Can someone please explain:

1. Whether Chris Carter’s wife/husband (Kaiser) is paid, the $100,000 plus PA as a school principal when travelling or attending functions as Carter’s “partner” ? and

2. How it is that a school building can be used to stage a political meeting (Te Atatu labour electorate committee) on Saturday last involving ONLY the Labour party? and

3. Was the use for such purpose approved, in advance, by the school Board of Trustees? and

4. What is the policy/attitude of the School Board and teachers (under Kaiser’s leadership) to the education “National Standards”?

It seems that Kaiser has stepped outside the bounds of acceptable behaviour as a teacher and role model for children.

But perhaps such rules dont apply to “little gay boys” with a hyper-inflated sense of entitlement.

I should have known better after my visit to Vancouver a few years ago and travelling on the Sky Train with all those foreigners. 🙂

What’s this crap news TV1 are going on about, concerning calves being aborted by dairy farmers to keep milk production up?
So where’s the outrage at 18,000 human babies being aborted ?

So its OK to abort humans, but not OK to abort calves.

Aaaaaah, those hampionships. I well remember them from my youth. You ate as much as you could as fast as you could and got to hell out of the place. They called the venue a refrectory.

I don’t remember any particularly attractive women though.

Beauty is in the eye of the blah blah blah blah…

I saw some footage of the spaniard who has a face transplant and it blew my mind for few seconds wondering about how much of who we think we are is based on what we see.

Then I though about the woman who got attacked by a chimp and had her face ripped apart and laughed at the chimp attack part (I mean really, of all the things to happen, shark attacks, car accidents, acid throwing… no, she was attacked by chimp in a caravan!)

Then I returned to serious thought.

When a person has no face, they’re still the same person. It’s their brain that makes their facial muscles move, that makes the smile or the flirty-eyes face. If we lose the muscle, but not the electric signals that move the muscle, do we become less human or closer to what we really are?

You might agree, that is some freaky shit. Antedote is to quickly peruse your favorite fashion magazine.

I have to admit to being a pessimist when it comes to the global economic outlook, expecting a total implosion some time relatively soon. Anyone interested in the subject might enjoy this analysis by Bill Bonner. Basically we finish up the same as Japan, no total meltdown but 20 years of nothingness.

“What does an economist think…when he adjourns to the local bar…or is hauled away to the asylum? In the dead of night or the quiet of a confessional, does he laugh sourly at having fooled most of the people most of the time? Or does he curse his trade and feel like hanging himself?

The thing economists said was nearly impossible actually happened last week. Yields on 2-year US debt hit a record low just as the Treasury prepares for another record-setting deficit. The supply of Treasury debt and the demand for it hit new highs – together. Stranger things have happened. But the strangeness of this event has caused a furor loquendi amongst economists. Usually, there are only two major ways of misunderstanding current events. Now there are at least four of them.

Party economists take the party line; whenever the party flags, get out more gin. Now, they say the recovery is proceeding, thanks to adroit demand management. Unsurprisingly, since they are the authorities, they claim that record low Treasury yields mean investors have confidence in the authorities. Deficits don’t matter, they add.

Another group – the Paul Krugman, Martin Wolf, Joseph Stiglitz wing of the neo-Keynesian faction – fear the recovery may stall, as it did in America in the ’30s and Japan in the ’90s. They say deficits do matter; they wish there were more of them. Low bond yields are cheap gin to them.

In opposition is a large group of “inflationistas.” (Marc Faber, Jim Rogers…). They believe the authorities have already added too much monetary juice. And now they’re afraid the feds will run bigger deficits and add even more monetary inflation. Along with tightened supplies and demand pressure from the emerging markets, this will cause consumer prices to rise more than expected. The dollar and bonds will be crushed.

A small group of ‘hardcore deflationists,’ meanwhile, believes falling yields prove the economy is sinking into a deep hole of debt destruction and depression. (Robert Prechter, Gary Shilling) These Jeremiahs expect the main US stock index – the Dow – to lose 95% of its value and the bond market to continue to rise.

Yet another school of thought confines itself to this Daily Reckoning. It acknowledges that nobody knows anything, but it doesn’t mind taking a guess. Herewith is its view, beginning with a critique of its opponents. Fair-minded reader, you be the judge.

Mainstream opinion is contradicted by the facts. Fewer people are employed today in the US than when the stimulus program began. Sales are down. Growth is falling. Credit is contracting. Even hairstylists and cab drivers know something is wrong.

As for the ‘inflationistas’ view, it makes sense. The feds add money. Prices should rise. But in Europe and America, the rate of consumer price inflation is generally ebbing. That’s what low bond yields are really telling us; they signal deflation, not inflation. Maybe the inflationistas will be proven right, eventually. But for the moment, prices in the developed world are going down; they should remain weak until this phase of debt reduction is largely complete.

Meanwhile, ‘hard-core’ deflationists could be right too. A big credit expansion typically gives way to a big credit contraction. The past is not prologue, it is an account payable. Now it’s due. But there’s room for negotiation. If the ‘hard-core deflationists’ are right, credit will contract back to ’70s levels and asset prices will correct as much. But a lot has happened since the Carter era. There’s much more demand, for example, coming from all over the world. China is now a bigger energy consumer than the US, and a bigger auto buyer too. Demand for just about everything is growing. This new demand is bound to boost prices.

The supply side, too, puts a brake on deflation. The easy, cheap oil has already been pumped. Other resources – including food and water – require huge new capital investments before supplies will increase. Domestic inflation rates in China and India are already increasing. It’s just a matter of time before the exporters put inflation in a shipping container and send it west.

But we don’t need to rely purely on guesswork. We have an example right in front of us – Japan. The island has been de-leveraging its private sector since 1990 – complete with ultra-low bond yields. Consumer prices fell. Between real estate and stocks, investors lost an amount equal to three years’ total output.

Economists misunderstood it completely and gave consistently bad advice. And the authorities took the advice and squandered a whole generation’s savings. But the world did not come to an end. Japan de-leveraged while the rest of the world went on a buying spree. Now, the entire developed world de-leverages, while the emerging world continues to shop.

Nobody knows anything. But readers should expect a long, soft correction just the same.”

What is the gay link? There might be a spouse link. There might be a National Standards controversy link, if you can prove it, but it could easily be hidden behind a situation where the school hall is hired out for functions to anyone who’ll pay. That a politican (a school principal) takes advantage of situations isn’t much of an outrage.

Kaya: The elephant in the room is DEBT. The USA is 52 trillion in the hole, that is one big hole. The stimulus by the Government in the US is like trying to fill lake Taupo with a garden hose. Deflation is happening and there will be a scramble to grab US dollars to pay off debt, because most of the debt in the World is in US dollars. So for now the US dollar will be king, but when the correction in asset prices is over, inflation WILL happen and the US bond market and the US dollar will be toast. Save your pennies until inflation hits and make yourself a nice pension.

I think that there are differences with Japan. Basically the Japanese real economy carried on working exporting stuff that people need carrying the dead weight of the zombie banks on their backs. If by “we” you mean us or the US (not much difference really) the same doesn’t apply, they are no longer exporters. There’s a video on this site http://michael-hudson.com/ by Michael Hudson and he basically explained the closing of the gold window was cause by French banks accumulating a lot of US $ as a result of the Vietnam war – can’t find the video but it’s there somewhere – French banks were operating in Indochina. Since then I guess US$ have been quietly accumulating as reserves everywhere which isn’t a problem because it’s always good to have them to settle trade. At some point the US$ fails the “store of value” test. That could be some time yet.

I’m very happy that someone can be tracked if they are a threat, private or not in NZ.

Activists are a threat, they have shown throughout modern history that they are happy to cross the line in furtherence of their cause.

I am against making it illegal for Individuals and organisations (including companies) to surveille people they consider a threat..

Activists commit burglary, even malicious damage and sabotage and then argue in court it was for the greater good.

The police and security services are there for the protection of the State and public order not for individuals and companies.

Plus they are increasingly politised here in NZ so can one necessarily trust them anyway.

What I meant was they are there for the state (all of us )
Only where criminality was proven or good % proven intent are they able to act.
So individuals and companies should be able to protect themselves and that may mean gathering intelligence or surveillence of risk persons or events.

In fact, in the video that Flynn has posted online, a man traveling with the group hands in all the passports and is the only one to interact with airline staff while two veiled women simply walk through.

“I complained at the desk — and again as I boarded the plane — asking if the pilot was happy that two women boarded without being identified,” Flynn told QMI Agency. “Both members of staff whom I spoke to were flustered and clearly embarrassed.”

Flynn’s communication with Air Canada and his video posting have resulted in a threatened lawsuit from the airline. As for answers from the company about security procedures, their response reveals holes in Canada’s air security.

So ALL non-Muslims have to suffer owing to increased airline security due to the increase in Islamic terrorism since 911 – BUT Muslim women DO NOT?! Unbelievable barely begins to describe this pathetically stupid hypocritical policy.
Especially when a known MALE Islamic terrorist, Mustaf Jama, has already beaten security by passing himself off as a Muslim woman using this method.

Yeah, yeah – you just like your women with a six-pack. 😉
But I agree, some female track and field (sprinters, pentathalon and the like – NOT shot-putters!!!) athletes are extremely attractive.

Chuck Bird, the wording of the moot is interesting “Is God the Source of Morality? Is it rational to ground right and wrong in commands issued by God?”.

I suspect it’s been worded that way because the debate organisers are hoping for controversy.

What might be more relevant would be to pose the question “What is the source of a shared morality? What is the rational basis to ground a shared right and wrong on”. That would be a much more interesting and illuminating question to see a philosopher and a theologian debate.

It amazes me, Mike, that the MSM will supress information regarding the kidnapping of reporters by Islamic terrorist groups, and yet will bend over backward to air Islamic propaganda videos where american soldiers mimic to camera anti-American ‘slogans’ under obvious duress from their Islamic captors.

Why do the MSM, progressives, Marxists, et al bend over backwards to appease Islam, when they will be among the first to lose their heads if/when Islam becomes a dominant force in the West?

Why does everyone glamorise these animal people by calling them “animal rights activists” In the natural world animals have no rights, and these people are not activists, they are vandals and economic terrorists. It is about time we took a bit more control of the language and called these people what they are.

The honest people lost the smacking debate because we allowed Bradford et al to frame the debate in their choice of language, “hitting”, “whacking”, “bashing”, “punching”, “belting” became the language of the debate. Worst of all those same whackos are not now being held to their language in terms of any effect of the legislation on reducing child abuse.

Be really careful about the labels we give these “noble warriors for all that is good and right” – “arseholes” would be more accurate and would be eco-friendly by using less ink.

‘Unwell’ MP Chris Carter asks for leave
Suspended Labour MP Chris Carter has asked for two months leave from Parliament from Speaker Lockwood Smith because he is unwell.
Labour president Andrew Little said today Mr Carter was seeking appropriate treatment, but his leave application meant any decision on his membership of the Labour Party was unlikely to be made this week.
“The Labour Party has been advised that Chris Carter is unwell, that he is getting appropriate help, and that he will be on leave from Parliament for approximately two months,” Mr Little said.
”The Party is pleased that he is getting the help he needs. Our rules state that Chris Carter needs the opportunity to be heard before any disciplinary action is taken. He will not be able to do that on Saturday because he is unwell.”
He said the matter of his future was serious and would be dealt with but it must be carried out in accordance with Labour’s rules.
All issues surrounding Mr Carter’s conduct would still be discussed by the party’s ruling council this weekend.

Re sick leave for public servants – Auckland council managers are apparently complaining (NatRad) about new Supercity jobs on offer having less favourable conditions. Eg “only” 4 weeks annual leave instead of 6, and “only” 5 days sick leave a year instead of 20 or unlimited.

jinpy, although in this case these men were acquitted (seemingly because of police bungles) there was a recording of them discussing mincing her up and putting her in kebabs. I’m not in a position to prove them guilty, and my overall concern is not with this single case (although it does make me nauseous). Frankly my concern is that this culture is steadfastly refusing to come out of the middle ages, while extending their influence around the world.

I’m horrified by the links provided by RightNow, having worked in Lancashire whilst living Yorkshire. However, the most disgusting truth that I know realise is that these stories were reported in the local press, particularly the free rag, and many similar in my recollection.

I’m not a bigot like some as I do have muslim friends, including one palestinian (even if the fucker has got a fake passport as I keep reminding him), but I believe that europe has a serious problem on its hands with an islamic revolution of sorts that has come about by the lack of action of hand wringing socialist apologists.

I have a real concern that it is too late for europe, they may be fucked, proper fucked. Yes, before “Zee Germans” get there.

I sincerely hope that this country does not follow the same path, it may have started but it is not too late to prevent the same clusterfuck of political correctness.

I do not believe in intolerance but there is surely a way of protecting our culture (whatever you believe it to be) and freedom by respecting our rights to practice whatever religion we want and enforcing the law with no regard to race, religion or ethnicity or in particular political fucking correctness and fear of offending someone who chooses their own beliefs.

One law for all and dont force your fucking fairytale shit or any of its “instructions” on anyone, unless you are prepared to eat bacon with your left hand whilst sucking on satans cock.

For the record I have not yet defined by religious beliefs as I’m still thinking about it, I like to appreciate what is around me in nature but question a hell of a lot of the human madness and unfortunately find the majority of human noise and behaviour I see these days pretty bloody depressing.

I believe in something and have a strong respect for true christian values. Which I believe to be the same as true muslim, jewish, hindu, sikh or buddhist values when not distorted and bastardised by some false prophet. Probably humanist values, as I see them.

I’d like to see more adherence to these values by you fucking rabble, the general public, particularly the dickheads we have elected to “lead” us and myself.

Perhaps it has always been this way but the media overload and availability of negativity is just more prevalent thanks to the wonders of technology.

Apologies for the verbosity this fine evening, the mrs is in hospital and the kids are asleep.
