Not waning nasska, you’re right. Didn’t realise it was so obvious. Long story but yes you’re correct, not too many jocular things round here at the mo, but less about me, that’s not important.

And phil, He watches you as well mate. Everything you do and say and think gets recorded and since He made you as well: i.e. gave you every single talent you have and had and will have, He’s rather serious when it comes to using those for the right things and if when it comes to the time and He finds out you’ve wasted those gifts on trivia and your own foolish ego, well I understand phil, there may be hell to pay. I may be wrong but I think that’s how it works. And “being a good guy” isn’t enough. That’s the deception woven by the one in charge of this world, but you need to know it isn’t enough, so don’t rely on it, will you mate.

Luc: You missed a word in my qustion old boy…I said “widespread” Muslim immigration…by no stretch could the percentage of Muslims in the NZ population be constituted as “widespread” (I think someone said 1% the other day). Neither could it in the the US or Australia, although Australia has had its problems already, and they have smartened up as a result.

There is “widespread” Muslim immigration into Britain alright, and there are major problems there…such as trains being blown up, British born suicide bombers wif sarf London accents trying to take out aircraft…not to mention whole CITIES where white (for want of a better word) Britons now dare not go…such as Bradford.

And btw you only answered HALF of Grant’s question…three times. What should happen to those unbelievers who should be foolish enough to make anti Islamic jokes?

Grant, look at Britain as an example, or even that bastion of free speech, the USA. Yes, the USA legislates against hate crimes, and it appears that stalking a black kid and calling him a “fucking coon” may fit that bill, when the murder rap is dealt with.

Personally, I think the murder charge is designed to get Zimmerman off, but who knows, maybe justice will win out!

Israeli Minister Admits Ahmadinejad Never Said Israel Should Be “Wiped Off the Map”

A top Israeli official has acknowledged that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad never said that Iran seeks to “wipe Israel off the face of the map.”

The falsely translated statement has been widely attributed to Ahmadinejad and used repeatedly by U.S. and Israeli government officials to back military action and sanctions against Iran. But speaking to Teymoor Nabili of the network Al Jazeera, Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Dan Meridor admitted Ahmadinejad had been misquoted.

Teymoor Nabili: “As we know, Ahmadinejad didn’t say that he plans to exterminate Israel, nor did he say that Iran policy is to exterminate Israel. Ahmadinejad’s position and Iran’s position always has been, and they’ve made this — they’ve said this as many times as Ahmadinejad has criticized Israel, he has said as many times that he has no plans to attack Israel. He simply said that if you hold a referendum in this part of the world with everybody who lives here, he will accept the outcome of that referendum.”

Dan Meridor: “Well, I have to disagree, with all due respect. You speak of Ahmadinejad. I speak of Khamenei, Ahmadinejad, Rafsanjani, Shamkhani. I give the names of all these people. They all come, basically ideologically, religiously, with the statement that Israel is an unnatural creature, it will not survive. They didn’t say, ’We’ll wipe it out,’ you’re right. But ‘It will not survive, it is a cancerous tumor that should be removed,’ was said just two weeks ago again.”

Teymoor Nabili: “Well, I’m glad you’ve acknowledged that they didn’t say they will wipe it out.”

For the record, I don’t expect the racist entity known as Israel will survive, either.

David, you should read Islam and the Jews by Dr. Mark Gabriel who was an Imam and Professor of Islamic History and Al-Azhar University in Cairo and converted to Christianity.

He has significant insights into Muslim-Christian-Jewish dynamics.

I think all of us need to be aware of the significant political influence of this religious dynamic, and factor that in accordingly, but very few do, in fact, very few are even cognisant of the political influence in the first place, which should be the first thing to an astute observer that raises a red, yellow and black flag + siren. For this is what starts wars.

Luc: (If that really IS your name then peace be upon you) You haven’t answered my question either: Identify a western country which has undergone WIDESPREAD Muslim immigration (lets say at least 10% of the population is now Muslim) where there has NOT been serious social friction between the Muslim immigrants and “the locals”….In citing Australia, you have simply shot yourself in the foot, since there HAS been serious unrest there, and Muslims (to the best of my knowledge) are not anywhere near 10%….I could be wrong, I am not Phool, and dont know everything….

Presuming 21st century citizens of the world would be able to detect such amongst the general chatter….

They often come from harsh circumstances – due, in many cases, to Western so called civilization – and do react harshly in some circumstances. Grant, although the words are nasty, as is Israel’s occupation of Palestine, Israel’s non-Palestinian population should always be concerned.

They are running an apartheid state which simply cannot last in the modern world, even with an overwhelming military superiority.

The country exists at the grace of the US, and public opinion there is undergoing a generational change in how it views Israel.

It’s days are numbered, but I don’t expect to be around to see it (not because of Mossad, just old age and an indulgent lifestyle)

What really interests me, and I think you know this already, is not your interpretation of the relationship that Israel may, or may not, have with the Palestinians, but what you think should happen to the likes of Johnboy, DG, Nasska et al, should they make racist or Islamaphobic jokes or remarks.

David, yes Islamophobia is racist. It is never directed (that I am aware of) against European Muslims – yes, they do exist.

It is only directed against non-European adherents, who read the same Koran as European Muslims.

Are you aware of how widespread the religion is? It is multi-ethnic, just like Christianity and to cover all Muslims with a broad brush – aka “sweeping generalization” – is simply evidence of extreme prejudice.

And David, by all means, look me up and pop in for a cup of tea. Like all bullies, you would be no problem to me. I would enjoy working through your prejudices with you and hopefully you will leave a more balanced person.

Ladies and gentlemen. I give you Mr. Hansen, an individual who would relieve others of their liberty for telling jokes he doesnt agree with.

I wonder how far up you would raise the ante in order to satisfy your desire for a sanitised and safe society? Re education perhaps, a secluded camp in the Kaimanawas somewhere? Hanging by the neck until the perpetrators’s sense of humour improves? It’s quite a relief to know that people like will never hhold power in this country.

Another “sweeping generalisation” that is clearly wrong…when I last checked Bosnia and Croatia were European countries, and I seem to remember pretty widespread condemnation of the religious/racist savagery the Muslim factions in those countries indulged in in the 90’s…about the same as the condemnation of the vicious racist religious savagery practised by the “Christian” Serbs….

As someone said early “You must try harder”….I really think a gracious retreat to the Pavilion is a good idea your mate has pissed off into a dope enhanced haze somewhere….you are all alone in a coldly logical field of well read enemies…

Jeez Luc – you really need to get your shit together. The Doha based Al Jazeera interviewer Teymoor Nabili is English. He graduated from the University of Portsmouth. Now please stop telling porkies.

Both were Iranian, Luc. And they believe the original translation (as reported by CNN) is correct.

Thanks for that Elaycee. I was curious but did make a presumption for the purposes of tonight. I still fail to see how you call a clear statement by israel’s Deputy PM propaganda, but so be it.

The general interpretation of the remark is that first, he was quoting the Ayotallah Khomenei, and second that it was about vanishing, wiping, if you like, from the pages of history. They take the long view. It was not a military threat.

But it makes me laugh how you guys keep me busy then leap on the odd inaccuracy (wasn’t DPF owned quite badly the other day?) but ignore the thrust of my argument – that you all prefer prejudice over thinking.

Well what have we learned? Nothing about Finland that we didnt already know about four hours ago; that Luc wont answer a straight question, even when it’s pointed out to him that he has only answered half of it; that if they get really difficult he just pretends they have never been asked at all; that he flies off making statements without checking first what HE has said earlier about those very same statements; that when it push comes to shove, it’s back to – what was it – “Deny, deflect, denigrate?”

What have I missed?

You have missed quite a lot, David. I applaud your disgust at Muslim atrocities and I do hope that disgust extends to Western atrocities as well.

One of the problems with your world view, though, is exactly what you just said. Islam is a religion. The vast majority of Muslims – widely divergent in nationality – do not commit atrocities. An almost equal number of people on this planet are Christians. What about Christian atrocities?

Currently. You know, the US, Nato, Australia and yes, NZ.

Is not the invasion of Iraq, tens of thousands upon hundreds of thousands (let’s not bicker over numbers) dead because of lies of Christian leaders, a Christian atrocity?

Is not, in Afghanistan, the war against the Pashtun, mainly civilians killed, an atrocity? Ten years now, by the way, of killing Afghans who just want what we want: a life lived in peace.

The War on Drugs. Tens of thousands killed in countries outside of the US. Is that not a Christian atrocity? When the consumers of the drugs are American (Christian) citizens? What happens to free market rules, supply and demand, in this case. Only hit the suppliers?

European colonization: hundreds of millions killed, entire ethnicities exterminated – is that not Christian atrocity?

Or are we just a wee bit selective in our morality, David?

I think we have learned that Finland has a homicide rate significantly higher than ours, and it is obviously because of these bloody horis over there.

Absent horis, Finland’s homicide rate would be 60-70%, from memory, lower.

DG, he may be 60 years old and arguing like a child, but definitely Luc can still bonk like a strong young adult. Luc has said many times on this blog that he became a father again at that old age. I thought men in their late 50s and above can’t bonk or have an erection, but this assumption is clearly wrong. So, there is some element of youthful in Luc.

Your son must be ashamed of your leeching. Otherwise, he must be quiet at school when he talks to other kids about what their fathers (or parents) do for a living? I doubt that your son would ever say something like , My dad is on the dole, that is he’s working for the government, by getting weekly benefits. Your son must be proud of that when he boasts to his peers at school.
