Just like some Christians say that Satan’s greatest achievement is to make people believe he doesn’t exist. Global warming is the new religion.

And you wonder why people laugh at you.

And contrary to your belief, there is nothing unique or “extreme” about the temperatures I cited (or about the current weather in general.) They are matching events of several decades ago:

“The coldest winter in decades is causing blizzards in northern China”

“New Delhi sees coldest temperature since 1969.”

“Russia is enduring its harshest winter in over 70 years”

Only someone with no rational thinking skills would therefore try to claim them as evidence of global warming.

The point of citing them is precisely because they match extreme cold temperatures of several decades ago, directly contradicting the global warming scam with its promise of runaway warming.

I believe there are certain circumstances when it is allowed. Most squad cars have them in their trunks anyway. Lone officers in isolated areas have special guidelines. The manual isn’t on line, however, I”m sure there will be some reference to the guidelines available.

As there are more humans on the planet than ever before, and so many animals have become extinct, does it have any effect on the balance of nature, or could it in the future?

Judith the Georgia Guidestones suggest 500 million is a good number.

This is possibly because the people who paid to erect that “monument” have calculated that this sustains the gene pool sufficiently to keep themselves in the style to which they’ve become accustomed while the rest of we “useless eaters” as they call us, “entertain them.”

That’s the plan anyway, according to that monument, in stone, which really exists, ‘somewhere in Georgia.’

Quite depressing really. If you don’t like death, that is.

Give it some thought. It’s interesting, e.g. being married to the same person for a thousand years, doing the same job, not being to have children once the world had reach maximum sustainable population and so on.

And something very similar has happened to Dr David Bellamy, who has never been shy about expressing his belief that climate change is an entirely natural phenomenon. His media career, particularly in television, has suffered as a result.

bc, happy to discuss my experiences with the principal at my son’s school instead. It took over a year of hounding her through every channel possible but the useless trollop finally took early retirement. What a joke our education system is.
She was protected by teacher’s council, principal’s federation and the limited statutory manager, and all the while the school was going to shit, lost around 20% of the school roll year on year.

Azeraph, good advice. The AGW fraud is a huge trillion dollar global industry. For those so called “climate scientists’ it is their own source of income. When people stop playing along with AGW and cut the funding, they will have no job and no professional credibility. They will attempt to manufacture another crisis, wait and see.

There is no scientific consensus on this issue. Getting a group of people together who all support AGW and depend on it for a living, is not a consensus. It is a special interest group.

Anyone who does not play along is excluded and the alarmists will try and discredit them and destroy them professionally. Given those circumstances, of course there is “consensus” in the group.

You see Griff try an discredit those who speak the truth, by making up stories about them being funded by “BIG OIL” or the fictional “Carbon Industry”. Of course he ignores who funds the alarmists and the fact oil companies make billions, from oil, no climate science. The alarmists only source of income is AGW. Until a few years ago no one had even heard of the term “climate scientists”. It is a made up name and they should be called what they are, weathermen, and we all know how reliable they are.

Where on earth did you get that silly idea?

Anyway, according to your fellow environmental extremists, the oil is running out. Remember the big “Peak Oil” craze a few years back Griff? So according to you lot, the imaginary fossil fuel problem will fix its self. No worries.

In the mean time the oil companies will make billions supplying the world with a wonderful product that has done so much for humanity. Unlike primitives such as yourself who have done nothing but spread fear and ignorance.

I can’t name names bc, the ex-principal seems like the litigious type. But the nub of it is she did bad for and to our son, shredded records that were meant to be kept, failed to comply with various other legislated requirements, spent money she wasn’t authorised to yada yada yada. The LSM should have implemented a performance management programme with her and should have stopped the unauthorised spending, among other things, but failed to. He also recommended the school declare to MoE that there were more students on the roll than he knew were actually going to be at the school the following year. Through that and the unauthorised spending the school has racked up a large deficit.
Both the teachers council and principals federation washed their hands of taking any action, the MoE didn’t seem to care about failing to meet statutory requirements for foling of reports etc, nor that the LSM failed to meet many of his contractual obligations. I filed official information requests and we built a case with solid evidence including recordings of meetings and phone calls, and over almost a year pursued our case through the BoT. They were in a delicate position as they had to give her every chance to respond, as well having to follow proper employment practices in their role as a good employer.
Meanwhile we transferred our son to another school. The school roll dropped about 20% year to year.
Eventually the principal took stress leave and then when her leave entitlement ran out she took early retirement with a healthy payout.
Our son’s new school has been at the other end of the spectrum, and he’s thriving there. His old school should have been as good, hopefully their new principal will up to the task.
I appreciate the old principal is just a bad apple, but what a palaver to get any action done. It makes you wonder how many bad apples are embedded in the system.

Looks like we are going to allow our cops to carry glocks and then they are going to have to be trained to yell “Gun!” and then cite “I thought i saw a gun”

There’s a pack mentality that the young islander and maori have adopted and to a lesser extent the young disenfranchised pakeha coupled with the rise of the young carrying weapons (knives etc ) and the penchant to stomp a person til they are meat is going to make the adoption of the gun seamless.

Maybe these areas that have only one officer need to have 3 instead.

Kea, warming is natural, man made warming is not.

Ozone holes are natural but human activity contriuted to them. Since we began to reduce the contribution the ozone holes are now returning to to the size they naturally were/are.

Want to inform the writer of the blog that the ozone holes over the Antarctic break up and travel over New Zealand?

I see he bowled 19 overs yesterday and didn’t even get a wicket.

A new temperature high for the great heatwave cooking much of the continent has been set with Moomba clocking up 49.6 degrees today.

The scorching conditions, which saw the mercury peak at 3.42pm, local time, at the remote South Australian gas region, also sent temperatures soaring in other parts of the eastern interior. The 49.6 reading is the highest for the location and the hottest recorded during the fortnight-long heat spell.

Other temperatures of note today include the north-western NSW town of Bourke, which hit 48.3, while Birdsville on the Queensland section of Corner Country touched 48.6 degrees.

SPC, yes man does have an effect on climate. But it is very small.

Weathermen have a sorry history of getting it wrong. It is not really science, its guessing.

Kea, those failed forecasts show that a little knowledge multiplied by arrogance concludes with a misjudgement.

A prudent man would say that

1. warming in the Arctic could/would allow navigation in summertime.
2. global warming impacts on climate, but climate systems are complex and the outcomes are variable around the world. Historic weather patterns could/would be affected.

So with this in mind, we can note that there is man-made warming and the extent of this compared to other warming (uncreased solar cycle activity) is uncertain. This complicates effort to identify the extent to which human activity is warming the globe and thus problematic to forecasting future impact – or quantify what we would have to do to slow the rate of warming.

We don’t even know if the increasing solar activity of recent times will continue. Having identified it as a factor, it is also now a factor in forecasting global temperature.

The other variable factor is volcanic activity and smog levels causing cooling (is there more smog than in the past and if so, what impact is it having – especially as Chinese/Indian production increases).

It’s a specialized game of hit and miss and no one, and i mean no one can give us the time and date and the total amount of literage of rain that will fall on any given day a year from now.

Unless someone can state that they have a comp model that can track every particle in the atmosphere we don’t have anything that can properly predict certain weather patterns anywhere and since we are now experiencing extreme weather events it’s just going to make it harder.

We’re getting better though.

Great book, especially about weather forecasting, gets a bit silly over baseball and Obama’s 2008 election but it gave me an insight into statistics and predictions and the link towards how we want the future to be as opposed to how it actually turns out.

It’s American, be prepared.

We do no how much is man made and how much is the sun
The solar output has been stable then declining since the seventy’s
If the solar output has not been going up the warming since 1970 can only be caused by co2
For what its worth we know that sun activity was responsible for some of the MWP

Yes Griff, there is no longer a continuing increase in (upward trend) in solar activity. This should allow some attempt to quantify more accurately what the man made rate of temperature increase is.

If they were true skeptics they would close one avenue of dispute if it was proven wrong
The writers of the climate echo chamber are well aware there is a statistically significant trend .

Moron : Its not a computer modal kea its the slope on the temperature record you know when they get temperatures graph them and see if they are going up

He just proved he does not know what a modal is Is the diferece between graphing the old temperatures and projecting the future temperatures to hard for him to cope with?.
