I got an email from a British relative –

’40 years ago, we voted for a Common Market. We did NOT vote for a Common Government’.

Boils it down rather well.

When the British emerge from the morass – as I am sure they will, having faced worse before – I suspect there will be an egg shortage as fear-mongering faces are covered in yolk.

The one fly in the ointment is that our esteemed Prime Minister backed Remain and Cameron. As did Obama.

Might need some explaining.

What I can’t get my head around is the same clowns who would rail against the TPP and its alleged dark side are the same ones who adore the EU – which has clearly aped their worst fears for years in black & white!

‘Brexit’ Revolt Casts a Shadow Over Hillary Clinton’s Caution

“For Hillary Clinton, Britain’s emotionally charged uprising against the European Union is the sort of populist victory over establishment politics that she fears in the coming presidential election.

Mrs. Clinton shares more with the defeated “Remain” campaign than just their common slogan, “Stronger Together.” Her fundamental argument, much akin to Prime Minister David Cameron’s against British withdrawal from the European Union, is that Americans should value stability and incremental change over the risks entailed in radical change and the possibility of chaos if Donald J. Trump wins the presidency.

She offers reasonableness instead of resentment, urging voters to see the big picture and promising to manage economic and immigration upheaval, just as Mr. Cameron did. She, too, is a pragmatic internationalist battling against nationalist anger, cautioning that the turmoil after the so-called Brexit vote underscores a need for “calm, steady, experienced leadership in the White House.”

But prudence is cold comfort to people fed up with more-of-the-same.

“Brexit is clearly a cautionary tale for the Clinton campaign not to get too complacent with a potential victory,” said David B. Cohen, a professor of political science at the University of Akron. “Trump, Sanders and those in Great Britain who ran the Leave campaign are tapping into an anger and anxiety that is clearly festering. Working-class folks in the United States are similar to working-class folks in Europe. And a lot of those working-class people feel as if the international economic system is not working for them and strangling the middle class.”

Mike DuHaime, a Republican strategist, said the British vote was the clearest sign yet that “the intensity against the status quo is far more real than many are still willing to acknowledge.”

“If the Trump victory in the primary wasn’t enough of one, the Brexit vote serves as a major wake-up call indicating just how frustrated average voters are with those in power,” Mr. DuHaime said.

Several Democrats cautioned against drawing too many lessons from the Brexit vote, saying mass immigration and economic malaise were bigger problems in Britain and the European Union than in the United States. They also said many British voters were revolting against a bureaucracy in Brussels that they regarded as bloated, overpaid and prone to interfering in the affairs of sovereign countries.

Yet the Democrats acknowledged that the worldview held by Mrs. Clinton and many of the party’s elites was not as attractive to many voters as it once was.”

I see now that now Brexit has won, the leaders are forcing out Nigel Farage from negotiations (the guy who inarguably made it happen more than any other), and they say they WON’T be changing any of the immigration numbers. WTF? Immigration was often cited as one of the main reasons for Brexit and now these leaders want to have their cake and eat it too.

Tory establishment Vote Leave’s Douglas Carswell plans to try to freeze out UKIP leader Nigel Farage from the post-Brexit cross-party negotiations, with Daniel Hannan stating that the official Leave campaign never promised British voters an end to uncontrolled immigration from the European Union (EU).

Just one day after the referendum on Britain’s membership of the EU, Member of Parliament (MP) Douglas Carswell stated that UKIP leader and long-time Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage would not be invited to the cross-party committee which will negotiate Britain’s exit from the EU.

And later the same day Mr. Carswell’s colleague at Vote Leave, Daniel Hannan, stated that he only ever said that Britain would have ‘”some” control over the numbers of migrants entering the country upon leaving the EU, commenting: “Frankly, if people watching think that they have voted and there is now going to be zero immigration from the EU, they are going to be disappointed.”

Speaking to Sky on the morning of Friday 24 June, Mr. Carswell, who defected from the Conservative party to UKIP two years ago, was asked if his party’s leader would be engaged in the post-Brexit negotiations to which he responded:

“With great respect, Nigel Farage was never part of Vote Leave. The detailed thought we gave that now needs to happen has to come from the people who lead the official campaign.”

It was then on the 25th that that ‘great respect’ turned to derision when he tweeted in reaction to an article in The Telegraph: “Brexit is going to be a process. It will be overseen by serious people, with a serious plan. Gove, Hannan, Grayling.”

And on Newsnight Conservative MEP Mr. Hannan admitted that following negotiations, Britain would still allow free movement of what he termed “labour” from the EU. Mr. Hannan attempted to separate the concepts of “free movement of people” from “free movement of labour” in his envisaging of a post-Brexit “common market but without the political integration”.

He finally evoked the ire of host Evan Davis who interrupted him demanding clarification between the two, then implying that the official Leave campaign had mislead British voters on their pledge to end uncontrolled immigration from the EU:

“Your campaign has given voters the impression that we will not be able to get immigration down to the tens of thousands if we are in the EU. I think that gives most people the impression that we will get it down to the tens of thousands if we’re outside the EU… the public have been led to believe that what they voted for was an end to free movement.”

Mr. Hannan floundered: “Well, no. We want a measure of control…But I don’t think anyone has ever tried to put a number on it – that’s obviously going to depend on the state of the economy at the time.”

If J Key had backed Brexit it would have caused offence in UK – unwarranted interference in the affairs of UK.

Key was, however, careful (unlike the Obamination who delivered a sermon) to say “from NZ’s point of view….make it easier for us, etc.” and then keep his comment “low key.”

The euphoria of the Brexit supporters is akin to the intense pleasure I gained when the results of the flag referendum were announced here. It may have been an issue of much less significance, but it was still a victory for us ordinary folk in defiance of the big, important people, the likes of the CEO of Air NZ, who were telling us what we should vote for.

Hurrah for the little people of the UK!!!

I’m confused by reporting on the car accident that killed 4 people in the waikato…

At least two of the people who died in a horror crash near Hamilton were parents of young children – including a young mum who was last night remembered as having a “heart of gold”.

Yet…

“Ohaupo Rd resident Steve Hartland said the driver of a ute, who was one of the first on the scene of the crash, had confronted the driver about his speeding shortly before the crash occurred.

“He [the driver] tried to pick a fight with him and the girl in the car was mouthing off to him,” Hartland said.

This girl does not seem nice at all, to abuse someone concerned for her welfare.

I detest boy racers….have definitely noticed a drop off in the numbers of them since the new boyracer laws came into effect. I guess there are now 4 less too.

Because they’re big govt fans, the bigger the better, because while the idiots don’t even know it in themselves, they are all in fact communists and what does communism do with govt? Whereas the TPP is generated by corporate interests. That’s why they love the one and hate the other.

They’re only half right though, just like most of you, the correct answer is to hate both, not to hate one and love the other, as almost all of you here do.

Where did I say Key should have backed Brexit? Clearly that would;d have been foolish. But he was definitely more on the side of Remain. As such that speaks volumes to me.

But you keep cheering him on.

We’re going to see a very large pro-British, buy British campaign start now and that will be bad for us. Doesn’t take many ‘events’ on the world stage for us to start taking on water. This ship is by no means unsinkable.

It’s hard not to see the upside to the Waikato crash:
1) The gene pool is richer – these four were clearly pretty stupid and somewhat self-destructive (patently)
2) The roads are safer for the rest of us – people who will race crazily once will do it again and again and again putting us non-idiots at risk
3) Proof again that the nonsense the police peddle about catching 1kmh speeders – is nonsense. These fools weren’t killed by driving at 55kmh in a 50 zone – they were killed by racing. Although – they could use the defence that there is no prohibition against racing in the road code. Speed doesn’t kill – idiocy does. And the police don’t do anything about idiots.
4) I’d be deeply surprised if any of the four were actual net tax contributors – so the public purse is going to be better off by not supporting the beneficiary boy racer lifestyle.

I’m sure all the Remainer weepers here will be upset about this post – but … um FACTS! The survival rate for racers is far lower than it is for non-racers. They made their choice, they took the risks, probability killed them!

On the subject of Brexit and the sore losers virtue signalling on social media – an interesting thing I have noticed from these whinging “remainers” is that they are all saying the are “European”.

One of my “friends” on his facebook page is now telling the world that he’s part French/English/Welsh/Irish so that makes him European and not British.

Interesting that they can see the significance of being part of a larger genetic family when it suits their argument. However the same types would NEVER support anything that was truly pro the European demos.

Here’s an excellent article on why Putin has done what he’s done.

When I was a student in the 80’s at Akld Uni, Barry Gustaven the National Party historian and Professor of the Political Studies dept gave a paper on Russian politics. This was just before the anti-Nuke debate and when the Cold War was still in vogue. One of the things he explained that, as opposed to the Western propaganda, Russia in fact has always had a defensive not offensive mentality. But it was of course painted as offensive by the entire Western media, govt, defence, intelligence, think tanks and academic communities. When I took a course in Russian civilisation from the History dept a year later, that same theme was evident. The Warsaw Pact was a series of buffer states designed, from the Russian perspective, to protect the motherland. The West of course saw it as an aggresive forward deployment but that’s not how the Russians saw it.

The same misperception is happening again. Since the vested interests that run the UKUSI weren’t getting the required fear dividend from their bogus war on terror, they decided to up the ante by bringing back the Russian bogeyman. And I’ve seen over the last year or two since they started doing that, that many of you have lapped up the koolaid and climbed back onto the bandwagon. Just as they wanted. But it’s not true. It wasn’t true then and it’s not true now.

Any serious political analyst which is what I assume all of you regard yourselves as otherwise why are you here, wants the real truth not propaganda bollocks served up by vested interests and paid liars. So that being the case, if you won’t take the word of a Professer of politics as an indication that maybe you should look into it, then consider the strategy of the greatest English jurist, Lord Denning who, when he was a defence barrister, first prepared the case for the prosecution before he prepared his case for the defence. The lesson is, it’s essential to understand what the other side is thinking, fully and accurately, regardless of what you might be thinking on your side of the fence. Failing to do that breaks all wisdom from Tsn Tsu to Jesus Christ to Lord Denning. And it doesn’t matter what you think about that analysis, it doesn’t matter whether or not you agree with it, that’s all irrelevant. Because you’re not seeking to justify your opinion, you’re not seeking to validate the position you’ve adopted in response, you’re simply seeking the truth, and that stands irrelevant of what anything or anyone thinks about it.

The bizarre thing about the whole Remain argument is it’s very hard to see the benefits of staying in Europe:
– failing economic situation with pretty flat growth in the past 15-20 years
– massive social unrest driven by demographic parasitism
– unaccountable central planning/government (totalitarianism)
– PC insanity embodied in pan European regulation
– massive bureaucratic inefficiencies
– creation of basket case economies (not the stability that was proposed)
– unprecedented levels of terrorism and violence
– rising levels of anti-semitism
– support for Islamist expansion

It is clearly a failed experiment. Why would a sane person vote Remain?

And now that democracy has spoken – we can see plainly how undemocratic and anarchic are the supporters of Remain – being on the opposite side to those fascists feels good. Plainly we are seeing a returns of Europe’s perennial problem – national socialism, albeit in a steroid enhanced version international socialism. Which plainly attracts the same sort of anti-democratic types as it’s 1930s predecessor – it’s ironic how the cheerleader for this totalitarianism is Germany.

At that age, with all the cheap and powerful cars around, is it any wonder these dumdass drivers are killing themselves.

At a recent event in the Waikato I was parking cars for $5. A native pulled in and paid his $5. I told him to go and park around the back of the building. He drove around and came back out. I asked what was wrong. His reply was “Don’t you know what sort of car this is?
(It was a Nissan skyline, some sort of special version apparently). I said “Yes, it’s a stupid fucking Nissan” To which he replied “Hey bro, this car is one that gets stolen all the time” I replied ” Not out here at this time of the day. All the thieves are still home in bed.”
He drove off out the gate with a roar like a fart in a paper bag, just about loosing control down the road, and I kept his money.

I Woudln’t be surprised if he wasn’t one of the dead in this accident yesterday.

That piece of road is extremely safe. In fact they were on a long straight portion. It must have been extremely poor driving skills to end up crashing, but then alcohol appears to have been involved.

Racing on the open road is extremely selfish, the urge by these idiots to show-off proves their lack of restraint and lack of maturity.

There should be a very long prison term for anyone racing who kills innocent road users in pursuit of ‘mine’s bigger than yours’.

I do hope they find the other driver of the vehicle involved.

Tracey Kirk has a column on Stuff today “Moko’s killers deserve Life in Jail ” and I for one agree with her.But the problem I can not get my head around is the Lack of outrage coming from people like Andrew Little and Kelvin Davis.These two Labour criminal huggers went to Australia and campaigned for Murder’s,rapist and violent offenders and spent taxpayers money for it and a young Maori like Moko one of Kelvin Davis race and not the same vigour was shown as In mi Australia apply’s.As I come to grips with this story I wonder if it had been a white person that committed this crime against Moko what would have been Kelvin Davis reaction then

It wasn’t a tragedy, it was a result of stupidity, selfishness, ignorance and lawlessness. These weren’t innocent bystanders involved, these were people who were knowingly breaking the law and endangering themselves and others around them. This was self-inflicted.

A ‘tragedy’ would have occured if any uninvolved bystanders had been hurt. However, I see that in the KDS dictionary – tragedy has another definition:
“When serious injury occurs to irresponsible members of society who take idiotic risks and endanger law abiding citizens by their selfish actions”
or
“When a democratic process produces a result that you don’t agree with”

You see, Mikey, being a totalitarian Stalinist control freak, thought unlelected and unaccountable bureaucrats dictating policy to the Brits was a good idea. In fact, controlling the voters, rather than serving them, is mikey’s idea of a functioning democracy, much in the same way that North Korea calls itself a democratic republic. For the same reason Mikey thinks the State is a better parent to children than the children’s parents. The parents might have politically incorrect values and views, and Mikey thinks only his Lefty friends can save them and make them good Muslim ball lickers. Mikey also believes that good schools peddle drugs and porn to their students, rather than teaching them moral values.

If it’s not obvious yet, mikey should be in a padded room with a wrap-around jacket, and kept well away from children.

The MSM seems in NZ to be obsessed with looking at the negative side of everything. Its evan crept in our rugby commentaries. We trashed the Welsh yet all they could talk about is the number of mistakes we made.

The markets crashed, that’s because the speculators bet on a STAY and when it did not happen they took a bath and had to offload their options at a loss. The same with the money markets. Thats why the Japanese market fell the most as they use the stock market like we use the TAB. All will return to normal in a few days.

Trump and Brexit explained.

…The fact of the matter is that Donald Trump will establish a modern-nationalism within America which will facilitate the transformation of a culture which has become self-entitled on a false sense of exceptionalism. This exceptionalism has been based on the dominance of the US dollar as the world’s primary reserve currency.

The false exceptionalism stands in contrast and non-cognitive opposition to the natural exceptionalism of Americans which is expressed through hard work, ingenuity and fearless dedication. The modern-nationalism will evolve from these past virtues and harness the will of the people as decades of US unipolar dominance is reversed and replaced with a multilateral approach on global governance.

The question has often been asked about American willingness to support and acquiescence to an international powerbroker and the United Nations. Never has it been considered that American nationalism would be used against it as a form of methodical mass transformation. The media attention which is being provided to Trump, though unfavorable for the most part, serves as a strong platform for the Trump message to be promoted and spread.

The cognitive dissonance which is further manufactured between the opposing positions of Trump and Clinton ensures that the positions of either can be fostered upon the people with a quick tweak here and an unseen nudge there. The place of balance between both can be reconciled in a vast number of creative and effective ways. This balance can also be engineered if a third opposing or replacement candidate were to enter the race on either side.

Considering the time and labor which has gone into building the Donald Trump character it is difficult to imagine that he will not become the next president. The case can be made that an equal amount of effort has gone into the Hillary Clinton public image, and the feminist trend towards symbolic androgyny would surely support the rise of a female leader.

But there is something about the Trump brand which is suggestive of a longer and more strategized approach. This multi-decade tailoring started in the 1980’s with the initial cultural injection of Donald Trump. There has been much written about this time period but little attention is provided to the obvious manufactured aspects of the Trump image.

In the early 1980’s Donald Trump was an up and coming real estate developer in New York. There was no connection between the Trump name and casinos or gambling. The obvious nature of the name Trump and its definition related to gambling and card games foretold of the massive empire which would develop in the coming years.

In 1987 Donald Trump purchased his first casino interests when he acquired 93% of the shares in Resorts International. Resorts International has a sordid history which began in the early 1950’s when it evolved from a CIA and Mossad front company which had been established for the purpose of money laundering the profits from drug trafficking, gambling, and other illegal activities.

The socioeconomic engineering benefits of mass population manipulation through means of drug addiction, gambling, and other vices, far outweigh those provided by money laundering alone. It can be assumed that money laundering acted as a secondary advantage in much the same way that the subjugation of the Chinese population through the spread of opium financially benefited the East India Trading Company centuries before.

On October 30, 1978, The Spotlight newspaper reported that the principle investors of Resorts International were Meyer Lansky, Tibor Rosenbaum, William Mellon Hitchcock, David Rockefeller, and one Baron Edmond de Rothschild.

Michael Collins Piper, in his book The New Jerusalem: Zionist Power in America has done an excellent job of describing the relationship between Donald Trump and Resorts International. The following excerpt sums up the relationship:

“In 1987, upon the death of longtime CIA front man James Crosby, the nominal head of Resorts International, up-and-coming young New York real estate tycoon Donald Trump stepped into the picture and bought Crosby’s interest in the gambling empire.”

“Trump soon became a household name, with his colorful personality and his insistence upon naming a variety of luxury hotels, apartment houses and other commercial ventures after himself. But while the name “Trump” appeared in the headlines, the names of the real movers behind Resorts International remained hidden from public view.”

The support of the Rothschild’s would become even more apparent.

After quickly expanding the reach of Resorts International to Atlantic City in the final years of the 1980’s, Donald Trump found himself in financial trouble as the real estate market in New York tanked. The three casinos in Atlantic City, like other Trump assets, were under threat from lenders. It was only with the assistance and assurance of Wilbur L. Ross Jr., senior managing director of Rothschild Inc. that Trump was allowed to keep the casinos and rebuild his threatened empire.

This was detailed in a Bloomberg article from March 22, 1992.

The connection between Baron Edmond de Rothschild, being one of the original principle investors of Resorts International, and Rothschild Inc. allowing Donald Trump to retain “ownership” over the Atlantic City casinos, which saved him from bankruptcy, should not be considered a coincidence.

Great wealth can both create and destroy men of perceived consequence.

Donald Trump landed on his feet when ironically the real estate market in New York turned and his wealth increased dramatically once more. From there the Trump Empire continued to roll forward and eventually expanded its brand into the realm of reality television, the newest method of socioeconomic and cultural engineering.

For those wondering, Wilbur L. Ross Jr. spent 24 years at the New York office of Rothschild Inc. In the late 1990’s he started a $200 million fund at Rothschild Inc. to invest in distressed assets. In 2000, on April Fool’s day, Ross raised an additional $450 million to invest in troubled companies. The timing of this strategy could not have been better, as this report from New York Magazine stated:

“The 2000–1 rolling stock-market crash, 9/11, and a globally synchronous recession pushed scores of companies into bankruptcy. New Economy highfliers like Enron, WorldCom, and Global Crossing went bust. But so did Old Economy stalwarts in industries like steel and textiles—victims of excess capacity, global competition, and generous union contracts.”

So it’s of course no surprise that billionaire investor Wilbur L. Ross Jr. would support the nomination of Donald Trump for president in this Bloomberg article dated March 9, 2016.

It would appear that Rothschild supported front men like Ross and Trump do extremely well in the worlds of finance and politics. Trump’s proclamations to bring jobs back to America will help “….industries like steel and textiles-…” and will support both domestic growth and an increase in wealth for those like Ross who have invested in distressed American assets.

Donald Trump, “…a valuable resource that may be used, especially as a surprise, in order to gain an advantage…” is in fact the establishment candidate for president. The difference is that the establishment is one based on the international banking interests, and not one based on the interests of domestic American elites, which are more represented by the Jeb’s, the Mitt’s, the Ted’s, and even the Hillary’s.

At no time in the history of the modern world and politics has an anti-establishment candidate been given so much media attention and free airtime. The negative reporting of Donald Trump by most media is scripted as such. The cognitive dissonance which is developing surrounding the Trump mandate and transformation of America is a strategy which began decades ago in the 1980’s when Donald Trump first began to canvas our television screens.

One merely need watch the Donald Trump of the past talk about running for president to witness the script in its pure form. All of the talking points about trade deals and bringing jobs back, as well as the United Nations, NATO, and the national debt, all fit within the methodology of the multilateral monetary transition.

It is likely that the plan is just as workable whether the next president is Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, or a wild card like Joe Biden, though I’m leaning towards the Donald strategy as the Trump card which will lead the charge of American nationalism towards a global governance framework.

…As we reviewed in the post How Rothschild Inc. Saved Donald Trump – A Multi-Decade Strategy to Transform America, the rising modern-nationalism in America, which is represented by Donald Trump, is in fact creating the environment where the US population will accept global governance mandates under the pretext of a new form of modern-nationalism.

The BREXIT vote is achieving the same function in Great Britain. The forthcoming demand from other EU nations for similar referendums will be addressed by changes to the EU framework which will further align it with the more macro global governance mandates. Such realignment will consist of each of the EU members returning to the domestic use of national currencies.

We have discussed this here before. Each member nation will continue to use the euro to balance trade between one another but domestic use will consist of the national currencies. This will allow for each members sovereign debt to be redenominated in their respective domestic currency and written down with little consequence on the euro itself.

The recent pivot by German politicians to draw attention to the aggressive nature of America towards Russia is scripting which further aligns with the strategy outlined above.

It has always been speculated that nations and their populations would have a difficult time accepting the loss of sovereignty which global governance mandates would entail. It is an act of genius to allow and create an environment which encourages the growth of national movements only to use those movements as a strategy to further consolidate governance frameworks and repackage globalization as a new modern-nationalism.

The goals of the international banking interests, as expressed by Carrol Quigley, should not be considered a failure because of the rise of Trump and BREXIT. The rise of Trump and BREXIT should mark the next major phase in this transformation.

All the major players, including America, Britain, China, Russia, the IMF and UN, along with the Bank for International Settlements, are all aligned on the multilateral monetary mandates as expressed through the broader use of the SDR and the restructuring of the global power grid.

I am saddened every time I read about ‘Britain’ or the ‘UK’ on the Brexit referendum because, even though I think Brexit is a good thing, it’s seems highly likely that the UK will break up now and there will be no ‘Britain’ (politically speaking) to ‘Exit’.

Sure, Britain WAS a world power blah blah blah… but that was in the past when it was a truly United Kingdom. How will they thrive now as a group of piddling little pseudo-states fighting amongst themselves and flooded with Muslims who fight with all of them? It’s not going to be pretty.

Good point Dave. But I do think it’s going to be interesting to observe in many ways:
– will Scotland and N Ireland secede (they will desparately want to – to continue the massive EU subsidies pushed in their direction, of course until the cash cow dries up when England leaves, will they still want the burden when there is no offsetting subsidy?)
– if Scotland and N Ireland secede – will all the Remain weepers move in a mass show of principle (I strongly doubt their convictions are strong enough to home a homeless person themselves – let alone move countries to stay in the EU blender). Although I would recommend the English government sponsors Remainers to pack up and go to Scotland or NI, they’re unlikely to be net contributors to the economy
– the real challenge will be how England manages when Greater London wishes to set itself up as a caliphate surrounding the financial centre of the nation that is the City of London. I think it seems obvious that London is so laden with immigrants that the region is lost (it certainly voted that way) to the rest of the country and I think planning should begin now for a move of the English capital to a more English region of the country in anticipation of the emergence of Londonistan
– Scotland and NI will I suspect fall in line when they realise their voice in Europe will be as loud as that of Luxembourg or Denmark (ie silent) and especially when the other (even more deeply) disenfranchised members follow England & Wales’ leadership to a brighter future outside of the cold wet blanket of EU totalitarianism.

The way this tournament is structured, one loss in pool play was basically enough to put them into the playoffs for 5-8. They won both games in those playoffs (71-12 Wales, 55-24 Aus). So, you shouldn’t necessarily be slitting your wrists yet 🙂

Er, SGA – it’s that sort of reasoning that, if it ever happens, will cause and cement in place the downfall of New Zealand rugby from the exalted status that it has occupied since, oh, about…1905.

New Zealand rugby teams do not (with one exception – and it was soooo exceptional the people of Munster wrote a play and still remember it) lose to Irish sides. No, it’s not time to slit our wrists – just work a hell of a lot harder to make sure it never happens again. Including the rugby public of NZ demanding better. “Losers whine, ‘I’ll do my best’. Winners f*%* the Prom Queen” (Sean Connery in The Rock).

New Zealand is not a pleasant place for our rugby teams when they lose…and long may that happy and profitable state of affairs reign! It is our duty and obligation to uphold worthwhile tradition!

And that is also why rugby is the premier NZ sport, and sports like league and cricket justify and/or excuse their loses.

Is this entirely due to the religion or do the people who are Muslim also have unique cultural or environmental factors that propel their violence?

Given it’s a yearly tournament, you’d have to expect odd results every now and then. The other perennial major force at this tournament, England (and this year’s winner), failed to make the final four a couple of years ago.
(I imagine some were sounding the death knell for NZ rugby after a certain 1/4 final loss to France some years ago 🙂 ).
