The hyphen rather than the”o” goes back to last year when ‘reid’ became a little deranged after the deity word was written in full.

No it didn’t nasska. I just decided to start using G-D instead of God I think, around 2 years ago. I more recently decided to stop using it. Since I’m not Jewish, I don’t believe its sacrilege to use God, which is why they use G-d.

I also use YHWH.

Johnboy may think he’s hedging his bets but the Great Architect isn’t fooled by labels and he’d be a lot wiser if he simply acknowledged Jesus is Lord.

I’m missing something, Jumpy Jimmy. What outcome am I supporting? I think the “wave” of black on white assaults, well deserving of condemnation and police action, amount to…one. That is, assaults with a seemingly racist flavor. But it pays to remember you are talking about a people who suffered centuries of the most horrific abominations, and who are still widely reviled purely for the color of their skin in their own homeland.

You’re missing the deeper issue Luc: the issues you originally decried are engineered. And its discerning the parties cui bono therefrom, as it always is with these things.

No phil, he hasn’t. Lots of them never vote. Lots of them don’t vote democrat. Tell me, how come lefties think that black people will vote for the black candidate just cos he’s black? Isn’t that kinda condescending? Doesn’t that mean you think those black folks are just stupid fools who’ll just vote for someone without even thinking about it? I think you just committed a hate crime phil. It’s a shame we aren’t in America for then I could have you arrested for a hate crime and who knows what the (possibly black) police people would do to you – search-wise – after that?

I really cant be bothered getting stuck into a debate, but I thought I would clarify one thing:

I don’t believe its sacrilege to use God, which is why they use G-d.

Actually this practice started relatively recently, like only in the last 40 or so years. Most authorities (i.e. religious leaders) regard it to be a fad. This one is more of a custom than belief of being sacrilegious. Not all will agree, and I’m sure you can google various interpretations if you really want.

i can’t remember where this started, but it does none of us any good.
You refer to one patriot. Fair enough.

My point was that there were legions of frogs lining up only to keen to dob in their countrymen
to the Gestapo in Lyon WW2. That is a fact. However.

The world has moved on.

To paraphrase RodneyKing, Why can’t we all work together.

My initial comment was brought on by a Skype conversation with my brother yesterday
where he was incredulous that he was treated like shit in a small provincial French village cafe
because they thought he was a Pom.

Yvette – not really. Some people think that if they write the name out then it was destroyed that it would breach a specific law. As mentioned, not supported by the majority, but these fads catch on. Hey – Look at non-religious fads, like the magnet bracelets or similar.

3. Because they don’t know how to cook good French fries. French cuisine is the best in the world, so why English used the word “French” in such a crap meal?

4. Because they buy beautiful houses in the French Countryside. And as a consequence, they are a reason why the prices are so high.

5. Because people speak English everywhere in the world, not French. This point stresses the French complex of inferiority.

6. Because English live one hour before the French. Dover is just 70 kilometers far from Calais. So is there a scientific reason to have one hour less than everybody else?

7. Because English don’t use the Euro currency. So each time French go to London, they have to look for a Bureau de change.

8. Because English don’t have good doctors. A lot of English women go to France in order to deliver their babies.

9. Because they have 5 airports for London. Whereas Paris just has 2.

10. Because London is the seventh biggest French city. Why so many young French leave their country in order to work in London?

11. Because their London night buses are useful. But what about the Noctambus in Paris?

12. Because they are sarcastic. They are friendly with everybody very quickly, but that doesn’t mean they are your friend.

13. Because they eat Fish and Chips! No comment.

14. Because they beat France in the 2007 Rugby World Cup. This was pure luck.

No. Your branch is fucking useless. What have you contribute to humanity? Nothing! Except some fucking glorified theory that has nothing to do with humanity. Does your fucking Astrophycics design cars? How about our modern telecommunication system? Nope! Your branch just passed on as science but that’s not a kind of science that advanced humanity. Astrophysics is no more than a wanking feel good intellectual useless wannabe science.

Chiz, there were 2 PhD astrophysicists in my time at the Auckland University Physics Department, in which they came to my lab (photonics) just because they were curious of what I (and 2 other PhDs were doing there). I had to depressurized the lab first (similar to this one) before they could even walk in. Reason? It has to be completely clean because any tiny dirt of particle that somehow enter the lab, the lasers might be interfered with since there’s beams everywhere pointing in all directions. That’s why everyone has to wear a clean protectued suit when he/she (they) enter the photonics lab. The 2 astrophysics were amazed at what we had in our lab, because they’ve never seen an optical telecommunication multiplexer before or even know what multiplexer is. I did show my fellow Physics Department Astrophysicists how our (opto-electronic) lab works. They were astounded about the sophistication of what we did in the lab. Reason? What they studied (ast the time) were more theoretical (with no practical use) rather than application. Now that’s my story.

You whinge about ad hominen? You attacked me last year, when you called me stupid/idiot on a debate about general relativity which you argued that the theory doesn’t conserve energy. Fair enough, but this time, you’re veering to an area that it is not your domain and you questioned why I’m hung up on causality? Well I asked you some kindergarten questions and you seemed not to refute them with peer review publications apart from some blog posts on the internet.

I’ve asked you a question about the double slit experiment if a single particle goes thru the 2 slit holes or just one hole and you evaded. The reason is that you didn’t know that Quantum Mechanics is an ensemble theory (ie statistical). If you do a single particle experiment, then the laws QM doesn’t apply because QM works when you have many particles (not a single particle). Well, you need some philosophy to understand how particles can traverse thru the double slit experiment?

That is the causality question that I argued about? If you don’t have contradictions (as they are today in modern physics), then your theory has a chance of explaining the universe’s underlying physical observations that we see. If you have a contradiction, then the observer (experimenter) needs to modify his/her theory because? Causality rules. If causality doesn’t rule, then you and me can say that we’re here merely as illusion. But we’re not here as illusion. We’re here as real.

PS : What the TEW video because it explained why you do not want to want it? It reproduced most of the QM predictions. Therefore, there’s no mystery in the universe (wave function collapse etc… ), everything has a cause.
