).

      The national median wage does not take into account the need for a 4-yr degree, and is therefore pretty close to meaningless when comparing levels of pay for teachers. Take out of the median wage every person who does not need a 4 yr degree for their job, and then look at how teachers are placed. My bet is that they are near the bottom of the pay scale for professionals with their level of education.

      A teacher with a good track record and 10 years’ experience is paid $75,000. With the average Auckland house priced at 1 MILLION dollars, a minimum 20% deposit is 2.7 times salary, the 80% mortgage is 10.7 times salary.
      When I bought my first house, the bank was prepared to advance me three times my salary or 2.5 times the joint salaries of my wife and I. Accepting for the sake of this discussion that I and my wife are both top salary level teachers, and that the banks will these days advance 6x my or 5x our joint salaries, we would not be able to buy an ‘average’ Auckland home, at 31 years of age MINIMUM.
      If I were starting out on a teaching career today, I’d be looking for a job in the remote provinces, such as Rotorua or Gisbourne, where $250,000 will get me a reasonable size home, with some land around it for future kids to play on. No brainer.

  I personally know at least 6 teachers who have all left one Auckland school for this reason.
  I left Auckland four years ago and even if I had my salary doubled, I couldn’t afford it.
  
  What will happen is that young teachers will come to Auckland for a few years and rent and then move away to have families. Middle and senior management will carry on until retirement and then there will be no-one who can afford to move to replace them.

Presumably she felt that she was worth more than that amount.
It now transpires that she has come forward just as she is/has launched a pornographic site and shops in the US and that this is good publicity for her new ventures.

    Indeed Dime – very rarely do we hear these cries for help from the little people. When they can’t turn to the authorities because the authorities actively work against them (putting it politely), and the press constantly demonises them for their genuinely held fears, what is there to do?
    
    The ordinary people slave away at their jobs to pay the taxes to fund the people that are supposed to represent them and look out for their best interest, yet they all work in concert to destroy their way of lives.
    
    I’m pretty glad that we have a fence around our property and dogs. But it will certainly become too dangerous for our blond and pretty daughters to have a relaxed dog-walk after sunset or even a ride through the near valleys. We will have to carry pepper-spray with us or anything else which can be used in case of self-defence. Most probably they will have to cover their shining hair, in order not to draw attention to it. So far we have one negroe living here and he has at least two times started to pester my daughters. I’m very emphatic with all of those who still have small children.
    
    It will be too dangerous to let them play outside for even a few minutes. Our shepherd will most probably loose sheep, as well as the breeders of small animals like rabbits or ducks will loose animals as well.
    
    Reading some of these accounts is just staggering:
    
    In the town of LÜBBECKE a secondary school received the command – after the 5th lesson – to vacate the complete building for refugees within just 15 minutes of time, and the next day the students were forced to attend a different location, a special school for handicapped kids, which would have to make room for them.
    
    Soldiers have to move out from their barracks into tents, and asylants will move into the barracks.
    
    There are even plans to force “better off” people to move out if they have rented cheap apartments, so that the cheap housing can be taken for refugees, so, some supercheckers are going to decide – according to your wages – what price you have to afford for an apartment.
    
    If you will ever find another one – there is hardly a choice left.

He pleaded guilty to a single felony count, in exchange for becoming a key witness for the prosecution.         What crap Stephieboy, that’s the WRONG CASE. The Perjury is in relation to an FOI case, and the sworn statement was made before a federal judge; Hillary Clinton swore on oath that she had released all relevant emails. The FBI investigation, flawed as it was, revealed that they recovered a number (not all) of the deleted emails and these contained eMails that were indeed relevant. For example, over 1,000 emails between HRC and General Petreaus who was head of Centcom and the Head of the CIA at the time.
        
        That Justia website is a phony, part of the Clinton campaign.
        
        And in the latest Podesta eMail dump, looks like the FBI deputy director (Paul McCabe) in nominal charge of the Clinton eMail investigation – his wife received over $600K funding for her political campaign from long time Clinton loyalist (and scam merchant) Terry McAuliffe.
        
        Plus the latest crime that Clinton won’t get pulled up on, illegal co-ordination between Americans United for Change and the DNC and the Clinton campaign. I can imagine the telephone call: “Hello, DOJ, we have evidence of something illegal in the Clinton cam…..hello, hello, what…. they hung up on us….”
        
        And just think, the people saying this on video are such minor functionaries that they visited the White House over 140 times and Obama himself 43 times. That’s soooo low end functionary. With the Clinton campaign using lawyerly language to NOT deny the truth that these videos reveal (“we have no knowledge that these people did anything like this while employed by the DNC…” a possibly {but unlikely} truthful statement that doesn’t deny that they did what they claim but only that the speaker has no knowledge of whether they did or not).
        
        Corruption, surely the stench is getting so bad that even the ordinary public can start to detect it…

I would love to see internal polling for National.

I know the top line looks good – 45%+ etc

But id love to see polling on enthusiasm for National.

Top line results are one thing.. but like the stock market, its all about the future. If Dime was analysing National like it was a stock, id be worried.

*what strengths do national have?
*are their loyal base happy?
*whats going on in management (think fuck ups like bennett and smug joyce.. bridges..).
*whats the competition? is their a disruptor out there? (yes, a charismatic 70 year old who likes a drink).

2011 – happily voting national.. would have preferred they did more but we need a second term

2014 – voting national out of a hatred for Dot Com and Hone. didnt exact bounce down to the polling booth though.

2017 – kiss my ass National. maybe your friends on the bene will vote for you.

Its not “voter fatigue” its “my party thinks they have me forever and are pissing in my face trying to win votes from people who hate them”.

IBD poll has the race for president dead even. This was the most accurate poll in 2012. The ABC poll in contrast has Hillary up by 12. This cannot be right. Hillary has no enthusiasm from her voters. Obama who generated great enthusiasm couldn’t win by 12 in his 2 elections combined.

Yes people will go Trump is so bad blah blah blah. But Trump has huge enthusiasm amongst his base.

The race is not over. Trump to win in November I am still predicting.

  There is no need to second guess the polls. Real Clear Politics have their average which smooths the trend and compensates for the outliers. It show Clinton up 5% which is down a bit. nate silver at 538 has built a model which adjusst for all sorts of things ( their rating of historical accuracy, economic factors, polls in similar states etc etc ) . Their estimate of where the race is now has Clinton up 5.9% and their polling day estimate has her ahead 5.2%.
  Given that 1)the Democrats seem united ( both Obamas, Warren, Biden and Sanders all campaigning for Clinton whereas Trump seems to be on his own)
  2) Clinton has three times as many GOTV troops on the ground
  3) Clinton has more money.
  4) A big chunk of the electorate will have voted by November 8
  it is hard to see how Trump has time to pull the lead back.

      One point I would make is the ABC poll shows Clinton ahead by 12 points. That poll is such an outlier that it skews the average.
      Based on what we have learned from wiki leaks it appears to be a Clinton tactic to skew the polls. Could there be polls coming from msm organisations that are totally one sided in favour of Clinton?   Once flew Honolulu to Pago Pago one Friday night some years ago – Pan Am domestic flight old 747 and young crew. As domestic no bags were weighed – it saw 4 big men Island to handle one package. We took off over an hour late at the passengers would not take an notice of embarking instructions – all one crush to get on.
  Many large Islanders were going to a big funeral in Pago. Take off was very very long. Wind shear was experienced on landing (heavy shaking).
  When seat lights were set was the time for many larger persons got up to queue to go to the toilet.
  The young crew could not control them in any way – they just blocked the aisles.
  Had been in LA regarding a Pan Am crash in Pago some time before so was terrified.

A new Podesta email confirms what many of us have suspected for quite some time: the Clinton apparatus has worked with progressive groups to ensure rigged polling metrics that favor Clinton.

If you look closely at the ABC poll, you’ll notice the survey is actually skewed with a 9-point sampling of Democrats as opposed to Republicans. The poll was also conducted in Spanish as well as English, thus skewing its bias in favor of Democrats.

Now this is where the new Podesta email, featured below, comes into play. Staffers with The Atlas Project, a progressive group specializing in demographic research for political campaigns, were asked to “recommend oversamples for our polling before we start in February.”

some of Atlas’ key recommendations to the Clinton campaign:

Research, microtargeting & polling projects

– Over-sample Hispanics

– Use Spanish language interviewing. (Monolingual Spanish-speaking voters are among the lowest turnout Democratic targets)

– Over-sample the Native American population

For Florida, the report recommends “consistently monitoring” samples to makes sure they’re “not too old” and “has enough African American and Hispanic voters.” Meanwhile, “independent” voters in Tampa and Orlando are apparently more dem friendly so the report suggests filling up independent quotas in those cities first.

– Consistently monitor the sample to ensure it is not too old, and that it has enough African American and Hispanic voters to reflect the state.

– On Independents: Tampa and Orlando are better persuasion targets than north or south Florida (check your polls before concluding this). If there are budget questions or oversamples, make sure that Tampa and Orlando are included first.

  I don’t, and I think the criticisms of that particular poll, especially the ties between the people behind it and Hillary, as well as the seriously skewed sampling that make it look less like a poll and more like a piece of Hillary agit-prop, are accurate.
  
  But that’s why people don’t look at one poll, and in this case not at one – or even several – national polls.
  
  State polls – and many of them, melded together. And that analysis shows that Trump is going to lose, probably not by much in the total, nationwide vote-count – but huge in the Electoral College.

Campaign finance records show Mr. McAuliffe’s political-action committee donated $467,500 to the 2015 state Senate campaign of Dr. Jill McCabe, who is married to Andrew McCabe, now the deputy director of the FBI.

The Virginia Democratic Party, over which Mr. McAuliffe exerts considerable control, donated an additional $207,788 worth of support to Dr. McCabe’s campaign in the form of mailers, according to the records. That adds up to slightly more than $675,000 to her candidacy from entities either directly under Mr. McAuliffe’s control or strongly influenced by him. The figure represents more than a third of all the campaign funds Dr. McCabe raised in the effort.

The Reserve Bank has formally asked the Government to add a tool allowing it to place limits on debt-to-income ratios (DTIs) for residential mortgage borrowers to its macro-prudential toolkit.

A spokesman for Finance Minister Bill English confirmed to interest.co.nz that a formal request has been made. The Government, however, is yet to greenlight the move.

“The Minister has asked the Reserve Bank for further information and the Government will make a decision in due course,” English’s spokesman said.

How things play out from here will be very interesting. Because the introduction of a DTI limiting tool has the potential to have a major impact on borrowers, banks and the housing market.

In 2014 the Bank of England introduced rules through which mortgage lenders must constrain their proportion of new lending at loan-to-income (LTI) ratios at or above 4.5 (four-and-a-half times a borrower’s income) to no more than 15% of the total number of new mortgage loans.

In 2015 the Central Bank of Ireland also introduced LTI ratio limits. Loans on primary dwelling homes in Ireland are now subject to a limit of 3.5 times loan to gross income. For banks this limit should not be exceeded by more than 20% of the euro value of all housing loans for primary dwelling home purposes during an annual period. … read more via hyperlink above …

  Obambi’s administration got caught by surprise with the fracking revolution because they’re technological ignoramuses who had no idea this was a thing in the oil and gas industry. By the time they did realise it was too late. Multiple individual states – who control the land regulations, and most of the oil and gas regulations – had allowed it to happen (thanks Founding Fathers).
  
  Obama and company still tried to fuck it over via control over Federal lands, but much of the fracking happened on private lands or lands owned by each of the 50 states.
  
  And then there was the fact that it had already begun to cause huge reductions in the cost of oil and especially gas, pushing economic movements in areas like power companies as they made giant decisions based on those new and long-term prices. No turning back there either. For all his Secretary of the Energy’s talk in 2008/2009 about making petrol as expensive in the US as it is in Europe, Obama was never going to fight falling prices at the pump.
  
  And of course there’s the fact that cheap natural gas has been the main driver behind the USA reducing CO2 emissions by converting coal-fired plants to gas. Ruffalo and the rest of the environmental movement should know this and be applauding the good vs. the perfect.
  
  So what Ruffalo wanted was a degree of centralised, Washington-based state control that should frighten any decent person (aside from Leftists obviously) – a Fascist – and an ignoramus about the effect on oil prices and gas prices, and what that meant across the board.

Apparently Hillary Clinton is celebrating her birthday tonight. She is having a birthday party and has many guests. So far so good right?
Well the thing is that the guests to the party have paid $10,000 each to come along!
Like she can’t even have her own birthday party without gouging people for money. That shows the character of a person right there. She’s all about the money folks.

Blacks have been purposely misled by the Jewish people who, in previous centuries, built their fortunes in the transatlantic slave trade, and continue to manipulate and exploit us even today. Because most black people make no distinction between Jews and whites, it is easy for the Jews to evade justice and escape the blame for the wrongs that they have inflicted on our people for centuries.

In most cases the vast majority of the white race had nothing to do with slavery or other crimes that have been committed against our people. Whites were and continue to be exploited and manipulated by the Jews, the same as blacks, and their race is even more hated by the Jew, where blacks are simply disregarded by the Jews, as are other races. We are all simply pawns to the Jews.

Tony Martin, an African-American who was professor of Africana Studies at Wellesley College for many years, speaks out on how he came under fire from the Jewish establishment when he touched upon the role of Jews in slavery.

I found it very interesting that though I had taught African-American history for many years, I was only dimly aware of the role of Jews in that slave trade and discovered their identity had been cleverly camouflaged as Portuguese, Spanish, Brazilian, whatever.

In fact Jews were involved not only in the African slave trade, but also, and for a very long period of time, in a variety of other slave trades. They dominated slavery from the 8th century to the 12th century, everywhere from Russia to western Europe, to India, to China. They were also a major element in the 19th century white slave trade: a major international trading in female prostitutes.

I discovered also that Jews were instrumental in the ideology underpinning the African slave trade – the notorious Hamitic myth from the Talmud.

The book The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews relies primarily on Jewish sources, hidden away to a large extent in very esoteric Jewish journals, which the average Jew has no idea about. It wasn’t new information, yet was new to many people, including myself.

I decided to add a few readings from this book in my class. And that’s when all hell broke loose. I had stumbled into a controversy because the book had provoked consternation in Jewish circles, causing them to attack me.

The first and major tactic was their reliance on lies – I think they’ve elevated telling lies to a very high artistic form. Four major Jewish organizations issued a joint press release attacking me: the ADL, the American Jewish Committee, the American Jewish Congress, and the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston – they broke one of their holy days for me, a lowly teacher.

Attempts were made to damage my professional credibility. One Jewish gentleman, about 50, made anonymous, random calls to campus, dorms, people’s offices to tell them I did not have a PhD and wasn’t qualified to teach. My classes were disrupted, a flyer was tacked up around my office one day alleging sexual misconduct. Attempts were made to get me fired.

I discovered these folks are very well positioned in the court system and high places. One of my colleagues at Wellesley College alleged I assaulted a white student. Even though she admitted she lied, I still the lost libel case. Three Jewish historians actually went to the American Historical Association and got it to decree by executive fiat that Jews were not involved in the slave trade.

Their own Encyclopaedia Judaica says Jews were half the slave owners in Brazil, yet they would never admit to this. And that has been my basic problem. Why? What’s so special about this group that places itself beyond the pale of criticism.

I have tried to respond by trying to stand on principle and talking the truth. If they hadn’t come at me, I think the only people who would have known of the Jewish involvement in the slave trade would have been my 30 students and myself. But now, of course, the whole world knows about it.
