I just took a look into it. Fascinating! There are indeed hundreds of people repeating that list. Presumably that’s enough for you to believe it’s legitimate.

What’s fascinating is that the list doesn’t exist on Google when you restrict the searches to prior to 2009.

It seems that the first time it appeared online was in a March 2009 article by a “Catholic Family News” writer named Timothy Matthews, on CatholicInsight.com. The original article has since been taken down, but is available on the Internet Archive here.

He provided no citation at all, so it’s hard to know if he was the one who invented it, or if someone else invented it and he believed it. It certainly doesn’t appear in any writings by anyone associated with Cultural Marxism.

And then, since 2009, because it was such a noteworthy lie, a lie that made people feel good to copy and paste as the truth, it’s been passed on again and again. Today the lie appears 4,210 times on the web.

Well, thanks to you, it’s now 4,211.

stephie, this doesn’t mean they create offences for racism, it means they create fake offences against faux racism where none exist. The latest evolution of this, is the micro-offence policy being wholesale adopted in many to most US colleges, whereby even if no offence was intended, people are nevertheless entitled to complain regardless. Which has resulted in firings from tenured positions, grovelling apologies and the like, all for no reason at all, other than to make everyone shit scared of speaking their own mind, in other words, totalitarianism. What about this do you not understand? Apparently, quite a bit.

Ryan, BTW, re: the citation needed, I forgot to add: reality itself. Survey Western society. Tell us this is not happening all around us. Go on.

Lots of people expressing “deepest sympathies”. And then promptly choosing to do nothing, accepting the status quo and not in any meaningful way condemning the government’s stance as both ignorant and immoral.

Gee, you have a very different definition of sympathy (“feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else’s misfortune.”) than I do. I hadn’t realised it required political action to be valid.

A comment, no matter how nasty, breaks no bones. In contrast the government’s position is a nasty imposition that has a real and harmful effect on people.

Please tell this to anyone who has ever been bullied. I am sure you will receive a “sympathetic” hearing.

It’s quite revealing that for many on the political right saying something mean about John Key is the real injustice that deserves to be highlighted. Puts into perspective the vacuous nature of their supposed “sympathies”.

What isn’t revealing in the slightest is the sanctimonous way the political left claim the moral high ground as the only ones who real care and are the only ones entitled to a sense of injustice.

I think as the link below suggest cultural marxism is a a catch all term by far rightwing jabberwocky and shibboleths that seeks to try and freeze time and take us back to the pre slavery abolition and beyond .

Reid, your 11 points are a highly distorted and simplistic account of what is actually happening today in terms of social change . Church attendance has beeb declining for other reasons like it’s not compulsory anymore, to attend ( thank goodness ) spread of education. , the social mobility and availability of the motor car – greater choices etc.

Who e.g actually advocates the undermining of teacher’s authority ? The controls and dumbing down of the media could also include the often equally dumb downed media like Jeff Rense , Global research , LKew Rockwell and RT etc,etc.It could mason be argues that the breaking down of the family could be pinned on e,g Liberal economic ideology or say effects of computer technology with higher unemployment etc.

In a nutshell your points are in reality are directed at anything you and EAD and others pet hates and simply don’t like !

Think about what that does to one’s spirit. To have one’s actions since primary school on permanent record for employers, friends, potential partners, people you’ve never met, to review. That’s just a small example. Compare that to past centuries of human development, books, paper, all of that.

I’ve just skimmed, there are economic, political, media dynamics happening too. Do you seriously think you can now predict how the world looks like for your grandchildren? And if not or even if so, how does that affect the most important decisions you will make in your entire life?

I’m probably wasting my time, but I’ll try to explain it to Reid one more time. You alleged that those 11 points were a long-standing agenda of the Frankfurt School to change Western society. When Ryan pointed out that agenda was of much more recent origin, you tried a switch, claiming vindication because all of those 11 things were happening now, according to you. But that wasn’t the point. To win the argument you would need to show how that agenda was promulgated decades ago and how it has been implemented.
Take your time, Reid, and think about it carefully. It is a fairly fine, but clear, point; so even you should be able to grasp it.

Reid, if you set Google to look for those keywords only before the article in March 2009 was posted, you won’t find them. The list was invented, and no one has provided any actual things written by Cultural Marxists to support their approval of the whole list, let alone a conspiracy to bring those things about.

There is a difference between claiming that the world today is a particular way, for example “continuously changing in a way that confuses people” and claiming that this is the result of a conspiracy. In fact, that list was written in 2009, so we can’t even use it to accuse the Cultural Marxists of the 50s of being prophetic.

Even if every one of those points written in 2009 were true of the world, in so far as they are descriptions (ie, not the parts that assume a conspiracy), and even if their truth were self-evident enough for you to accurately say, “Look around you!” in support of those claims, you have yet to provide any evidence of someone intentionally making them happen. Inventing the Internet to speed up change, etc.

So, for the sake of argument, let’s say that every one of those claims about the world today (or in 2009) were true.

So what? Your only evidence that this is a result of a conspiracy is a list of descriptions of the world written in 2009 by a Catholic writer who felt it necessary to invent the middle name “Shalom” for a Communist who had nothing to do with the Frankfurt School, claim he founded it, and invented a quote to attribute to him which also didn’t exist before 2009. Perhaps he thought his target audience would be more favourably inclined towards his article if they believed that the Frankfurt School was founded by a Jewish person rather than a German-Romanian.

“Huge” is a bit subjective, but as with the other points that include an assumption of intent in their wording, I see no reason to believe that some people behind the scenes are increasing immigration with the destruction of identity as their objective. That’s all I meant.

To the point, Sutherland has no right to ask the west to take migrants – and that he asks for this is an admission that many of those seeking entry to the EU and USA are not refugees. Thus the EU may well expel up to half of them as the UK suggests they should.

Leadbeater was allowed to operate the store at its present size it could lead to similar stores opening along the road which could effect soil sustainability and the vibrancy of commercial zones.

Leadbeater said down-sizing Barron Imports from its current footprint of 872sqm to fit within a 295sqm footprint was not possible and left him with two options – relocate or close.

In the Past three years Leadbeater found 12 possible sites within commercial zones, but regulations blocked each option, he said.

Leadbeater said he could not display his items outdoors and needed to bring shipping containers to the store, which were not permitted in commercial areas.

He said council staff told him if he failed to comply he could face financial penalties, including fines and regular inspections by staff to monitor his compliance which cost him $391 per visit.

The furniture and homewares store was located within the Heretanga Plains zone and the council refused to grant Leadbeater a consent for the store’s current size because it was not suited to the character of the area.
