With the Panama Canal an important trade link for New Zealand to the east coast of North America and South America and t Europe, it’s surprising our MSM hasn’t taken an interest in big canal upgrade,which more or less opens this weekend I think, with a big Panamax ship going through.

The New York Times has a long investigative piece on the development, which indicates it might be a balls up.

I sort of agree that it will be a Remain vote, I think it is the most likely outcome as fear and indecision leads the undecideds to vote for the status quo, however, it is so close in the polls it will come down to the turnout, and at the moment London and the South are dealing with torrential rain, and flooding, this may keep many undecideds, and those that aren’t fully engaged, at home, which could help swing it to the Brexit vote.

As for changes – that has been ruled out by Juncker, he stated yesterday in a press conference there would be no more concessions to the UK on immigration, or anything else, the EU have given all concessions they are going to. If anything a Remain will most likely mean a worse deal for the UK. There is no hope of reform of the EU by the UK if they Remain.

Since then I have never bothered getting an aerial so can not watch broadcast TV even if I wanted to.

Watching the idiot box has left them too stupid to even change the channel. I have zero sympathy for their self inflicted malady.

TV is a reflection of society. That’s the complaint – it’s lamenting a world of dipshits who would watch crap.

I don’t feel sorry for me either when I watch peasant vision or turn the radio on – it’s a choice.
