Last year someone from the GCSB leaked to David Shearer with a claim there was evidence that never surfaced.

Recently someone leaked to Winston Peters with a claim there was evidence that never surfaced.

In both cases it seems that damaging the National Government was the intent, or at least an obvious consequence. The difference this time is that Dunne was either another target or just collateral damage.

Peters and Shearer leaks have similarities

This could be far more serious than just the doing in of Dunne.

Black men — other than educated elites — have tended to have been treated pretty shabbily by the politically correct elite establishment, especially when they insist on speaking their own minds.
Note also that since the 1960s most social spending has been concentrated on programs for women and children. Black women with college degrees now far outnumber black men with college degrees. Unemployment remains a huge problem for black men as does the continuing decline of stable, intact families.
One does not have to read very deeply in publication aimed at black audiences to see that the culture wide war on men can be waged with particular nastiness in parts of the black community, due in large part to the disparity in education and career prospects between men and women. While they constantly bemoan the lack of well educated, employed and thus “marriageable” black men, the black women in these publications seldom, if ever, consider reforming a system that has bestowed them with both credentials and highly paid, secure jobs, often on the government payroll.

In the 1940s and 50s, largely young black males in the civil rights movement would ask their elders what has 80 years of loyal support for the party of Lincoln actually gotten our people?
The answer too often was a lot of patronizing lip service and not much else ever since a war weary North abandoned Southern Reconstruction and allowed the establishment of Jim Crow.

Now we seem to have other black men asking what 60 years of solid support for the Democrats has gotten black voters. And they don’t like the answer — dependency on a government more interested in retaining power than in genuinely helping people.

Or Labour & Labour-lite and their ‘poverty striken brown party members’ 😎

Desperate attempts by the desperate – nothing more than what was expected.
That article is so full of factual errors it is difficult to know where to begin.
Robin Bain had bruises and scratches on his hands, as well as the residue marks left by the magazine.
The bruising etc is evident in Dr Dempster’s photos and has been known about for years.

Whoever wrote that should slap themselves around a bit until they reach a level of reality.

Okay – so lets see you refute the evidence then. Perhaps offer some realistic explanations for what those marks were, if they weren’t from loading the magazine?

We know they weren’t scratches or cuts, because the skin was not broken.
We know they were the same colour as gunshot residue
We know they sat on the skin not ‘in’ the skin, and that they were achieved by pressure on some surface.
We know David didn’t know about them, because if he had, he would have used them for his defense years ago.
We know the substance was such that it had disappeared by the time Dr Dempster did his examination, and therefore it was not something that would have been received the day or even night before.
We know the measurement between the lines fits exactly with the magazine.
and so on.

Perhaps you could share what you know, that makes the obvious not so?

Dunno Judith, but a) I’m not going to place much confidence in the accuracy of a measurement from an old photograph, unless there was something (like a ruler) also in the photograph to give a decent reference and b) this is the only (only!) thing that the Bain camp has beyond vague character assassination of the last of David’s victims and far-fetched explanations for all the evidence that points to David.

Remember all that stuff about the rules for weighing up circumstantial evidence? I might suggest you look at it again, should be easy given that you’ve only the one piece to weigh.

Seeing Things That Are Not There (For Long)

While in China, an American is very sexually promiscuous and does not use a condom. A week after arriving back home in the States, he wakes one morning to find his penis covered with bright green and purple spots. Horrified, he immediately goes to see a doctor. The doctor, never having seen anything like this before, orders some tests and tells the man to return in two days for the results.

The man returns a couple of days later and the doctor says, ‘I’ve got bad news for you, you’ve contracted Mongolian VD. It’s very rare and almost unheard of here in the US, we know very little about it.’

The man looks a little perplexed and says, ‘Well, give me a shot or something and fix me up, Doc.’ The doctor answers, ‘I’m sorry, there’s no known cure. We’re going to have to amputate your penis.’

The man screams in horror, ‘Absolutely not! I want a second opinion!!!’ The doctor replies, ‘Well, it’s your choice. Go ahead, if you want, but surgery is your only option.’ The next day, the man seeks out a Chinese doctor, figuring that he’ll know more about the disease.

The Chinese doctor examines his penis and proclaims, ‘Ah, yes, Mongolian VD. Very ware disease.’

The guy says to the doctor, ‘Yeah, yeah, I already know that, but what can we do? My American doctor wants to cut off my penis!’

The Chinese doctor shakes his head and laughs. ‘Stupid American doctor, always want operate. Make more money that way. No need to amputate!’

‘Oh, thank God!’ the man exclaims.

‘Yes,’ says the Chinese doctor. ‘Wait two week. Fall off by itself…!’

I got one! After shooting his father, David arranged the scene with the rifle, pressed the magazine against Robin’s thumb to leave the marks and then placed the mag (on it’s edge, as it never would have landed if dropped) beside Robin’s hand and went off to wash his clothes that were soaked in his brother’s blood.

How’s that?

I did not watch the whole show but what I saw was significant. The idea that David “planted” the marks is unrealistic because, as Judith says, it would have come to life years ago.

If they are not magazine marks, what are they? Is there any other explanation than that given? Was the crown given time for informed comment?

I will wait for any counter-argument but assuming the evidence and inferences to be correct (which I am not necessarily prepared to do at this stage) it will make the government reflect a little more deeply on the matter.

James S makes a very valid point about viewing the totality of the evidence and not focussing on one as yet untested fact.

Secondly:
There is a lot of evidence that points to Robin Bain being the killer that does not involve the fact his daughter/s disclosed incest or that is character destroying (although it is a little bit difficult to show how a man killed his family, without destroying his character).

For starters, perhaps you would care to explain the blood splatter evidence on Robin and the position he was in when the fatal shot was applied?
Then you might like to explain using Baynesian theory, how all the stats from evidence support suicide by a far greater than they support being shot by someone else?
And that is just for starters, after that you could perhaps explain the wounds on his hands, his previous use of the weapon and so on….

You are stretching the truth a very long way to say there is no other evidence against Robin.

What a load of silly pommey tosh on TV 3 last night re Tamoxofen and double mastectomies..They acted as if Tamoxofen was something new , some huge break through..And the patronising , ugly old git said he thought woman wouldn’t mind the side effects..I thought we had suddenly slipped back into the 1950s. NZ women have been minding the side effects for some time..They take this drug for five years after breast cancer treatment and are usually so glad when the five years are up.
Was it really some anti Angelina Jolie campaign???..Who would know..it was so bizarre and so old fashioned..I pity English women if this is how they are treated..
Then the big joyful clanger at the end..Tamoxofen costs 120 pound , a mastectomy costs ten thousand..Why does a mastectomy cost so much? Because of the greed of silly old tossers like the one doing the rant.
Perhaps it was really a story about budget advice…?? I give up
Thank God most male doctors in NZ seem to be alive and well in 2013.

Both the Police and Crown Forensic experts who had been involved in the case were at the recent testing. They have not made any comment, which if there was something to say that would refute the claims being made, they certainly would have by now. They have had plenty of opportunity.

And so, David sat through two trials, and many long years in prison and waited until someone else discovered the evidence that would have cleared him 20 years ago?

He was shown those photos over and over, and had plenty of opportunity to raise awareness to those marks, but never did?
Now why would he go to the trouble of setting the scene to implicate his father, and then not do exactly that by drawing attention to it?

Sorry – that’s a fail for you!

Would it…? If David had planted the marks he would have been assuming the Police would have found them as a matter of course…that they didn’t due to seriously sloppy work may have nixed that plan and David could not then try to bring them to anyone’s attention as that would look suss as hell for him…

The marks on Robin’s thumb don’t look anything like the smudges produced in the experiment. Quite different. I picked out A008 from the other photographs immediately. 1. Marks look like trauma. A small very dark spot that looks like blood in/under the skin. 2. The lines are not parallel. Although my depth perception is described by my ophthalmologist as “exceptional” I await the opinion of an independent forensic scientist.

Look above the ring finger on the palm. Two similar marks, lines about the same distance apart. There are marks all over the hands. Hope there are lots of photos too.

I am expected to believe that the pathologist, who walked into a scene that was thought by the police at the time to be suicide, saw the clip next to the hand but didn’t notice the gunshot residue (GSR)?

There is only one “smoking gun”. Robin almost certainly would have held the rifle by the muzzle to guide it to his temple. (He wouldn’t have wanted to mess up.) Robin’s prints are not there, but Stephen’s are. Two pristine sets. Even if for some strange reason the rifle accepted Stephen’s but not Robin’s, why are Stephen’s pristine prints not smudged?

The scene looks like the clip was placed to make it look as if it fell from Robin’s hand. Why and how would he hold the clip? If he placed it himself, why under a low table? Why not on the table or just drop it?

While popping out to the hole-in-the-wall for a coffee, I read a breathless news headline announcing how Rudd had sought “revenge” on a “female” PM.

This sort of anti male/females are victims mentality is so ingrained and normalised that I suspect no one noticed or cared. She is not a victim of anything beyond her own lack of ability and integrity. She was the most powerful person in Australia and is not a victim of a males revenge.

Oh thank god! there is a separate bain thread.

Dime was having dinner with family last night and the TV1 news was on. I would never watch this but I thought id give it a go.

I missed the full sory about NZ Post but they gave 2 or 3 recaps during the show.

The recap – 500 jobs to go at nz post. no mention of the 380 or so jobs they are creating elsewhere. To me that is just outright deception. disgraceful sensationalism.

Conservatives will stand and fight. They will debate. Not Progressives.

I am coming more and more to the realisation that the underlying basis of Progressivism is cowardice, in that there is hardly a one here on this blog who will conduct themselves with any kind of honour or self respect. They will not fight on the issues. They will all lie and smear and divert at the drop of a hat. And worse, they just do not care about such deceit and such cowardice. They laugh and consider themselves funny and smart and smugly declare themselves as victors, when in most cases they have contributed nothing but untruth and that by means of a complete lack of personal integrity. Such odious behaviour and so widespread it is despairing. A great divide in our country, the brave and the cowardly.

A government spokesman said individuals whose presence “is not conducive to the public good” could be excluded by the home secretary. He added: “We condemn all those whose behaviours and views run counter to our shared values and will not stand for extremism in any form.”

Monsanto enjoying the usual role of holding hands with corporate planners and peanut butter sandwich eaters at the U.N. is now buying up organic seed companies with the new push on by Americans to buy organic seed. (Yeah some are beginning to notice). There are a few seed companies they have not engulfed and it might be wise to look into buying your seeds from them. There are a few things that can be done other than speculating on which country will be invaded next or where the next drone strike will be. They are (dead set) on reducing the population.

Waking times has listed some seed companies worth taking a look at. Monsanto has bought up Semminis so they no longer exist for me. Back in 2005 Monsanto grabbed 40% of the organic seed market. wakingtimes

I have never used any such device, and that you would constantly make this untrue smear is yet another example of the vacuous cowardice that is so common to your contributions to this forum.

It is not debating any real political issue. It is as I said above, a device to divert from the issues and force me to defend myself against a completely false allegation. Straight out of Joseph Stalin’s Russia and his kanagaroo courts.

Not only does it demonstrate cowardice and a lack of integrity, such a false allegation reveals your own insecurity in your oft expressed progressive belief that your ideas meet with general apporoval and those who oppose them are small in number and isolated.

That I so completely oppose you, and at the same time receive a large degree of support from lurkers and others is something that threatens your fragile ego, so you must do all you can to reject that reality. So you made up the lie that I was up voting myself.

As I said, just dishonourable lying smearing cowards, why our country is in the shitter, and why we may never climb out of it without some significant internal confrontation.

Many people can contribute here without the need for smears and lies, and I am pleased to say that in most cases these people are my supporters. I’ve always made it clear I comment independently and I have never been under any instruction from any politician. I sometimes ask Dunne questions and he usually gives me an answer, our communication is rarely different to that. I sometimes ask other politicians questions too, and sometimes get replies.

I have not talked to any politician about the Bain case, that was a pathetic accusation, completely without foundation, and totally false. So it has to be seen as an attempted smear typical of dirty politics.

If you disagree with what I say then debate the issue. Don’t make shit up to make personal attacks.
