This site provides information for vegetarians. Cheese can be made with or without rennet which is derived from the stomach tissue of a slaughtered calf.

I’m no cheese maker or expert, you need an acid and microbes(and few other bits) to turn milk to cheese. For ever this was done through using the rumen of calves, now there are other options.

But as I said, ‘Vegetarian’ cheese sounds like all sizzle and no steak to me (pun intended)

While TPTB take everything for themselves and bomb and destroy the Middle East and communities/buildings/artifacts that have been there for centuries, In the carcass of Western Civilisation what was once society is now women blaming men, gays blaming straights, “lefties” blaming “righties”, darkies blaming whites all fighting over breadcrumbs while TPTB take everything for themselves. NZ has been, and continues to be sold out to the highest bidders while we go into debt and slash interest rates to kid ourselves we’re still wealthy. Never mind our savings can’t earn us a return and our productive assets are in foreign hands.

Just about but it is possible for even vegans to eat a reasonably balanced diet although it would be so boring as to make life interminable. Any pulses will provide sufficient protein to sustain life.

What is cruel & bordering on child neglect is bringing up young kids on the crap. Even seed eating birds have more sense as they feed their young insects to give them a head start.

I agree with you. I was a vegetarian from about age 16 to in between my two children when I realised after one child that our diet was insufficient for good health. I’ve also seen the effects of vegetarianism on my children’s friends. Typically the vegetarian kids are small and pale if the ones I know are anything to go by.

EAD thanks for that. I’ve recently started thinking about two things I’ve observed in the sheeple.

I’ve observed that one type of sheeple refuses to look at data in its entirety but parses it for anything “offensive” (to them) and if they come across even a single sentence in a thousand sentence piece of otherwise brilliance, they’ll stop reading and reject the entire brilliance. Notwithstanding up to that point, it was all perfectly (to them) fine.

I’ve noticed this in mm to the degree it’s his modus operandi, he never does anything else. And I’m wondering if this illness is a result of the lefty mindset, the rabid howling hallucinations these fools have that the world is deeply sinister and if it weren’t for the fucking idiots like them, everyone on Earth would be running round causing offence and being rude left, right and centre, 24/7/365.

This is where they get their towering sense of superiority and self-righteousness from, why they think that if it weren’t for unions, why employers would the very next day simply take out those workers who weren’t performing and shoot them. Then they’d chain the rest of the workers to their desks and make them all work 20 hours a day for 5c an hour. The gibbering fools really truly do hallucinate that if the unions weren’t there this really truly would actually happen, probably inside 5 minutes if not sooner.

Multiply this mindset out and extrapolate it into a worldview and you see why lefties think they’re just way better than everyone else because why, they’re humane and they’re kind and they’re sensitive and their widdle hearts are just so big their almost burst with kindness they’re so special, they truly really in fact are.

My point EAD is that because the evil ones are who you and I know they are, you’d think that lefties would be amongst the first on the truth train. But as we know, hardly any of them are.

It’s just a nascent hypothesis, but thought it’d be interesting to get your input on it.

The other type of course are the conservatives, they’ll be covered in another post.

What on earth are they doing ? They look like they’re stuck in freeze frame. Han Solo in carbonite shopped faster than these losers.

This is really fucking clever – put the self-checkouts in the middle of shop. And then security checks every shopping bag on the way out – not knowing who’s just come from where doing what. Who’s a clever boy then ?

Yes, I was raised on a broad meat & veg, etc diet. It was the yoga book that got me into vegetarianism. Apparently, it was the only way to live well and be able to do amazing yoga. It suckered me in.

This is my line of work and I can tell you no they are not the same.
The reason is as others have said,its do with the rennet added and whether it is calf rennet which is used in normal cheese or synthetic or plant based rennet used in vegetarian cheese.
Also the Edam you buy in the supermarket is mass produced bulk blocks cut into smaller blocks where as vegetarian Edam is produced on a much smaller scale due to lower demand and sales.

Both Aldous Huxley & George Orwell were intelligent men who well read the human condition. That is not to say that their opinions were other than generalisations formed by interactions with others they disagreed with anyway.

You & Reid make the grave mistake of thinking yourselves as being the sole custodians of the “truth”. Where we differ is that you see everything as being preordained by the “evil ones”. I & many others of the centre realise that there is no central planning. Everything that happens is random & only influenced by current conditions.

That is not to say that there are not greedy & evil people out there reading the currents & ready to act to their own advantage be their goal riches or power.

Lucia Maria – could not answer that one definitely but more than likely a mistake as if everyone started eating vegetarian Edam there would not be enough for everyone as we don’t produce enough of it as it is a niche product.
To give you an idea of scale the biggest cheese plants in NZ could churn out about 350 tonnes of Edam each in a day if needed whereby vegetarian Edam could be produced maybe at around 10 tonne or less.

All of these stupid stories – I’m thinking so many things. I mean – look at her for a start. Charde ? The name is fucked – maybe I’m ignorant. I wouldn’t pick it. Stripper name fgs. Bras – I know they’re damned pricey when they go up in cup size – there’s so many different damned combinations of cup and chest size I think it is – I don’t know exactly why apart from good old supply and demand. What would an elephant in a bra look like ? Does it matter what the bra is like ? Sexy, huh ? FF size – sure, sure. You want quality and quantity. Not just quantity. Maybe it’s the industrial strength re-bar reinforcing that makes them cost so much ? She wants to be a saucy minx sometimes. You know how to really feel sexy ? Lose about ten layers of fat rolls. Another cost of the obesity crisis – tits like bowling balls that need hammocks to keep them off the plate (partial credit: Married With Children).

I don’t know any secret shops or what that woman could do. I would’ve thought bras are the least of her problems. I know breast sizes have gone through the roof last 30-50 years – somewhat or mostly in proportion to sickening increase of supersumo women. My local K Mart sells T shirts in sizes like a perfect game of ten pin – xxxxxxxxxxxxL. Unrelated to bras – I just find that hilarious. Stuff them – it’s the fat acceptance movement – I’ve finally found my KB angle to kill the whole debate off with. Oh – fat women – nothing wrong with us and we want sexy bras at a low cost just like the human-shaped women.

It’s bloody K Mart anyway – none of their bras are sexy. Nothing is sexy about K Mart.

Both Aldous Huxley & George Orwell were intelligent men who well read ~~the human condition~~ human history and the means by which rulers maintain control. Insights into how individuals are crushed and conformity is enforced.

Huxley observed that by keeping society passive, entertained (much like the Romans with their “bread & circuses”) and focused on trivia, you can fill the populace up with all sorts of nonsense, they’ll believe it and the rulers could mould a compliant population. Take a look at tonight’s “One news” for an example.

Orwell amongst many things noted how fear, punishment combined with surveillance & a controlled press are used to control a population. Modern society in other words.

You & Reid make the grave mistake of thinking yourselves as being the sole custodians of the “truth”.

No this is YOUR hallucination nasska and it’s shared by many of you here, but it’s not true, at least for me.

My beef with you is that what UT, EAD and I and millions of others of us worldwide all believe, is incredibly important, if true, but you have already in your minds decided that it can’t be. Based on what? A careful objective analysis of the millions of data points that ALL point to the same thing?

You guys don’t know because you’re wilfully ignorant of the entire field let alone the details of what’s in it, but it’s a fact that everyone of us in those millions all have the same basic perspective on what the issue is, and you know nothing about it. It’s like a non-religious person trying to explain the Bible to someone who knows it. They just can’t give any insight, but the non-religious person deeply believes they DO have insight. This prevents you from looking at the data objectively. You THINK you’re being objective because you THINK your position is “scientific.” That’ your view is odds on the most likely because FFS in the whole world of 7 billion there’s only a few million, even only a few hundred million that believe this shit? There are many aspects to this syndrome and I point out the exact same syndrome exists when a non-religious person attempts to explain or debate the Bible with a religious person who knows it. So it’s a dynamic that happens in thought processes.

The point is, this is very limiting because it means you don’t look at the data you simply and exclusively refer to the conclusion you have already reached. I guarantee you and I couldn’t have an intelligent discussion on 911 because I guarantee you know nothing about it. You might have watched a 2 hr “documentary” explaining how preposterous the whole idea was, replete with disinformation and straw men aplenty so to tell you, in your “scientific” view, that it’s just fucking nuts, period. But like I said, I guarantee you have NEVER, not ONCE actually dropped your mindset and set out to review the data points on the sites that EAD, UT and I frequent. Therefore what I know about 911 and what you know doesn’t really compare, and I guarantee I know everything about 911 that you know, because I live in the West. You may think that’s arrogant but really it’s simply a fact.

And as I said in the beginning, if true, this is critical knowledge, available for free, right now, a mere click away, and none of you will avail yourself of that. I find that fucking dumb, frankly. That’s why I call you sheeple, because if true, the upcoming effects on you, your health, your life, your children, your retirement, your job are awfully significant and becoming more so like a massive wave, growing and growing and growing. And if I was where I was before I started reading all the stuff I’ve read, I’d think that was pretty important. But you guys don’t. Just like the boys who’ve headed off to our various wars, you’re one day going to find yourself heading to the works, and some of you probably won’t even know it, until you get unloaded at the abattoir.

And the glue would take about a week to wear off, during which time the protesters had to get up and go to work or buy groceries etc, and during which time they got smellier and smellier, until even their flatmates, formally so very caring, made them sleep on the porch, whereupon the insects and animals were attracted by the extremely alluring pheromones deviously implanted in the glue.

Just watched a St John’s appeal ad and occurs to me, since the govt funds so much less deserving causes, how come it can’t even see it’s way to fund a national ambulance service? How comes that vital service is left up to the generosity of the taxpayer while so many less deserving slip through to suck at the teat, with no questions asked, it seems, in many case? Why is that? How come St Johns isn’t just standard full funded, and all the rest of far, far less worthy candidates, compete for the remainder?

I mean clearly, the cynical calculation works because none of us will let St Johns fail.

But isn’t it indicative of a certain ruthless calculation, that Treasury continues this and the politicians of all stripes, have gone along with it, since forever?
