Find a NARK memorial location near you and drop off a small soft toy today between noon and 3pm today – event map.

STOP the Deaths from Child Abuse! NOW!

This memorial for our children who have died at the hands of someone who was supposed to be caring for them is simple,it does not cost BUT it will have huge impact.

I am asking you to spare 1 Toy/soft cuddly on September the 3rd and encourage everyone you can and know to do the same.

1 Toy to be placed at your towns local memorial statue or wall, in memory of our fallen heroes, the many children lost to child abuse.

Since our great soldiers passed there have been none other like them ever except for these Babies and I want a nation to accept awareness because for these children thats the very least we can be. AWARE.

Thank you and I really hope you can help.

Child abuse will continue as long as the people of this country allow it to. If enough people stand up and speak up and break their silence then the violent thugs and abusers will get the message that what they do is not normal and not acceptable in our society.

Ordinary people remaining silent does nothing to confront the problem, it does nothing to confront the perpetrators.

Speaking up is not the solution – but it is a significant part of the solution.

Who owns Power co?

A Powerco operator is one of 13 New Plymouth people arrested following a covert police drug operation aimed at crushing the Rebels bikie gang.

Police say Garry Anthony Dewar, 39, a network operator for New Plymouth-based electricity lines company Powerco, is the Taranaki Rebels’ president.

Dewar is charged with stealing electricity, and cultivating cannabis and participating in a criminal gang.

What a joke the treaty process is giving land to IWI that actually had no claim on it at all.
Auckland was uninhabited when the white man arrived. No IWI could hold it because if they tried they would have been annihilated.
It was then sold to the government by tribes that did not posses it. Now we are giving it back to them.
Its about time these rorts were stopped for once and for all.

IWI have assets that belong to all of us these assets must be returned.
IWI do not represent any thing but there own self interest.

No more weight given to “oral” tradition. No more lies treated as true.
No more treaty bullshit no more one sided treaty tribunal.
No more Racist apartheid legislation.

Funny you should mention that. One of them just been here.
We are helping her with accommodation,and helping her to achieve her goal of education.

And just to piss you off she Is a young Maori lass who has worked for us for over a year. Came from no job. via the Burnham training and on an employment scheme.
Kinda thing we do all the time and have for ever. ( Have two presently and will most likely have another one or two in the next two months.)
(Would have a young man if the work was young mans work but it isn’t. Though at our other business that will happen)

One of the politest and nicest young persons you could wish to meet, good at learning, great at singing, happy person. Absolutely doesn’t want to have children until she has a good relationship and can care for them.

That’s what you can do to make a difference when you own your own business. We could all do more if the stupid bloody politicians would get the fuck out of everyones lives and let us get on with it.

Oh and I hear all you old pricks moaning all the time about the young people who won’t work etc etc etc.
Well, I just have to say if its your responsibility to employ them then its your leadership that makes the difference.
Personally I would rather employ young trainable people than you old farts with bad attitudes, sore backs, inability to learn, know it all attitudes.

And as for those employed by others, then you haven’t even taken responsibility for your own lives so why the hell would you want to take control of others or tell me what to do??

Joana – abortion is a very tricky issue, I agree. It is difficult to make a convincing moral argument in favour of the termination of a healthy fetus.

Perhaps in years to come, it will be commonly viewed as barbaric.

MMM well as far as I know there has been no announcement of any cause or medical condition that caused this accident.
So the questions remain open.

Well you forgot to add to that list. The NZ taxpayer, the many who have lost their life savings and assets and so on.

Viking2 – Powerco is an electricity lines company owned by two offshore investors. Its area includes Taranaki – Whanganui – Manawatu – Wairarapa and I think a few other areas. It used to be predominantly owned by New Plymouth City Council and had its genesis as its Municipial Electricity Department. I think it was once stock exchange listed. Regarding the employee in question, his performance in the job must have been satisfactory or he would have been moved to less critical work by now. If his gang connections appeared above board an employer hould have little grounds for acting against the employee. I suspect he will be immediately moved to less critical work if not worse.

The Carbon Sense Coalition today called on the Australian and New Zealand governments to boycott the UN Global Warming talkfest planned for Durban later this year.

Condolences to the Hubbard family. There now needs to be swift closure to the whole tragic episode. Members of his immediate family do not appear to be ‘culpable’ as such. It seems to me the Government should negotiate a dignified exit for the family. This could involve the Government coming to an agreement to purchase Alan’s estate for a few million dollars (and the family home) to be paid to his widow. The Government agencies can then ‘wrap’ his estate in the most expedient way, and the family can then get on with life. I doubt that even the most mean spirited creditor would wish to see the family continue to suffer while the mess is sorted out. This would also be the most economic way of sorting things out, just like the Government buying out SCF investors to facilitate the orderly liquidation of SCF.

There is a lesson here. As we all get older, we need to be prepared to let go of things. If a person is ‘blessed’ with the good fortune of running an empire, as Alan was, the person owes it to him or herself and to others involved to ‘wind down’ in later years and exit on a ‘high’ – then go out and enjoy life! By all means keep a few racehorses or potter in business enterprises, but steer clear of those where other people could get hurt if things turn to custard. Unfortunately because of human nature this is easier said than done.

Anyone been watching the UK Police program on Thursdays called Motorway Cops?
Have you noticed how incredibly fat some of them are? (Watch on TVNZ on Demand.)

They seem to be going the same way a New York cops did.
When I lived in the UK they were all slim and fit, looks like standards have dropped.
There is no way these cops could chase a fleeing suspect!

Yes I wonder what the media reaction would have been if a boy had done it at an all boys school and the cause was, say, breast cancer?

I imagine Walrus would be apoplectic at such an outwage. The editorials would call for not just immediate resignation but possible criminal charges for inciting sexist hatred, I would imagine.

Just finished reading papers,must say am gob-smacked.
Let it be known to the AUCKLAND BASED COMEDIAN,who was discharged after attacking sexually his 4 year old coming home from a night on the piss,I and my family have passed judgment also.
The penalty is that if I see you in my province that I shall proceed to inflict upon you a sentence that you will not like in the least.
I am not being to descriptive,but be assured that you will have wished that the judge was more representitive of the mainstream thinking on aceptible punishment.
On a brighter note am off to the rubgy tonight,and am thinking I might try a “TUI SNEAK”, I mean whats the worst that can happen?

9/11 colouring book offends Muslims

A children’s colouring book produced to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, has upset Muslims in the US.

They say the author is stoking Islamophobia by publishing “We Shall Never Forget – The Kids’ Book of Freedom”.

It depicts scenes from the World Trade Center attacks, for children to colour in.

One page portrays the killing of Osama Bin Laden, showing him cowering behind a veiled woman as a US soldier pulls the trigger.

Muslim leader say it’s hateful, inflammatory and completely inappropriate for children.

The author claims the first print run of 10,000 is a sell-out.

KiwiRail says it’s moving forward, and needs new train drivers.

It expects there’ll be jobs for another hundred over the next couple of years, as new locomotives are put into service.

Insurance companies win legal battle

Insurance companies have won a legal battle with the Earthquake Commission – meaning its bill for the Canterbury quakes is likely to jump again.
The EQC is liable for the first $100,000 of any claim, while insurance companies pick up the rest.
Around 110,000 Canterbury homeowners have been unlucky enough to suffer damage in more than one of the aftershocks.
The argument has been over whether the EQC has to pay out for each of those claims – or just the first $100,000 of damage.

The High Court has now ruled in favour of the insurance companies.

So that Means that the EQC has now got even bigger liabilities. Thats the surplus gone for another how many years.
Allan Bollard had better cut the interest rates asap.

It’s more than just dropping interest rates, V2. The other brakes on progress also need to be removed. Think of the RMA, Local Govt Act 2002, if the government were brave the Emissions Trading Scam and plenty of others. It will take more than lower interest rates to kick start the economy.

@V2, there’s only one party currently in the Parliament that comes close to being anything other than a pack of big-government-loving, tax-and-spend, central control-freak socialists, and they’re polling at 2%. The leader of our allegedly conservative (note the small ‘c’) government suggests there’s a long, yellow streak of socialism running up the back of every Kiwi.

Do I have any confidence that it will happen? Come off it, it’s the opposite. I have every confidence it will NEVER happen. New Zealand will continue its slide down the OECD rankings until finally, inevitably, it falls right off the charts and out of the “first” world.

Not sure whether they’re too old. I know they manage to make the current Liarbore rabble look coherent, organised and efficient. Factions? We don’t got not steenking factions.

I reckon The Don made a strategic blunder going straight for the treaty troughers when he took over; it ain’t 2005 any more. He should have focussed instead on National’s (quite frankly) fucking awful management of the economy since ’08 and their lack of any kind of a plan to get the economy back on track.

I think he also fucked up by hitching his wagon so firmly to the Quisling Key. He’s basically lifted ACT’s skirts and asked National to do their worst without even getting them to buy dinner first. Key knows ACT are on board, so he can pretty much ignore them (as he has done since ’08) and cozy up to (what should be) National’s enemies in the apartheid and watermelon parties.

I do think Banks will take Epsom (I think Colin Craig has fucked up by standing in Epsom instead of, say, Tamaki or North Shore), so ACT will have a place in the Parliament, but I don’t think they’ll improve on their current 5 MPs.

Sometimes ACT come across as having a death wish. You were spot on when you commented that they ignore modern communication channels & they find getting traction with the MSM difficult. There seems to be no one capable of putting together the big picture & laying it out in front of the electorate.

Come December & there will likely be only one ACT MP & he will be a arrogant recycled Nat who couldn’t even make it as a lacklustre mayor.

I reckon even Colin Craig’s conservatives could thrash them at the polls.

“CERN is the organization that invented the World Wide Web”

but that’s not true, as I understand it. DARPA invented the www backbone and launched it on the world, because they wanted to get an unbreakable comms network in event of nuclear attack. The www has so many nodes it’s impossible to disable, even if you take out a major node like say NYC or London or Moscow or Beijing, you still have the network.

CERN invented the html protocol which transmits brilliantly mathematical calculations but is very weak on formatting. This is cause CERN scientists cared less about how it looked than what the data was which is why html has always been a rather poor cousin for entertainment-based information sharing which is what the day-to-day internet is.

Based on the thinking behind the US battle plan in event of multi-incoming nuclear launch detection which is to air-burst EMP devices all over the planet incidentally dropping every single non-hardened machine like say a passenger aircraft out of the sky, I predict the US also has a plan for the internet as well, in this event.

I suggest its reasonable to imagine the US command responsible for such matters may have another protocol up their sleeves, already installed and possibli already up and running, as well, just waiting to replace what we have, both to deny the enemy and to facilitate theirs.

Or is that being too cynical?

Unfortunately they decided that John Ansel was too right wing for them. He has to be the best political communicator around. Since they gave up on his adverts they have disappeared into the furniture. The first advert was one of many. Right idea as it needed to be said. Started controversy and started an amazing conversation educating people for the first time about the truth. It just needed to be followed up every week or 2 weeks with more on different subjects. Doesn’t matter if anyone believes it, likes it or not, it gets attention and traction.
Any publicity is better than none and ACT only need 10% to make a difference and 15% to make a change.

Reid – you’re confusing the Internet with the World Wide Web (easy enough to do). The Internet was indeed first created by DARPA (and later opened up to universities, and then the rest of the world). The WWW is actually quite recent in the history of the Internet, being created in 1989 by Tim Berners-Lee at CERN – all it is is a convention for referencing documents via hyperlinks on the Internet.

My goodness, how much is EQC’s liability now?

Just as a note, I spoke with a (private) insurance assessor today. He noted that one property he had, was assessed by EQC at $14k after Feb. The private insurance company assessed as a total loss ie about $240,000.

The issue with that is EQC have not done anything to resolve the discrepancy, so there’s another $100k plus EQC haven’t accounted for, how many cases like that are there? I’d say it’s a high number – 10-30,000 are probably way under estimated, it’s hard to say but from my experience it’s probably half of all claims that are at least thousands under estimated.

Now back to the multiple claims issue. Say we make some estimates for working out EQC’s extra liability. If we say 30,000 are overcap now (after June). 10,000 were overcap after September, and say 25,000 overcap after Feb.

Then if at September we had (remember these are just some estimates to gauge the extra cost):

3,500 at $100,000 plus GST = $115,000 which were a total loss

6,500 at $100,000 plus GST = $115,000 which were repairable

10,000 at an an average $50,000

10,000 at an average $10,000

Say at February

4,500 of 6,500 that were over $115,000 and repairable now total loss or ovecap again, so that’s another $115,000 for each of these.

The remaining 2,000 of those say had an average $70,000 extra damage.

7,500 of the 10,000 that had $50k had another $115k.

Say the remaining 2,500 of those had an average $90k (remember minimum extra was $65k)

Now say half the other 10,000 had another $115k and the other 5,000 were still undercap at an average of another $70,000.

Now say at June

Say 2,500 had another $115,000 and 4,500 had an average of another $60,000.

All a bit complicated but add all that up and…

the original $3.45b becomes

a massive $6.7b ANOTHER $3.25 billion

Now I reckon that the $7.1b was too light anyway, so that’s probably $9b anyway. Now throw in another $3.25b and we are at a GIGANTIC $12+ billion.

THAT’S ANOTHER $5+ Billion for the Government to pick up!!!

NZ Inc is officially broke!!!!!!!!!!!….

Many here will know Australia currently labours (sorry – bad pun) under quite literally the worst government in its history. One of the key planks of this pack of retards is their attempt to tax plant food (much like the retards who let Mad Nick Smith implement his ridiculous Emissions Trading Scam).

In the definitely “not Government Approved” camp is Menzies House. I just received an email from them – they’re hoping to start an online video campaign, starting next week with this video.

I think the Giltard government is in its death-throes. At worst, it will collapse in June next year when Andrew Wilkie kills it. At best, it will collapse next week. Personally, I think there’s about 6-8 weeks to go before Gil-tard falls prey to some horrible illness and steps down for her health.

Larry LaPrise, the man that wrote “The Hokey Pokey” died

peacefully at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family

was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then
