Labour President quits

The Labour Party is looking for a new president after Moira Coatsworth confirmed will stand down in mid-December, giving the party new leaders in and outside Parliament.

New party leader Andrew Little said Coatsworth left in good standing with Labour.

He would not name a front-runner and said nominations had not yet opened.

Front-runners? from what I hear the possible contenders are running in the other direction! Does anyone want the job?

They could do a lot worse than bring back Mike Williams – but perhaps as General Secretary, rather than President this time. He is a very good organiser.
