The non-Murdoch UK papers won’t stop on this one, until Rupert comes up with some nasty stuff on their owners, from his “dossier.”

Isn’t it a farce. It’s just too bad that as a population, apparently human begins aren’t yet capable of collectively filtering scum like this from its information intakes and denying it oxygen so it just dies if alive or never even considers arising in the first place.

Plato said: “Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.” Which pretty much sums up the entire MSM, these days, doesn’t it.

With all due respect Paul, that’s just your anecdotal testimony. There is some loss of native species, but the long term gains are proven to far outweigh the losses. 1080 is also the most cost effective approach to pest control.

Thought this might bring a smile to your lips.

Cinderella was now 75 years old. After a fulfilling life with the now dead Prince, she happily sat upon her rocking chair, watching the world go by from her front porch, with a cat called Alan for companionship.

One sunny afternoon, out of nowhere, appeared the Fairy Godmother. Cinderella said “Fairy Godmother, what are you doing here after all these years?” The Fairy Godmother replied “Well Cinderella, since you have lived a good, wholesome life since we last met, I have decided to grant you 3 wishes. Is there anything for which your heart still yearns?”

Cinderella is taken aback, overjoyed and after some thoughtful consideration and almost under her breath she uttered her first wish: “I wish I was wealthy beyond comprehension.” Instantly, her rocking chair was turned into solid gold. Cinderella was stunned. Alan, her old faithful cat, jumped off her lap and scampered to the edge of the porch, quivering with fear. Cinderella said “Oh thank you, Fairy God Mother”.

The Fairy Godmother replied “It is the least I can do. What does your heart wish for your second wish?” Cinderella looked down at her frail body, and said: “I wish I was young and full of the beauty of youth again”. At once, her wish having been desired, became reality, and her beautiful youthful visage had returned. Cinderella felt stirrings inside her that had been dormant for years and long forgotten vigour and vitality began to course through her very soul.

Then the Fairy Godmother again spoke “You have one more wish, what shall you have?” Cinderella looked over to the frightened cat in the corner and said, “I wish you to transform Alan my old cat into a beautiful, and handsome young man”. Magically, Alan suddenly underwent so fundamental a change in his biological make-up, that when complete he stood before her, a young man, so beautiful the like of which she nor the world had ever seen, so fair indeed that birds begun to fall from the sky at his feet.

The Fairy Godmother again spoke: “Congratulations, Cinderella. Enjoy your new life.” And, with a blazing shock of bright blue electricity, she was gone. For a few eerie moments, Alan and Cinderella looked into each other’s eyes.

Cinderella sat, breathless, gazing at the most stunningly perfect young man she had ever seen. Then Alan walked over to Cinderella, who sat transfixed in her rocking chair, and held her close in his young muscular arms. He leant in close to her ear, and into her ear breathed as much as whispered, blowing her golden hair with his warm breath, “I bet you regret having me de-sexed now, don’t you?”

One Man’s Gym Story

Dear Diary.

For my sixty fifth birthday this year, my wife (the dear) purchased a week of personal training at the local health club for me. Although I am still in great shape since playing on my college tennis team 45 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try. I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer named Belinda, who identified herself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swimwear. My wife seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started! The club encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress

MONDAY

Started my day at 6:00 a.m. Tough to get out of bed, but found it was well worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Belinda waiting for me. She is something of a Greek goddess – with blond hair, dancing eyes and a dazzling white smile. Woo Hoo!! Belinda gave me a tour and showed me the machines. She took my pulse after five minutes on the treadmill. She was alarmed that my pulse was so fast, but I attribute it to standing next to her in her Lycra aerobic outfit. I enjoyed watching the skillful way in which she conducted her aerobics class after my workout today. Very inspiring! Belinda was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, all though my gut was already aching from holding it in the whole time she was around. This is going to be a FANTASTIC week-!!

TUESDAY

I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door. Belinda made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air — then she put weights on it! My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made the full mile. Belinda’s rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel GREAT-!! It’s a whole new life for me.

WEDNESDAY

The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying on the toothbrush on the counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a hernia in both pectorals. Driving was OK as long as I didn’t try to steer or stop. I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot. Belinda was impatient with me, insisting that my screams bothered other club members. Her voice is a little too perky for early in the morning and when she scolds, She gets this nasally whine that is VERY annoying. My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Belinda put me on the stair monster. Why the hell would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity rendered obsolete by elevators? Belinda told me it would help me get in shape and enjoy life. She said some other shit too.

THURSDAY

Belinda was waiting for me with her vampire-like teeth exposed as her thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn’t help being a half an hour late, it took me that long to tie my shoes. Belinda took me to work out with dumbbells. When she was not looking, I ran and hid in the men’s room. She sent Lars to find me. Then, as punishment, she put me on the rowing machine — which I sank.

FRIDAY

I hate that bitch Belinda more than any human being has ever hated any other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic little cheerleader. If there was a part of my body I could move without unbearable pain, I would beat her with it. Belinda wanted me to work on my triceps . I don’t have any triceps! And if you don’t want dents in the floor, don’t hand me the motherfucking barbells or anything that weighs more than a sandwich. The treadmill flung me off and I landed on a health and nutrition teacher. Why couldn’t it have been someone softer, like the drama coach or the choir director?

SATURDAY

Belinda left a message on my answering machine in her grating, shrilly voice wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing her made me want to smash the machine with my planner. However, I lacked the strength to even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of the Weather Channel.

SUNDAY

I’m having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next year my wife (the bitch) will choose a gift for me that is fun — like a root canal or a vasectomy.

Really fucking sorry my comment is made from actually being in the New Zealand bush and is therefore only anecdotal, much better tio get my information from a parliamentary commission.Silly old me.

My favourite DoC thing currently is getting control of large tracts of land and letting them revert to gorse. Their excuse is that native species will fight through eventually, they know this how,? arrogance runs with terrority Scott and you have bought into the myth..

Yes gorse is much maligned by farmers, because it invades productive pasture and can take over if poorly managed. On the other hand, for us tree huggers, it is a perfect primary cover for regenerating bush, better than manuka, because even goats won’t eat it. It’s is also a good fixer of nitrogen. I LOVE gorse!!

Just imagine Scott if we tossed out all those useless arses that made the decisions at DOC and replaced them with progressive minds that forgot all the nose rubbing and tree hugging shit and really got the hills pumping with trophy Deer, Chamois and Thar.

They could advertise abroad and the filthy rich would flock to our shores to zap them.

The budget for saving Kakapo, Kiwi and Bill’s deficit would go through the roof! 🙂

Having cut acres of the shit the only good thing about it is that it holds the hills together and good thick woody bits aare shit hot for firewood. Burns real hot.

Having had herds of goats eating gorse among other selected nutritious plants I’d say you don’t know what the fuck you are talking about.
They eat the soft tips and strip the bark, same as they do for woolly nightshade.

Give up your day job and go and do some hard yakker and clean your head of the rubbish you have been fed.
Johnboy probably has an acre or three out the coast where its cold wet and windy and fucking steep. Work that over and come back in a year or two when you know some real stuff.

Doesn’t affect me, I can afford to go but I wonder how people even on the average income can afford dental care. Many just don’t go.

Well, they’ve made a decision that a $200 filling or a $80 extraction is less important that keeping the cash. That’s fine for them – their decision. If they skipped basic SkyTV for a few months they could pay for it. If they stopped smoking for a month they could pay for it (and have healthier teeth). But if they’d rather not pay for a dentist – they don’t get dental care.

Maybe you could donate your money to help pay for those who can’t save a year for a tooth extraction. Or would you prefer to take some of my money (and every other employed person’s money) to pay for those who can’t save for a few weeks? Someone’s gotta pay. I think it’s fair at the moment that the person getting the dental work pays for it – is that such a terrible thing?!

Perhaps, numbers of dentists are being artificially limited to keep prices high.

The only scarcity of dentists is created by the bastards leaving to go to Australia to earn more money than they do here!

Dollar rallies as investors flee greenback

The Australian dollar surged today as a dearth of progress in US debt talks led investors to dump the greenback across the board and flock to currencies backed by stronger economies.

The Aussie leapt by more than a cent to a three-month peak of $US1.0933, before closing locally at $US1.0931. The domestic currency reached $US1.1011 on May 3, a record high since the currency was floated in December 1983.

How much “p” could you fit into an earring like that??

If you took it out this hollow ring it would leave a big gaping hole in his ear-lobe V2. A big, ugly, obvious one. This is why it was hard to see the point. I mean if you can’t even smuggle drugs in it, WTF was he thinking?

I suppose it could be useful if his arms and legs were cut off and he needed to save himself from danger by threading a rope through his ear-lobe in order to lower himself away, with his teeth, but otherwise, it just doesn’t seem like a good idea, at all.

Well known Kiwiblog antagonist, Bryla, y’know the peace loving “pacifist” who used to say here that he wouldn’t even lift a finger to save his own family if they were attacked (this is from the time some of us called him out at the time of the Waihopai 3 trial, when he was covering it and posting here), has been arrested for attacking an ADF helicopter!!!

What’s with these so called “peace activist’s” who proclaim violence is not the answer? Who then need to up-the-ante with their comrades in order to not look like a pussy and be da staunch man? Who then love the adulation from fellow peaceniks and hippies?

Hope the violent ploughshares bastard is convicted, so it hampers his travel abroad (and hopefully be prevented from entering NZ with a criminal conviction).

(As an aside, note how the ABC Media use a headline questioning the competancy of the ADF rather than use a headline to question the mentaility of a nut job).

The Federal Opposition says last week’s attack on a military helicopter at Rockhampton airport in central Queensland raises concerns about Australian Defence Force (ADF) security.

Bryan Law, 57, was granted bail by a Rockhampton magistrate on Friday, charged with attacking an Australian Tiger helicopter with a mattock.

Opposition defence materiel parliamentary secretary Senator Gary Humphries says the ADF has questions to answer about security, after he visited central Queensland for Exercise Talisman Sabre, which is being held at Shoalwater Bay.

“I understand that there was some talk about there being targeting of military equipment, particularly aircraft,” he said.

“I understand the incident here was also one that was captured on film.

“In the circumstances, we need to ask ourselves whether we are providing enough protection for aircraft and other equipment, which of course sets the Australian taxpayer back many billions of dollars.”

Senator Humphries says the attack prevented a young airman from returning to Brisbane to see his wife, who had been seriously injured in a car accident.

“Because the airport was locked down for helicopter flights for the whole of that day, he was unable to reach his wife until the following day or very late the same day,” he said.

“Now that young airman might have been placed in a tragic circumstance by virtue of the foolishness of individuals, who decided to use the airport as the scene for a political protest.”

A Maori Party MP has suggested that children who take their own lives should be condemned rather than have their life celebrated – a call slammed as “absolutely disgusting” by a mother whose child took his life.
