It’s scary how outdated this graphic is. Calling internet provider or your friends to ask if their internet is down? I’m using VOIP. Watch TV? Don’t have one. Play a movie? Netflix is down! Read a book? Everything on my Kindle is already read, and can’t buy a new book, as “the internet is down!”

I’m sure that I’m going to find out (again) what it is like to lose the internet & contact with the world when the Southerly hits us. Having Powerco owning the local electricity distribution network means that you spend much of the winter with the same benefits of modern living as the Amish.

Number 11 – amen!

If we hadn’t been able to use my (Telecom) 3G mobile phone as a wifi hotspot when our Woosh.co.nz broadband failed (YET AGAIN) we wouldn’t have been able to pay our rates bill on time….

I am only pointing out that Farrar as a NZ Nat person, gives himself more priviledge than the PM.
He censors comments regularly and it is a disgrace to his positon within NZ Nat.
If I write to the PM or Minister I get a reply.
I do not get told that I have no right to question or think.
I do not get put down by sycophant redneck vacants.
I do not get demerit points as a New Zealander.

I think the writing style frequently unmasks anyone deranged enough that they want (no, NEED) to continue commenting while banned…?

People may assume that the brothers replies here are antagonistic to Farrar, and ourside the boundary but they are not.
The subject matter here is trivial about internet access.
The interjections here simply point out that Farrar censors comments, but Farrar is also a national forum of opinion.
I require that Farrar be more open in his column and not censor unfairly.
If he will not do this then the Nat party will find another spruiker Farrar
This is a NZ Nat party site and we should be able to write what we wish, after all as has been pointed out, Farrar has dozens of vacuous Nat party minions to back him.
Censorship of iopposing opinion will not bw tolerated Farrar.

Step 18. Go to your local library and use their computers
Step 19. Take your laptop for a walk and see how many unsecured routers you can tap into
Step 20. Go to your local mall and take advantage of the free wi fi on offer from numerous providers i.e. Macdonald’s.
