It’s another stunner in Wangavegas as well, so it will be the perfect day for a lunchtime BBQ on the deck. As I look out, the last of the winter snow has all but vanished from Mt Taranaki away in the distance. Today is forecast to be a scorcher; long may summer reign 😀

Long knives, kk unfortunately no they are serious.

In order to move to the uk with a disabled dependant I would imagine they have British passports or one of them was a very sought after highly skilled migrant of some sort. So in both cases they would get the full NHs complement of care but I’m not sure how much that would entail.

The fact they can fly back 10 times a year at a cost of $7k per trip to claim $2k a week means they must have a reasonable cash float. They probably moved for better work opportunities or family support or whatever but I don’t see why the long suffering taxpayer should continue to support them when they have turned their back on the country.

Green blog? there is one, but slow as slow as – must be something in the dyhydrogen monoxide.

That’s why I had $100 on Christian Acropolis at Te Aroha trots today.

When I see ballroom… I think dancing. And then… in dancesport ballroom means English standard ballroom dancing to distinguish it from Latin American and New Vogue styles. Ah yeah…that’s right… it’s a *style* of dance within Dancesport. That’s how they talk. How many styles are you competing in today?

You know in my youth, I was really strong, I easily could beat the current olympic weight lifting records in my time, snatch and clean and jerk but I never got picked for the Olympics because of my identity

Just because I wasn’t a woman under 53 kgs Olympic glory was denied – unfair no?

I was in town and I went to a shop where the usual rules of time and space take a backseat…

Owner was smoking a cigarette behind the jewellery style display counter with a handy glass of wine next to the cash register… took me back to my childhood… you know… when everyone in shops smoked and drank piss to get through the day.

In the sixties they used to do sex tests which women had to pass, like dope tests today.

Feminists got riled about women having to prove they were women so they dumped the idea in the ninties.

Princess Anne competed in the Equestrian but the Olympic commitee forwent gender testing her, they agreed it could be taken as read she was a woman. Anyway it don’t matter in equestrian men and women compete against each other anyway so gender ambiguity does not arise

What else did I see in town? Underclass brown woman heavily pregnant and puffing a smoke as she walks along Manners St. I’m approached by very large and overweight/ obese brown underclass young man in Cuba Mall asking me for 50c to get home. I’m trying to remember if I’ve ever been approached on foot by any non-brown person for money in my life. Struggling. (Once in the UK white dude at Waterloo I think it was-not NZ though, eh cuz?). That’s what I get for hanging out in Cuba Mall though. A couple of white beggers.. one a backpacker on Lambton Quay and one in Willis St.

I like turning them down when they ask for cash and watch for the put-on nice persona to disappear instantly as they realise they need to find a new target. If they turn full-on evil and nasty… you know you got it right.

I gave $2 to an Indian looking bloke once for the bus… but he’d been towed from a car park. He was very much more likely genuine and not trying it on as a scam source of extra income. And he didn’t ask… I offered.
