Labour robo-calling in Christchurch East
Spies are reporting that Labour have been using robo-calling in Christchurch East and the calls are not going down well.
I am not a fan of robo-calling. I think its pisses off more people than it persuades. In some countries there is a political culture that accepts it, but not in NZ.
I think it works in the US because people are more removed from their politicians. When you get a robocall in the voice of say Bill Clinton, you may find it vaguely exciting. But I can’t see that anyone in NZ likes getting a robo-call from a NZ politician.
UPDATE: Ruth Dyson has tweeted Labour are not robo calling in Christchurch East. I will check with my source but of course accept what Ruth has said.
