On Q+A this Sunday, the government has big plans for our two biggest cities – a rebuild of the Christchurch CBD and a convention centre for Auckland. Both are facing big obstacles.

Greg Boyed sits down with the two ministers leading the charge. First, Economic Development minister, Steven Joyce, on the Sky City convention centre deal. Does he have an ace left to play? Is National playing a losing hand in the face of public opposition?

Then, Earthquake Recovery Minister, Gerry Brownlee, on his 100-day deadline for a new Christchurch CBD blueprint. Is it action at last or a rush job?

And later, a New Zealand exclusive, as Paul Holmes talks to former Republican Presidential candidate Jon Huntsman about what it was like on the inside of these wild Republican primaries. What does he make of the Republican Party nowadays? And how can Mitt Romney beat Barack Obama?
