Followed a black Commodore around a double-lane roundabout yesterday, he was in the left lane and was indicating right as he left the roundabout. Came up beside him at the next red light and noticed he has a blue shirt on with ‘Police’ on the shoulder.
This was a couple of days after I got a speed camera ticket in the mail for doing 108 on a deserted motorway.

I got 22 downticks
However Penny got 63 downticks, almost three times my number.

I think neither result had anything to do with the usual justification of downticks – looking on the bright side… “I must be on target, hitting close to the nerve (or bone), to be receiving so much flak.”

Some of my downticks would be for repeating information already given, before Penny’s comment disappeared into oblivion.

So a considerably miserably large gap remains.
It is not the so-called KKK, because there appears to be only about three members in total
Is it that the Bright brand is in fact tarnished – like, anything Labour labels a crisis, is doomed to improve immeasurably.
Is this the reverse of that?
Has Penny now reached a point where associating herself with an issue is to actually do that issue a disservice?

Funny how one of the “crimes” that they are accusing David Daleiden of is of “purchasing human organs”. Newsflash – you can’t purchase organs if someone isn’t selling, and that someone is PP. In order to charge this guy you have to admit that Planned Parenthood is selling baby parts in the first place.

If there is a trial, I think there is a law allowing the lawyers to subpoena the records of the involved parties. In that case, I look forward to it. Let’s bring more of PP’s actions out into the light.

An imperial grand jury investigating criminal allegations against the Galactic Empire stemming from a series of undercover videos instead indicted two Rebel Alliance activists who shot the footage.

In a stunning turn of events, the imperial grand jury declined to indict officials from the Empire, and instead handed felony charges against Grand Master of the New Jedi Order Luke Skywalker and fellow Rebel Alliance activist Han Solo. Skywalker was also charged with a misdemeanor count related to having the hots for his sister, which members of his own legal team even admitted was “totally weird and deserved.”

The case sprang from a number of undercover videos in which members of the Rebel Alliance posed as Stormtroopers and captured several Empire employees appearing to discuss profiting off of the Jedi purge. However, when the videos were released online last year, the Galactic Empire claimed rebels had edited the videos to “created a misperception.”

“The Rebel Alliance uses the same undercover techniques that imperial journalists have used for decades,” Skywalker said in a statement in response to the indictment.

Galactic Empire officials hailed the indictment as vindication of the dark side, saying, “As the Tatooine dust settles and the truth comes out, it’s become totally clear that the only people who engaged in wrongdoing are those that used the Force to produce this fraud, and we’re glad they’re being held accountable.”

Leftist Bryce Edwards, who seems to have open access to the Hooerald, commenting on the Transparency International Corruption Perception Index, asks “how do we explain the tarnishing of New Zealand’s clean reputation?” and says:

It could be that many of the National Government’s various controversies are finally coming to home to roost, impacting on New Zealand’s global reputation. Although these controversies have varied in their seriousness and credibility, many of them have played a role in eroding the perceived integrity of the administration and the wider public sector.

This index movement merely shows that some group believes NZ has moved from being perceived as the world’s least corrupt country to being fourth least corrupt behind Denmark, Sweden and Finland. (Interestingly Denmark has just decided to confiscate refugee/migrant property as they enter the country.)

This is a trivial change of position, though this is disguised by Edwards, a former staffer of the Alliance Party.

Wait, at the end of the piece, we see that Edwards is “a Board Director of Transparency International New Zealand”.

It’s a load of crap.

Old media in the US is in turmoil about not having killed off Trump’s campaign despite the most dishonest and cynical witchhunt on him, and it’s hard to find fault with Trump’s judgment. Megyn Kelly is absolutely 3rd rate. She’s been outspoken that “Trump cannot win her over” which is an appalling admission for a so-called journalist who should be able to be keeping an open mind about her work. So she’s self-admittedly biased against Trump – which Trumps doesn’t think is appropriate in a Presidential race debate (and every sane person would agree I would imagine).

So Fox’s professional network response? They release a childish and petulantly sarcastic statement suggesting that they think it is perfectly OK to not provide a level playing field for candidates. They also suggest that Trump’s response to Megyn Kelly’s vicious and unbalanced interviewing attack on him has caused Trump to viciously attack Megyn Kelly (which kind of seems a natural way to react to a nutter like Kelly).

Here is what Fox said…
“”We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president — a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings,” the Fox statement said, CNN Money reported.”

So now Fox have a presidential candidate debate – missing the biggest fish in the pond. They’re going to look so stupid. It’ll be like a RWC tournament without the ABs taking part.

This is just going to add to Trump’s support. The filthy US proletariat are sick to the back teeth with being told what to think and only having lame duck political hacks to vote for – this is going to be so much fun to watch as the US media tie themselves in knots over this.

AgentBallSack, at least in the Catholic Church I think it goes toward the upkeep of the Church, living expenses of the priests etc. And the Catholic Church is not rich. I did a post on this several years back.

They were built with the sweat of the brow of volunteers who worked ’till 11 PM every night after a full day of working their regular day jobs. That is the real wealth of the Catholic Church – the people, and 2000 years of prayers of the faithful.

Fletch, thanks. Those cloistered priests in Vatican surely require a lot of money. Since the Vatican is one of the most visited countries in the world the money must be stacking up somewhere? The real money is in the land the church owns though. Easy to be land rich and money poor.
Just my observations on the world.

AgentBallSack, true that. But (in another quote from a link within my original article) if the Church did sell off everything it owned and gave $2 to everyone in the world, what then?

Some people see the beautiful Catholic art and say “sell it and give the money to the poor!” (Jn 12:5)

Judas’ said “we could get 300 denari for that perfume and give it to the poor” (Jn 12:5) but Jesus corrected him “The poor we will always have with us.”(Jn 12:3-8) Jesus’ words sound cold and cruel toward the poor. But he saw that this valuable perfume was being used to build up the kingdom of God. He could also see into Judas’ heart.

How do we reconcile Jesus’ words “the poor we will always have with us” with his words to the rich man “go and sell everything you own and give it to the poor.” (Lk 18:22) On the surface they appear in conflict . The difference is that the rich man’s valuables did not build up the kingdom of God while the perfume (art for the nose) did. It would be used at his burial.

The Church could sell off all its art. These beautiful contributions to our faith and culture could be put in the back rooms of private collectors’ studios. This would be comparable to Evangelicals closing down their recording studios, selling the recording equipment and stop making great Christian Music. We could redirect all this money to the poor. If the Church got fair market value for all its art and property there would be no more than a couple of dollars for each poor person in the world. Then it would be spent and we would have no art to enrich our faith and evangelize new Christians. Not only that but there would be no Church property and no Churches. I don’t think this would be in service to God.

By selling off all it’s property, the church might be able to help a very few for a very short time but where are those who need spiritual and emotional succor going to go to be ministered to and taught and blessed when there are no churches anymore?

BURNS, Ore. (KOIN) — One person died and 8 were arrested — including militia leaders Ammon and Ryan Bundy — after the FBI and the Oregon State Police intercepted the group along Highway 395.

The militants were heading to a community meeting in John Day when they were confronted by authorities.

Shots were fired after FBI agents, Oregon State Police and other authorities made the stop. It is unclear who opened fire first.

In a statement, the FBI said one person who was “a subject of a federal probable cause arrest” was killed. That person killed was later identified as Arizona rancher LaVoy Finicum, the de facto spokesman for the militia, CNN confirmed.

Ryan Bundy was also shot and injured, sources confirm. He is expected to survive.
