Which brings us to Hillary as Queen of Turbo-Charged Casino Neoliberalism. And once again, the evidence insists to suggest that her actions do not exactly match her rhetoric.

Hillary takes no prisoners when it comes to imprint on public opinion she’s a dedicated apostle of the No Bank Is Too Big To Fail ethos, and is fully committed to their “reform”. She may have won the Battle of Wall Street, at least as far as the Democratic Party is concerned. But that was never a battle.

Enter, once again, those by now notorious three Hillary Clinton speeches to Goldman Sachs executives in the fall of 2013, which translated into a hefty $675,000 add-on to Hillary’s piggy bank.

This may – or may not – be a Pandora’s box. One of the speeches ($225,000) was in a summit in Arizona, where Hillary seems to have been busy impersonating a Goldman Sachs managing director. Glow, Goldman, glow. Other speeches were, at a minimum, “friendly”.

Hillary repeatedly refused to release transcripts of the speeches. So it’s up to at least another speech to offer a lateral clue. Here is Hillary talking to Goldman Sachs executives – including CEO Lloyd Blankfein – on September 2014, during the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in New York. Goldman Sachs, predictably, is a top CGI sponsor…

You raise a very important topic. (And I don’t have the energy tonight to do it justice.)

Please note that it is not only Japan that is facing this phenomenon. The situation in South Korea is worse. And in Germany too. And in Italy.

My wife says that Japanese society needs to improve childcare for working women.

In my opinion,
– a Japanese husband in his late 20s needs to be able to afford a 3-bdrm dwelling within a 30-minute commute from his work, and be able to pay off the loan before he reaches his mid 50s (on his salary alone) so that his wife can raise 2-3 children.
– the stupid rote-learning education system has to change (which it is)
– the elderly have to die off (they will bleed the welfare system dry)
– the youth of Japan have to start voting for a party that will look after their interests
– the older generation (Boomers) must sell down their houses and step aside (sound familiar?)
– the Japanese media needs to project positive male/father role models

The problem is so many Christians don’t understand this basic doctrine.

They focus on “trying to stop sinning” which is futile. Then we Christians project that on everyone else and just irritate people for no real gain, the only converts won are people predisposed to doing the same thing anyway – judging others.

The key is “to walk by the Spirit” ie, not focus on yourself and “fixing” everything that is wrong, then by default the outward behavior changes.

It’s taken me years to understand this and I’m still struggling with it.
