An Australian would-be jihadist is among people listed in a stunning mass leak purporting to be Islamic State (Isis) membership forms – which also showed he was worried his poor eyesight and inability to operate a manual car could limit his ability to carry out a suicide bombing.

It almost sounds too good to be true: the huge list of Islamic State fighters, leaked from inside the organisation’s own internal security division, potentially represented a treasure trove of detailed information on the group to be picked apart by intelligence agencies.

Sky News revealed that it had acquired this list, reportedly registration documents for Islamic State fighters from 2013.

There were tens of thousands of names on the list from at least 51 countries, the British news organisation reported, making it perhaps the most important Islamic State leak since the Sinjar records of al-Qaeda in Iraq – documents discovered by US forces in Iraq that contained the details of over 600 fighters from that group, a precursor to the Islamic State.

Not forgetting their recent profit $1BILLION SEVEN HUNDRED MILLION.The other side of the coin,another greedy Australian Bank Westpac rushed in and dropped investor rates by believe it or not $.25%,in some instances. Seems the greedy Australian Banks in NZ, fresh from an overall profit of almost $5 BILLION DOLLARS,think that was not enough profit, and feel a bit more gouging from their captive NZ customers will continue.

There are 22,000 names on the list……and it is not an IS registration list……..but a list of 22,000 people who are willing to be SUICIDE BOMBERS ect……that is why the aussie computer guy added to the bottom of his form “I have poor eyesight at night, and can only drive an automatic vehicle.”

The list was stolen from a senior IS member by a former Free Syria fighter….who ‘defected’ to IS……the list was on a USB stick.

I agree. Utter nonsense. The entire logic involved is beyond demented. The Police respond to a helicopter being shot at. The media seem to be making it out as if they rocked up with water-pistols and discovered the situation involved real guns. Even if they had, they have firearms in their vehicles and are immediately armed with tasers. What good would have come of arming ‘all front-line officers’?

The logic is maddening. How many police officers have been wounded, or killed, in the past ten years who, in practice, would have been saved, bar immediate access to a firearm? That’s the test and our media just like to bring this up every sodding firearms incident, as though it’s the basis for such a question.

A good (and sadly all to accurate) synthesis on how the European Civil War is going to play out.

The end game is so obvious to any rational thinker, yet still the elites continue on with their replacement of the European people’s full steam ahead. As of this morning the only bank to have lowered their floating rate is Co-op, so not sure the love for Kiwi or hearland – fyi heartlands floating rate is 1% above the others, so woohoo nz owned banks.

and since the fixed rates are primarily sourced overseas, why would dropping the OCR have any impact on this?

for most of the last time the OCR was around the current level, fixed rates were quite a bit higher, in the early 6’s rather than mid 4’s.

almost like armchair experts dont know much beyond their own mortgage rates and think that refixing .2% lower than their current rate makes them an expert on fixed rate flows (course they are quiet when its going up). sad really.

Five years today since the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. I recall that I was sitting at home with my wife on a Friday night, when I saw on Twitter that there had been a major earthquake and tsunami warnings were in force. We flicked the TV over to CNN, and within minutes were watching the devastating tsunami roll in. It was one of those moments where you felt like a voyeur; you knew you shouldn’t have been watching, but it was impossible to turn away.

Just as 22 February was an important day for the people of Christchurch, today will be a very sombre day for the Japanese. A friend was part of the New Zealand USAR deployment to Japan after the disaster (and after three weeks in Christchurch) and said the level of damage was indescribable. They found tsunami debris and bodies miles inland, and in one case, even on the lower slopes of a mountain.

Nature’s power in incredible at times as you can see in the video below. Kind thoughts are with the people of Japan today.

The history of Europe is of people living under Churches, Kings and tyrants. And since 1900 Europeans have failed to live under free democratic rule as they have no strong public and private institutions to support it.

Europeans are all to willing to live under a EU militarised policing system – just like the British are all too willing.

It is there history to be ruled over. And so shell they be.

FYI, here is what teh ANZ emailed me this morning when they sent out the confirmation of a .10% reduction in the floating rate:

and to be fair, there is a small difference between teh floaitng rates of the banks, .2% max on the carded rates. but when discounts can be upwards of 1% (which is my floating discount), then the carded rates are essentially pointless.

fixed rate advertising is much the same, as discounts are quite common, depending on your LVR and size of loan (size of loan often being more important).

but dont forget, while you are prevaricating over 4.49% for 2 years or 4.55% for 3 years, the bank is chuckling, happy to keep you focused on the premium for the money and not the overall cost. ie, you get very smug about getting .1% off your fixed rate but forget that you have 27 years to go on the loan and will end up paying back more than you borrowed, in interest.

the interest rate has nothing to do with paying back a loan, has never and will never.

i dont focus on the rates themselves, but on the repayment strategy (so aligning fixed terms with future goals and minimising fluctuations), with an aim to reduce the overall interest cost to my clients by over $100 000 (ie pay the bank 100K less than they would like to get).

but lets go back to whinging about banks shall we 🙂

No, making sure the parents and children are unable to ghetto-ise (for lack of a better term). My daughter is friends at kindy with an Italian girl (through whom we now know the parents). My daughter is of British and Soviet ‘ethnicity’ (in very broad terms), but her friends are one Kiwi, Italian, and a Kiwi (with an American mum). The teachers are New Zealanders and British (of long-term residence). The kids grow up eating Marmite, butties, and speaking English the way it’s spoken hear (even when daddy tries to explain that there are different ways of pronouncing H and Z). That’s assimilation. The same as the people I work with may be Indian, German, Filipino, British, or Kiwis. We aren’t carving out our own little spaces in the office or this country. Choosing not to drink or eat pork isn’t a problem, refusing to socialise and participate, let alone incur violence against others here, is the major problem.

No, but why at an Islamic school in NZ would you clothe the boys in non-Western clothing that included something like he churudar, which is what our word, pyjamas, seems to be derived from. Why, when you move to a Western country for Western style living would you want to keep women in niquab face hoods. If you don’t like Western ways, stay away.

As for food, chapati, parata, dhal, roti, naan bread, can be as tedious as the 19th century English town foods, the Stephieperson describes. But hopefully, Stephiestanis have assimilated by using knife and fork rather than sticking with just the right hand.

As for “apartheid based marriage”: we don’t want parental choice of marital partners for children being enforced in NZ, and we would bloat the national health bill if we had high proportion of forced first-cousin marriages as seems to be the practice among British Pakistanis.

You bet I’m concerned about the TPPA Penny. I’m concerned that opponents of free trade and others who like to turn up at demonstrations even when they don’t know what they are actually opposing will hijack the information seminars being run by the Government. I’m concerned they will turn up dressed as clowns and dildos, and generally make a nuisance of themselves, preventing those who have turned up from actually hearing the TRUTH about the TPPA, not the revisionist version being peddled by Jane Kelsey and those who fawn around her. But even worse, I’m concerned that Penny Bright impersonator will turn up again 😎

Last time a Police officer knocked on my door he was in AOS gear asking us to leave for work early as they were had an “incident” taking place 2 houses along.
I politely said yes and we took off.
Flashbangs and dogs sorted things out.
And my feeling is when dealing with the Police is to be polite and courteous. Gets you further than behaving like a dickhead.
