Debate criteria is what media try to dictate to suit their perception on entertainment value, it is not based on democratic fairness.

No, they base their criteria on their political leanings. This is because many political journalists do it for their cause. They hide behind their profession’s reputation of being neutral but they often go into the profession simply to push their cause. Let’s face it. Most people in TVNZ’s newsroom would never have employed Hoskings. How he was is a mystery. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Joyce had certain words in certain people’s ears.

How else do you explain years and decades of lefty after lefty after bimbo after lefty after screeching lefty being appointed to front all of TVNZ’s programs until this outlier of an appointment, coming as it did with a curiously coincidental scandal of a certain someone booking meeting rooms for his fav?

Ugly, you have claimed that Palestinians are often descendants of Jews as the DNA shows this. There is a northern Semite DNA Y chromosome marker that many have in common with Jews of Israel. It goes back to about 2000BCE. It indicates descent from Jews and or “Ishmael”.

However this northern DNA Y chromosome marker is found mostly in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria amongst those speaking Arabic and thus known as Arabs – but for the rest of the Arab world it is not there. There is an entirely separate southern Semite or Arab of Arabia DNA (now more widespread because of the spread of Islam by Arab armies). This southern DNA separated from the northern about 5000BCE.

So there is no indication that Arab DNA itself is from Ishmael.

The fact is, once you define Arab as someone who speaks Arabic and lives amongst others who speak Arabic, the term has no meaning as per ancestry.

Your problem in claiming that

Not your call, my brother. I’ve explained in detail why I say the things I say about zionists and Jews and principal amongst those is that its their leaders who are leading them astray, but you’ve been blind to that distinction and have alleged many times that I make no such such distinction but rather hold all our brother Jews to account for the crimes of their leaders.

Possibly there is the odd time I haven’t made that distinction clear but people like nasska have certainly picked it up over the years so I would have expected a brother making a serious allegation such as you make all the time against me would have been more careful and would have researched my comments covering past similar periods such as over Operation Cast Lead which would have given you evidence either way.

But you haven’t done that.

I apologise for calling you hammer boy which, as you know, is in reference to this propensity you have displayed in leaping to conclusions and extrapolating your analysis that “a person who says x must believe y therefore this person believes y.”

I recognise of course like all people you have much more subtle thought patterns than that. And there is no excuse for that behaviour so I do apologise and I hope you forgive me in your own time over that calculated insult.

The way I see it Shawn, all Christians are gifted. I happen to have the gift of deliverance. For non-Christians, this is the ability to see spiritual machinations in the material world. It’s not a common gift. It’s not that rare, but it’s not common.

Which is fine. I’m used to it. And, BTW, I’m always prepared to accept I’m wrong. Of course I am. Provided I’m discussing the issue with someone who’s as up to speed with it as much as I am. And that’s the critical part. Very few are. I can count them on one hand. Joseph Erhlich is one. He’s written a book called Clarity. Amongst others. Read it.

Because of my lifelong interest in the eternal sea: politics; my perceptions in exercising my gift in this field are inevitably macro not micro. And since the “customary” macro view is what happens on the 6 o’clock news until told otherwise, naturally this conflicts with accepted opinion.

I don’t know how Reid evaluates the claims. My argument for a close relationship between the dispensationalist Christians and the Zionists would be the common element of Pharasaism. I don’t mean to say that all Christians are hypocrites or all Rabbinical Jews are hypocrites, only that there is a common doctrinal base which is characterised by the politicization of religion, which naturally connects to political Zionism.

By language. Rothschild means red shield, and Edom means red. A shield is something a warrior uses, and Esau aka Edom had status as a warrior. The element of language comes from the king of Babylon who was killed by Esau, with Babylon being the origin of the confusion of language.

Shawn this suggested conversation or series of conversations is not to discuss specific point issues with respect to who is right and who is wrong but rather eventually to discover a way we can mutually exist here without tearing each other apart in public.

I’m not certain that’s going to be possible over the phone, but it’s all we have and it gives us a private discussion channel to air our thoughts so it’s worth a try.

One thing I’m not prepared to do is leave this fora simply because you are here but I’m also not prepared to continue displaying our disagreements in the way we have because its unseemly, hence this proposal.

If you’re interested it’d be good if you could indicate a timeband when you’re thinking of calling so I can make sure I’m home.

Religion can be about attaining self knowledge and self improvement and evolving a higher consciousness and bridging the gap that so obviously exists between the flesh and any deity.

However it is a fact that any deity has chosen to hide itself from man, one can surmise that this is to enable free will for us in a human ruled dominion.

Religion is left with the eternal ideal and the ideal eternal related to an abstract love of creator. In the east they separate this from the abstract love of creator because they conflate the created universe itself with God, rather than creation of God, the western tradition. Though Christianity allows creation as a son of God from God.

It isn’t the only way. Theists can co-exist with each other and non-believers through actual knowledge rather than purely imagined (ie fictional) knowledge. While it isn’t always straightforward to distinguish between knowledge and belief, our ability to test our beliefs against reality makes it possible to attain such knowledge, in much the same way that science tests theories about the laws of nature.

d4j, one of the wisest things I’ve ever heard and which I try to live by to an increasingly adherent degree is this:

It’s not what happens to you it’s how you treat what happens to you.

This is the key not to happiness, but to avoiding unhappiness. Fuck em. That’s the lesson. But fuck em without hate, without rancour, without wishing ill on them, just ignore their little games, for at the end of the day, in the wider scheme of things, that’s all they are.

To a greater or lessor extent that’s both really hard and really easy to do. Really hard when it involves your whole being and really easy because in reality the switch to that is in your own mind and it always has been and it can never be removed from your mind and therefore from your control.

Extreme examples of this principal in action are things like those beautiful art works that emerged from conditions of extreme stress where there was no hope yet still humans that were being managed to produce works that went beyond the squalor, the torture, the horror, the fear and which are beautiful, peaceful and which transcend the conditions in which they were currently living.

That’s the key d4j and it’s open to us all to unlock if we take it up, which is not easy, is not without set backs, but it is in the end, the right and the only way. Take care my friend.

I should state that I see demonstration of this in equal status to each person whatever their religious status.

By this test what knowledge can have you that this could one day be possible? Faith that it could be so?

Theist’s belief in the identity of the righteous being known by their religion and ultimate judgment of the righteous of the unrighteous generally leads them to discriminate against others in a way that precludes the equality of all individuals.

As for the belief of some that the deity acts in the world.

Some believe that it does through them, their actions and their cause, and often this becomes murderous. Then there is the belief in the power of faith itself and that this of itself it is a witness to the deity acting in the world – if only through their faith. But there will never be any evidence in the world that it is any deity acting in these instances, just the belief that the deity was somehow present with them. And yes they will claim this is their knowledge – but such “knowledge” cannot be objective, only subjective.

Thus the theist will say the unbeliever is not aware of the deity acting in the world whereas the fellow believer will claim knowledge of this.

Given all believers have to trust in the religions built by the lies of men (and which slander deity as a mass murderer of creation), their claim of any subsequent valid knowledge of deity separate from this religious belief is questionable.

Because their co-existence is without order. Put a Jew, a Muslim, and Christian, and an atheist in the same house and watch it all turn to custard when they’ve got to face real problems. Give them their own space and suddenly they’re not confronted with beliefs and behaviour which they find meaningless or offensive.

I should state that I see demonstration of this in equal status to each person whatever their religious status.

Religion can involve the removal of the constraints of personhood, the diminshed status resulting from an obligation to the state.

By this test what knowledge can have you that this could one day be possible? Faith that it could be so?

It’s a simple matter of logic, total segregation makes inter-group conflict impossible. In the most extreme case of segregation, a non-aggression pact or treaty would exist between communities or nations along with the stipulation that anyone who has an incompatible religion is to be refused admission or to be deported.

Jamie White has this ridiculous notion that property is some sort of natural thing that owns the allegiance and respect of all but the faulty who should be put out of sight and into prisons. Property is not this. It is a compact between people to value some whatever at some set value. When the compact fails so too does the respect for property. Any country like NZ with the second highest incarceration rate in the OECD has a problem in that a significant proportion of the population fall outside the compact. Challenging the right of people to exist outside the compact by incarceration and other bullying tactics can only exacerbate the problem and further undermine respect for property. A compact is something that free people enter into of their own accord. A dictatorship fails as a system for state, as a guide to interpersonal relationships, and therefore as a means to guarantee a compact.
