As I thought, Ugly, your intellectual repartee consists of abuse to anyone who disagrees with you as your first response. If you are like that away from the anonymity of the keyboard, you have got real issues.

And go back and read your own posts, if your attention span goes that far.

When looking at the overall tenor of your posts, one is left with the very uneasy feeling that you are regularly pulled over by the police and have done runners before now. Either that, or you are a member of the tinfoil hat brigade. Got your survivalist bunker ready for when the zombies start coming? (in the latter case, I think you need to look in the mirror)

And why do you quote US law? Their decisions are irrelevant in NZ.

To re-iterate what almost all the others (except Chris Scott) has posted, the responsibility of any police chase are solely the fleeing driver’s. If they hadn’t tried to escape, none of consequences would have happened. It is really bad when third parties get injured or even worse, killed, but any increase in the no chase policy is just an invitation for even more dangerous situations to occur. And don’t give the crap about the police could arrest them another way. In most situations, the driver isn’t known and has already committed serious criminal acts before the chase starts.

Kea, re: King David Hotel.

As you say, it was done by the Jewish underground not the Govt, and in retaliation for ‘Black Sabbath’ (not the band).
The Jewish National Council denounced the bombing, as did Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion who said the Irgun was “the enemy of the Jewish people”.

You forget to mention also, that the Jews phoned the hotel and told them to get out because there was a bomb. They also rang the French Embassy next door and told them the same thing, and repeated the same warning to the Palestine Post newspaper.
Everyone had 25 minutes to get out, but didn’t. Perhaps they didn’t take the warnings seriously.

Your point that Israel was established on “someone elses land” is also factually wrong.

TimG, No my point is that one religion can not claim exclusive rights to their own country in the area. However it is done now and the people living there now are not responsible for the mess. The surrounding Muslims have done little to help their own cause. That is why I support Israel. However establishing Israel was religious bullshit of the highest order.

Everything I am saying is self evident fact. The only thing I find interesting in raising this topic are the double standards and rubbish people are willing to talk to support Israel. Even to the extent of making excuses for terrorist acts against civilians. I have more in common with Israels values than I do its enemies. But I am not willing to lie to people and be a two faced hypocrite in order to put them on a pedestal.

The same rebels Obama said he would assist with military strikes if evidence was found of chemical weapons ?

Or is it another bunch of Islamic extremists ?

(The UN inspectors found that evidence, BUT it was the rebels using the chemical weapons.

A bit like a USA backed Sadam used chemical weapons killing thousands of people when the US gave him the nod to invade Iran. )

But that’s no what you said, and that’s not what Israel claims, as it is a secular country with a Jewish majority. There are a number of countries in that area which do claim religious right, against the actual History. Saudi Arabia being number 1.

dime, I agree. They are just a tiny nation that can not get on with its neighbours. Not worth worrying about. They won’t be there for much longer either. They will be nuked. Even the locals wont be able to live there then as it will be too radioactive for things like date growing and wife beating.

I had a Jewish girl from New York who wanted to bonk my brains out on a regular basis, but I had to turn her away, as I was interested in another girl… who happened to be muslim ! She did not work out long term either. Anyway, the Jewish girl was more an atheist. Many people are only Muslim, Jewish, Catholic, in a cultural way rather than a literal belief in sky fairies.
