More fiction from KB’s Captain Bubblehead. We debated Paul being a liar, but not Paul being a false apostle.

The book of Acts relates how Paul said that he was appointed on the road to Damascus, but this contradicts Paul’s earlier account and the account of the witnesses in which Paul was told to proceed to Damascus for instructions. The argument for being a false apostle in twofold: firstly Paul lied about his appointment as an apostle, and secondly Paul meets the criteria of one of the false apostles rejected in Ephesus as described in the book of Revelation.

I’ve only just become acquainted with Major General Smedley Butler’s book “War is a racket” – published in 1935.

When ‘the fighting Quaker’ died in 1940 – he was the most highly decorated US Marine EVER.

Be interested to know what other Kiwibloggers think of this work?

In my view – it’s gob-smacking – on a number of fronts….

Ideas about divine beings that have a physical form like us don’t fit into Shawn’s head particularly well.

I am not saying i am an islamist but rather find it a tad uneasy when people are targeted and treated differently because of a very large cohort they are part of rather than treated as an individual

If course that is appalling behaviour. I am not an apologist for terrorists but rather find it lazy and xenophobic to blame a whole cohort for the terrible actions of a few – which need to be condemned. I hate the way people called James (as in Saville) have done sexual abuse but following your logic would expect all people called James to feel guilty about this

You are being illogical and simplistic. There are now enlightened Muslims (though painfully few) who are questioning why their faith has the ability to spawn extreme radicals in such numbers, and why the so called moderates aren’t demanding change. By remaining docile they merely allow their radical members to grow in strength. I do have some sympathy for those who propose Muslim immigration be halted meantime.

Its one that has been used on here frequently.
As a very much non lapsed atheist I dont find very much difference between the extremes of the Catholic church in its history and that of the modern Muslims.

Retard peasant whining about TV:

Do you know what makes me mental – I’m watching TV1 – waiting for the content to re-start. Station promo: coming up it’s programme A, then B and later on C. And then – the programme is back on and along bottom of screen ‘Now, programme A (*changes*) followed by B (*changes*)and then later on its C’.

Are you fucking kidding me or what ? You just had a station promo that says what’s coming up !! That’s insanely stupid and just . . . . stupid !!

And then another stupid moving graphic comes out of the watermark – 100 days of One. I still have no idea wtf 100 days of One is. How are those 100 days any different to the other 265 of One, huh ? I can guarantee it doesn’t mean 100 days of less crap and more content – that’s for sure. I don’t think a lot of the zombies seeing out their lives sitting on their arse parked in front of a screen will be able to tell you about any noticeable differences. Why does anyone need ‘100 days of One ?’ LIke all TV it’s a total lie anyway. Out of 100 ‘days of One’ – strip out the non-content and it’s more like 15 days of fucking One – hahahaha. And telling you about the 100 days is ironically eating up part of the 100 days – whatever the hell it is. No idea. And I don’t want to bloody know. Who’s idea was that nonsense then ? Someone had to come up with that. And they felt they had to ‘come up with something’. Anything. We can’t just play the crap programmes. There’s got to be a thing during the breaks. We need a thing. They probably spent 100 days getting nowhere. We’ve had bupkis worthwhile ideas for 100 days so far. 100 days – hmmm. Really ? Hey – why the hell not ? Perfect !!

Is it . . . 100 days of One over ‘summer’ – which is meant to be exactly 100 days long (according to TV). During the 100 days of One – it should be 100 days of taking a break from the crap on TV and getting out in the frickin nice weather. They always show you people outdoors doing some kind of activity. Funny how they never show some sad old planted git in their chair watching whatever crap is on next.

Of course the truth is is that it doesn’t matter what you know is on next or not. What matters is hitting you over the head repeatedly with it – battering you into submission. It’s not about you. It’s about beating you to death with what’s on next / tonight.

Don’t get me started on the weather updates / news updates. Sound off minimum reaction or TV off. Now let’s update your weather forecast for tomorrow. Let’s not. Fark. Off. Every frickin ad break mate.

It’s not right because I was sucked into watching TV well before all of this clutter came along – hard addiction to shake off. Very hard. Last night after a David Attenborough programme I turned it off and it stayed off. Modern TV is torture. It’s like they hate me and want to see how many more groin-twistingly painful irritations I’ll take before giving up for good. Bastards !!

SBW could well be a reason for others to convert to being a Muslim, to emulate their sports hero.
