If ever there was a case that is going to turn public opinion strongly against gangs, it is the Mellory Manning murder trial. I detest gangs with a passion; they have no legitimate purpose. And those politicians who argued against bans on gang patches in public places should reflect on the allegation that Mauha Fawcett killed Ms Manning so that he could earn his Mongrel Mob patch.

A new “non political party” activist group called ActionStation is advertising for a Nationsl Campaign Manager and have plans to employ more leading up to the election. Seems like they have some good funding.

They just happen to have people and policies in common with the Greens (and “zero carbon” Generation Zero), there Director was the Green National Campaign Mamanger at the last election, and the job has been promoted by Metiria Turei.

On the one hand we stop them leaving the country and on the other we keep importing them.

Madness.

I’d like to see some indepth ,investigative journalism on just who these people are. Won’t get it though as that would be “racist” or some such.

I disagree with you. It wouild not have been difficult for one police officer to visit that Worcester Street house earlier in the day and suggest (!) that things must be quiet later on or the consequences will be serious. That police officer should have pleaded with the people there to not force the Police’s hand.
Then, when that polite request is ignored, the heavy artillery should be sent in.
It would appear that in this case the police did nothing until the situation was awful; then had to do plenty.

Winston Peters is being less than honest though because my sources tell me that last year he did go out to the Dotcom Mansion at least three times.

Winston Peters has also made much pf parliamentary privilege to allege all sorts of claims against John Key…after at least three visits to the mansion I imagine he has more to spin.

What is more concerning though is that Kim Dotcom thinks he can influence and buy off politicians at the drop of a hat. He donates money to John Banks, and seeks favours. Russel Norman visits and now he announces he is not in favour of our extradition treaties, Winston Peters visits at least three times and now he is pushing Dotcom’s agenda from parliament.

kowtow, NZ’s immigration policy is another issue altogether. My concern, as best articulated by Paul Buchanan, is that Key shot from the mouth without thinking through the implications. The PM should not be giving public insights into the operations of our spy agencies.

The case in question proves that. Prostitution ,totally legal yet they are making money on a protection racket that Timmy said would magically go away with his bill.

And what drugs ? Even if some were decriminalised,cannabis for example ,the gangs would still stay involved in selling it to the under aged and in manufacturing and distributing drugs that will never be decriminalised such as methamphetamines.

The war on drugs is not working because it is not being pursued vigorously enough.Also the media and other agencies are on the side of the traffickers glamorising it etc Schappelle Corby.

Hey folks

I am glad my first post provoked, it was meant to. Last weekend I heard some very distressing accounts of children and babies being literally raped, tortured and killed. It made me sick and fuelled my already racist heart. To give an example one little girl of two was picked up like a bowling ball by both her piece of shit mother and a piece of shit male. CYFS either couldn’t or wouldn’t do anything to help this little girl. I don’t know where the girl is now, in a living hell is my guess.

In my view the greens, labour, mana left are on the side of the scum who perpetrate such crimes because they vote. The surviving children will undoubtedly grow to be like the parent and of course vote the left.

Too many sleepless nights for flash I’m afraid. Can’t wait until I am next called for jury duty.

I will have a look at comments tonight after work.

When is this National Government going to throw the obese German criminal on a plane with his extradition papers? This felon is interfering in both our political and legal systems with intention of gaining citizenship. He must go, and go now.
When is the Lecher from Auckland going to be put in another embarrassing situation, it is about time, he is getting an armchair ride currently by print, radio and television media. Some outlets are even letting their left wing bias start ruling, holding him in esteem . . . it is sick!

With Act, Greens and NZ First all now connected to Dotcom (Labour?) this has serious political and judicial implications in relation to Dotcom’s extradition and to anything related to the GCSB.

I put it to Peter Dunne and he responded “I have neither been invited nor gone to any meeting with Dotcom!”

He confirmed this publicly on Twitter: “For the record, I have not joined this homage queue.”

@ igm – sensibly, the National-led Government is leaving the matter of whether or not Dotcom should be extradited to the Courts, as they absolutely should. I have just blogged on a story which hasn’t as yet been widely reported other than by 3News; that a Labour/Green government would give strong consideration to overturning any court-ordered extradition order on Dotcom.

Effectively, if you want Dotcom to stay in New Zealand, vote for David or Russel & Metiria.

KS. I doubt we will get the true picture with the Mellory Manning case. No doubt this guy, who has given at least 4 different stories is involved but I doubt we will ever know to what extent. The mob and others have a long history of ‘getting’ recruits to ‘own up’ in order to take the heat off and protect others. As for arguments about the legalisation of prostitution and so on, at this point it looks like Mellory was going to lose her life whether prostitution was legal or not. ‘Taxing’ has been going on for decades in what ever form the perps can get away with. We may find out, but I think there might have been an enormous disconnection between what is learnt in Court that happened and what really went down. Although the distinction might not be readily apparent, if it’s true the mob were after money, or more likely some of the members acting individually – there is a big difference between than and where this case went. I doubt there is a plan along the lines of if such and such doesn’t pay we will rape and kill her before throwing her body in the river and all which has followed that. There may have been a ‘we’ll start leaning on the street workers and taxing them,’ the problem being a group, disorganised, harbouring psychos and deviants of various descriptions with possibly an amassed iq rating in single figures being a recipe for disaster. I’d be interested to learn of what support was available to Mellory and if she sought help. I’m sure the majority would consider the police well capable of having been able to help her if it had come to their attention, however she may have been a person unwilling to go to police, or alternatively Fawcett could be entirely full of it both with his admissions and denials.

There was a case like this in Auckland about 15 years ago where it seemed an accurate picture emerged and the defendant, Stone, I think his name was, was convicted, on evidence that seemed reliable and not filtered by the machinations of someone trying to escape culpability.

The problem with the legalisation of prostitution is that it wasn’t thought through properly, the idea behind the law is correct, but it should have criminalised street workers. People working from home or commercial premises cause no problems, people on the street do, and they expose themselves to harm like in this case.

Police enforcement of the laws is very light, Auckland has ~500 asian escorts, the vast majority of the working illegally on non resident class visas.

NZ should adopt a Queensland style solution, in the last 6 months they’ve launched a full scale war against bikie gangs, with the tax authorities and police working hand in glove.

And Patrick Gower makes it clear why Dotcom wants National out and Labour/Greens/NZ First in – they may save his bacon.

Norman opposing any Dotcom extradition “I’ve always said I don’t support the extradition process.”

And Cunliffe with his usual Yeah, nah.
“I haven’t formed a view on that yet and I’d want to see more of the arguments. Prima Facie the current Government’s opposition against Mr Dotcom appears to be outside the law in a number of respects my anticipation is that would make it quite difficult for an extradition to proceed.”

Gower: “A Labour-Green government could potentially free Dotcom.”

Which brings me to the folly of Dotcom’s Internet Party – having a political movement behind him will obviously be another argument against extradition.

While it polled 0% in the first 3 News-Reid Research poll since it was named, when asked specifically, 1 in 5 voters said they would “consider” voting for it.

Most of its potential voters come from “undecideds” or Labour/Greens/NZ First – technically the Opposition.

But with Dotcom incredibly unlikely to make 5% or win an electorate seat, then this will be what’s called “wasted vote”, rather than change the Government.

And that favours one person – John Key.

It seems a bit of a selfish political own goal by Dotcom to me, and is why Russel Norman has been scurrying up to the mansion begging Dotcom not to stand.

But what a delicious irony: Kim Dotcom might actually help John Key win the 2014 election.

There wasn’t much taxing in NZ as prostitutes were protected to some degree by the police.

Prostitutes had to submit their ID at the local police station and put on a register what massage parlor they were going to work in and under what name, the police [vice squad] then did checks on the parlors to see that only ‘registered’ people worked there. Gangs and the like had no real involvement in massage parlors because the police ‘policed them as much as they legally could’ and prostitutes then saw massage parlors as being of relative safety. If they didn’t notify the police….well then…..And that is how the heroin tree got shook in the Mr Asia days.

Bank fee fight widens to ASB, BNZ, Westpac

A class action group fighting allegedly unfair bank fees has announced it will sue ASB, BNZ and Westpac this month.

Fair Play on Fees has already commenced legal action against ANZ, the country’s biggest bank, and Kiwibank, which is owned by the state.

More than 38,800 New Zealanders have signed up to the lawsuit so far.

I live there. The drag net is far too big…..they stop EVERYONE who rides a Harley ect, they stop Sunday convoys of innocent riders then check everyone and every bike on the ride, which means that they either have to wait up to an hour on the side of the road in 30+ heat or then ride on seperately.

The best way to take the gangs down quickly and permantly is to crack down on all the customers who buy drugs. NSW puts drug dogs through train stations, gay nite clubs, public bars, malls, parks ect. It hits the gangs in their pockets.

So let’s put it in context; since 1992 the Crown has settled around a billion dollars worth of claims – that’s around 50 million dollars a year in value.

Currently the Government is borrowing 78 million dollars a month as part of its fiscal policy. And last year it spent 10.2 billion dollars on superannuation alone.

That’s 10 times to totality of all the money spent on Treaty deals. So in terms of what the Government is doing settlement costs are a very small drop in a very large bucket.

It’s something to think about if our National Day makes you want to lose your rag.

I thought the photo op. body language between the Obamas was revealing at the Mandela memorial service, and then Michelle staying on in Hawaii alone for a few weeks for her 50th ‘with friends’ while the president looked after the girls, was odd.. I said then, I felt something was up. I hope not, but these things – if true – never lay hidden, ala Clinton.

Labour leader David Cunliffe’s chief of staff Wendy Brandon has resigned five months into the job, citing ill health.

Ms Brandon was a respected Auckland lawyer before taking up the role in Mr Cunliffe’s office last September.

Sources said Labour’s caucus and staff were told today she had resigned because of a serious case of shingles.

Ms Brandon has been on leave for several weeks because of the illness.

So according to a new book which has taken 10 years to write and was ‘compiled with the help of Arabic-speaking students’, the Koran says nothing about Israel belonging to the Muslims; in fact, The Koran says Israel belongs to the Jews.

Middle Eastern affairs professor Nissim Dana spoke to Arutz Sheva Monday about his upcoming book, To Whom Does This Land Belong?: New Insights into the Koran, and revealed that Islam absolutely does not have a claim to the Land of Israel – even by its own standards.

The Professor explained that the new book, published by the Bialik Institute and Ariel University, reveals several more insights into the Koran that remain unknown to the average Muslim and even some Muslim religious leaders.

Dana noted that top Islamic figures, such as Sheikh Yusuf Al Qaradawi, have embarked on a fierce campaign to separate the Jewish people from their rightful homeland and claim that Muslims have a sacred right to the Land of Israel.

However, Professor Dana noted, Al Qaradawi’s efforts defy the Koran itself. Israel is mentioned eight times, according to the Professor, and there is not a single mention that it belongs to Arabs or Muslims. “Whenever there is a reference to the Land of Israel and to whom it belongs, the Koran points to the Jewish people,” Professor Dana explained.

Dana pointed to Koran 7:7, where G-d Himself bequeaths the Land of Israel to the Jews, as a nation who thought themselves weak, and blesses them with goodness. The “weakness,” according to Dana, is a reference to the Torah’s incident with the Spies in Bamidbar (Numbers), where Israel’s representatives hesitate to go into the land out of fear.

As for the argument that the Land of Israel was originally intended for the Jews, but G-d switched allegiances to Islam, Dana notes that there is no source in the Koran for such a statement. He adds a source in the fifth chapter of the Islamic holy text whereby Mohammed says on his deathbed that returning to the Land of Israel is impossible in and of itself, because G-d placed in Moses’s mouth the declaration that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people.

He backs up his argument with proof from one of the greatest and well-known commentators on the Koran who sought to determine where Israel’s borders are for the Jewish people on the basis of the Koran and determined that, according to Islam, the Jewish people are privy to land between the Nile and the Euphrates.

Dana noted that his book took over ten years to write and was compiled with the help of Arabic-speaking students who knew the language and its sources well. Most Muslims do not have deep knowledge of the Koran itself, he noted, and thus their beliefs about the Jewish people and the Land of Israel are dependent mostly on their leaders.

Very recently a baby was taken from its mother because she had previously been involved in an abuse case. She is not to be trusted. Should she be allowed to keep and raise her baby when demonstrably there is a risk? The past.

You can say the two in the House today are “banging on about the past” but Dunne demonstrably has failed to show he can be trusted. He is in such a position of political importance for Mr Key his past doesn’t matter. That may not be corruption but it suggests there is something rotten when people in their positions have that level of integrity. Worse is that people support what they are doing and don’t hold them to account. (While of course being prepared to raise merry hell over some down-and-out beneficiary for the hint of any wrong doing.)

This is just the tip of the iceberg and if ignored or in your case defended more babies, children and lets not forget the elderly will be abused and/or murdered. If you get a chance talk to someone who actually deals with such events, I guarantee you will change your mind somewhat.

Yes I am a racist, I make no apologies for that fact but it makes no difference to the fact that our country has a serious problem. When you go to your doctor due to illness, are you not diagnosed first? then some form of medication is prescribed, yes? Well a reasonable diagnosis for our horrendous child abuse statistics is that probably around 90% of it is perpetrated by some members of a race numbering 14% of our population; all of whom exist on welfare.

Now we know the problem, let us target the cure. Obviously throwing money at it only makes it worse.

Bye the way my wife was Maori and she understood my sentiments well. I’m still a racist though. Who isn’t?

People often ask for an explanation of “Marketing.”

You’re a woman and you see a handsome guy at a party. You go up
to him and say, “I’m fantastic in bed.”
That’s Direct Marketing.

You’re at a party with a bunch of friends and see a handsome
guy. One of your friends goes up to him and pointing at you
says, “She’s fantastic in bed.”
That’s Advertising.

You see a handsome guy at a party. You go up to him and
get his telephone number. The next day you call and say,
“Hi, I’m fantastic in bed.”
That’s Telemarketing.

You see a guy at a party, you straighten your dress. You walk
up to him and pour him a drink. You say, “May I,” and reach up
to straighten his tie, brushing your breast against his
arm, and then say, “By the way, I’m fantastic in bed.”
That’s Public Relations.

You’re at a party and see a handsome guy. He walks up to you
and says, I hear you’re fantastic in bed,”
That’s Brand Recognition.

You’re at a party and see a handsome guy. He fancies you, but
you talk him into going home with your friend.
That’s a Sales Rep.

Your friend can’t satisfy him so she calls you.
That’s Tech Support.

You see two great looking brothers at a party.
You decide to take them both home.
That’s a 2 for 1 sale.

You’re on your way to a party when you realize that there
could be handsome men in all these houses you’re passing. So
you climb onto the roof of one situated towards the centre and
shout at the top of your lungs, “I’m fantastic in bed!” .
That’s spam.

You’re at a party when a gay fellow starts to chat you up so you tell him how much nasska would like to meet him and then you fuck off. That’s false advertising and a lucky escape! 🙂
