Who says we want a new flag referendum anyway? John Key?

Not good enough a reason to change! I think you may be surprised at what the wider New Zealand public may think about this issue!

Now, I have a lot of time for J Key. But if he persists with this contentious issue he’ll do his political future irrepairable harm in my – and a number of other people’s – considered view.

I always thought he was a shrewd enough politician to be able to recognize a lost cause when it showed itself.

Our flag has Mana! Its been flown in some historic places at historic times. There is a lot of our history bound up in that flag.

I for one don’t want to see it replaced by some candy-cloured concoction dreamed up by some art-student or an ‘all-party-committee’ – (Ha!!) – or the like.

It is our flag!! New Zealanders have fought and died under that flag. Leave it alone!!

Culturally, art is very important but the production of which those on the right wing pay little attention to. They prefer to pick up the profit later in the art investment industry.

Why should Auckland citizens and ratepayers subsidise that which we no longer own or operate when it comes to private passenger transport’?

How much would be saved by ‘cutting out the contractors’ and bringing back buses and trains ‘in house’ under the ‘not for profit / public service’ model?

Where was THIS option considered by the ‘CONNED SENSELESS’ Auckland Council transport group?

Where is the ‘cost-benefit’ analysis which proves that public subsidy of privately_ owned / operated passenger transport is a more ‘cost-effective’ use of public rate payer / tax payer monies than in-house service provision?

If you are opposed to the Ports of Auckland continuing expansion into the harbour, while the lawfulness of their so doing is currently before the Court, and a thorough port study has yet to be completed and consulted upon – be there!

In my view – the sellout of Auckland Council to the Ports of Auckland ‘compromise’ – dependent upon the casting vote of Mayor Len Brown – was an absolute disgrace.

When are the Police going to act on the complaint about Len Brown’s secret electoral trust?

The first referendum is planned to be held in November or December 2015. It will ask voters to rank any number of the four design options in the Flag Consideration Panel’s shortlist.

Why only four options? why can’t I draw one and have that on there too.

I’ve got some fabulous ideas.

Is it compulsory to be an effing moron to work for councils? Seen this shit? http://www.stuff.co.nz/nelson-mail/news/68195538/fence-gap-rule-puts-children-at-risk-of-dogs-says-homeowner . Time average, common sense New Zealanders rose up and put the council bureaucrats to the sword, (so to speak). What would work is a country wide complete boycott of rates. If every person refused to pay rates, they would be stuffed as they would not have the man power nor will to fight every one in court. In other words a revolution where we en masse tell them all to Fuck Off. If that “mayoral candidate” can get away with it, so can 2 million more.

Yes it is. They often hire old time-servers (from say the military) as their inspectors. They need idiots that tow the line. No body in the Council is allowed to question anything. Subservient tossers that are only there to protect their employment conditions are what the Councils prefer. They never have anything bad to say about their fukwit chaps if you ever challenge them. They should all be shot and Steven Joyce should create a new apparatchikocracy! 🙂 🙂

It’s an in-depth insider analysis of exactly why and how it was built and what happened to take it down. It’s long but its fantastic. Must read. Part 1 ends with the investigation closing in, Part 2 starts 14 May. This is not tech only, it’s about how that tech facilitates human behaviour and circumvents regulation.

Another busy day out, so I am a little behind in what has been happening, but I see that Ms Bailey does not support McCready’s private prosecution of the PM.

Penny, in light of this information can you please kindly say if you support this prosecution going ahead and if so, why? After all, Ms Bailey appears to be an independent woman who does not require an older man unknown to her acting as a FATHER. Do you think Mr McCready is acting in a paternalistic and sexist manner in proceeding with a prosecution on behalf of a young woman who does not want him to? And if you do not support the action why have you not spoken out against this action.

Penny, if you do not answer I will conclude you support the action, and are really not morally opposed to men acting in a paternalistic manner towards women, and that you are not really a true feminist.

On the one hand we have a PM who fools around pulling pony tails without any real malice but, at the same time, with dismal awareness of the effects on the subject of his jest.

On the other hand, we have a known crook using the incident as an exercise in self-promotion, seemingly intent on displaying his wares as the newby on the prosecutorial block (he has now formed his company), intent too, on dragging the victim through the publicity that the prosecution will engender, forcing her to take a day off work and lose pay against her apparent wishes — all for the sake of his own ego.

Not hard to see who the real arse is.
