Pauleastbay.re the Germans on reunification…..Maggie Thatcher’s famous..words..”Oh no here they go again..we defeated them twice and here they go again..”
I have read predictions by Americans that the Germans under the EU will in time invade the Middle East…The Germans dominate the EU in many ways and economically because of the Euro…..countries like Greece etc cannot devalue because they are in the Euro zone..Time will tell ..all previous empires seem keen to be big again..Iran has designs on Iraq..etc..

It’s too late to do anything now, critical mass has been achieved by muslims in many european
countries. It didn’t take too long either. How many muslims were in, say, Sweeden 50 years ago ?
Do we have to follow suit ?
This is not racist as muslims are not actually a race.
We need to man up here and make some decisions while we have some control of immigration in
our own country.
Or is it too late already ?
All other major immigrant groups to NZ, Dalmations, Dutch, Poms, S Africans etc have enriched
the country.
Muslims will F. it. IMO

Assimilation is a colonialist concept. it’s what we though Maori would do, once, before they were resurgent.

I see no reason for Muslims to assimilate, quite the reverse, because, as bereal points out, all immigrants contribute in a positive manner to a country that allows them to fully participate in society – and this is not a given in Europe, where immigrants were largely bought in for cheap labour and abandoned when the economics changed.

If we such little faith in our society that we tremor at a few Muslims, what does that tell us about the strength of it?

And bereal, you should examine the newer, wider, definitions of racist – you fit, just as Paul Henry does.

Someone once said the same thing in New Zealand about a few Chinese. And a few Irish. And a few English. And a few Pacific Islanders. It may not be racisim, it’s prejudice, some people just don’t like anything or anyone that’s not the forking same.

bereal, you could consider the self demeaning thing yourself. And also consider following some of your own advice, and try and discuss the point.

Anti-immigrant feelings have been around a lot longer than the current anti-Muslim campaign. Anti-Chinese feelings have been here before, in the mid to late 1800s. Anti-Irish sentiments have been common. Etc.

Condemning a whole group of people (about a quarter of the world population is Muslim) is prejudice. Your point?

RB, if you actually read posts instead of jumping from under your bridge you’d have known that I wasn’t confusing race and religion, bereal (10:10pm, 12.15am) was shifting between religion and nationalities and I was responding to that. Funny that bereal is following your example and doesn’t want to discuss, just abuse. Is she your attention seeker apprentice? Both try to shout down any dissent to your religion.
