Dom Post Quiz wrong

Ha – finally caught them out.

I got 12/15 in this week’s quiz in 1:01. But they have one question wrong. The question was “How much do MPs on indefinite leave, lose from their salary every week?” and the options were $50, $500, $110 and $75.

However none of these are correct. The Civil List Act 1979 s20(1)(a) says:

If during any session a member is absent for any number of sitting days exceeding 14, there shall be deducted from the payment to be made to the member the sum of $10 for every sitting day (exclusive of those 14 sitting days) during which the member was absent

The correct answer is $30 per sitting week. An easier solution is to change the question so it asks about every sitting day rather than every week.
