Kim Jong Un, The Dear Leader of North Korea has killed 15 of his senior officials this year. The latest poor sod, who had questioned Kim’s decisions, and fell asleep in a meeting, has been disposed of while standing in a paddock and shot at with an anti-aircraft gun!

Yeah you got to know the dude’s crazy, not because he does stuff like that, but because he’s got all the money and all the opportunity in the world, and he chooses to get his hair cut like this.

Today’s revelation from McCready that he needs more funds to continue the hounding of our Prime Minister will doubtlessly have those suffering from Key Derangement Syndrome donating the milk money to the cause. On deeper reflection they will probably lobby parliament for the necessary funds to be allocated from the Public purse since this is the socialist way.

An alternative does exist. Since the Auckland Council will soon be selling up the Publicwatchdog’s hovel to recover the rates owing perhaps she would like to pledge the residual funds to back McCready’s vendetta. In other words putting her money where her gigantic motorised mouth is.

Other news has come to hand……tomorrow morning a squadron of pigs will practise aerobatics over Waitemata Harbour.

Hardly a post since lunchtime when all the Wellingtonians found out that they were going under water.
They have all gone home from their daily chores of thinking up ways to frustrate the rest of us working and taxpaying residents of NZ.

No doubt they will all need the day off tomorrow.

Still it did rain a bit so feel a bit sorry for them.

How about the fact that last month was the first in 800,000 years the earths atmosphere had 400ppm CO2 in it.
Or the fact that the ice in the western Antarctic has melted at 4 times the rate over the last ten years than it did in the ten years prior.
How about sea level rise doubling in the last twenty five years.

In other words: did Little’s speech make any sense; yes or no, replete with various astute and penetrating points as befits someone whose paid to research all things economic and politic and summarise his findings to those of us busy with other things, in an objective, pithy and learned way.

No, none of that evident here, in any way.

Possibly if you were someone like this you might find it simply fascinating albeit far too complicated for your limited worldview, but as for the rest of us “normies,” we’re of course left bereft. Nah, the really scary thing is we have a situation not unlike the early 20th century where the boundaries between science, philosophy, and political ideology have become blurred again.

Always the prerequisite for some good times ahead, depending on if by good times we mean the rise of ideology that gets implemented at a governmental level that leads to a lot of death and suffering.

Venezuelan currency tanks; inflation seen near 100%

Over the past couple of years the value of the currency has plummeted against the dollar to its present 300 bolivar level. In 2012, a dollar would get you 10 bolivars, according to unofficial exchange rates. By the time President Nicolas Maduro was inaugurated in April 2013, it was 24 bolivars to the dollar and by this January it was at 173.

This black market rate of 300.72 on Thursday was almost 50 times the official rate set by Venezuela’s hard-line socialist government of 6.3 bolivars to the dollar.
