I would add that half the problem of Griff and others like him reluctance to look at alternative information is because once CAGW is gone then the rational behind many of their other views just falls away. Hatred of fossil fuels being one. The Greens are especially vulnerable to this. Hence why they now lie frantically and obstinately as they wriggle to avoid their whole rational being totally ruined .

I supported gay marriage because consenting adults can do what they like. If they want “equality” they can make kids the same way the rest of us do. That is real “equality”.

cossackstomper, as above, I believe in personal liberty. That includes the right not to marry same sex couples if the person conducting the ceremony does not want to.

This shit needs to be nipped in the bud.

I didn’t give a stuff about legislating for a few old poofs & carper munchers to get married but I’m not at all happy that they could demand open adoptions. I’m not quite as concerned with the practise as the principle since I’m led to believe that there’s only about fifty children given up for adoption in NZ each year.

Pete George, yes I have heard that too, but Europeans make up around 10 % of the worlds population. Many are dirt poor and oppressed, particularly in Eastern Europe. The percentage of Europeans is declining and their culture is under threat.

Gays who want to adopt, or those who support the view of gay adoption deny their sexuality. They want the best of ‘both worlds’.

On the one hand they are ‘born that way’ and can’t have kids – yet the REALITY is that they can concieve children just like anyone else.

The arguement that ‘women who can’t concieve children are allowed to adopt’ does not support a case for gay adoption as those women cannot concieve naturally due to medical reasons.

Gay adoption is not a case of gays being medicaly unfit for parenthood. But mentaly unfit.

Gays place the value of a relationship between THEMSELVES above the natural relationship between mother, father and child.

That of course is not a model of parenting – but a social construct of unessecery harm to children.

An adopted child will always suffer from the loss of a parent, or both, and in times past society has gathered about and replaced that loss with the ‘near equivelent’ – gay adoption is not the equivelent and can therefor not ‘replace a loss’.

If anything – it would only make that loss more readily seen and felt by the child!

A cherry pick that ignores the fact that the previous four years were on average around 0.4c cooler. That is around 1c a decade you conveniently disregard. 😆
No one thinks that we will see a steady rise each year weather events such as the SOI go in cycles at present we have had neutral/alnina SOI temperatures are still the seventh warmest for last month. 1998 was a anomaly choosing such outlying data to base a trend on is cherry picking.
Met service is predicting a rise back to the modeled trend of 0-15 a decade in the next five years.
You can cast doubt until I start seeing valid sience that explains both the warming attributed to co2 and a gives a reason why the measured effects of co2 absorption of energy and the frequency involved coupled with models that can track the temperature change without using the known forcing of co2 then unfortunately you are talking wingnut woo not sience.

And a new paper finds climate models are getting worse rather than better. The paper published in Geophysical Research Letters finds that the latest climate models are performing even worse than the earlier generations of climate models in predicting

“…both the mean surface air temperature as well as the frequency of extreme monthly mean temperature events due to climate warming.”

The paper adds to HUNDREDS of other PEER-REVIEWED papers demonstrating the abject failure of climate models.
