Yes I have to agree DR they try to make out they are people of huge importance but then act like total fuckwits for all to see on parliament TV.

I sometimes wonder if they actually realise how stupid they look especially when poor old Lockwood does his best to preside with all his artificial dignity over the inmates of the asylum.

They keep telling us that the Westminster system is the best form of government but sometimes I wonder. Glad to see you are enjoying the antics though.

Regardless of her lousy policy perspective, she’s always struck me as a person with integrity and intelligence who knew how to work the system.

I have and never will vote for her or her party, but she has personal integrity, unlike many of her contemporaries.

A line from John Doone’s famous poem comes to mind:

“If one clod of earth is washed away, Europe is diminished thereby”

Parliament is diminished today, simply because she stood above most, firstly in terms of being able to trust a powerful person never knowingly to do the wrong thing in the name of feathering their own nest at our expense and secondly in terms of saying what you truly believe as opposed to saying what you think the people might like to hear.

For that, I thank you Jeanette.

The only downside to the departure of Jenetix is that she gets to be replaced by a no-name, unelected, unemployable Ronald McDonald impersonator of no known mental ability.

If it forced a by-election it would have been all positive and would have given the electorate a chance to judgethe candidate and the party in an open forum instead of the practice of sliding around in the subsoil being nice to everyone while studiously avoiding enunciating a meaningful policy of any kind that would be of benefit to NZ and its future.

I love how the die-hard Conservatives are quick to attack her, at least she had the political guts to fight tooth and bone for what she believed in: sustainability for NZ.

We could even say the same about Helen Clark: Progressive Socialism.

But where does John Key stand? What is he fighting for? what political idealism does he represent as a member of parliament?

Well done to Jeanette Fitzsimons for actually pushing her beliefs and idealism’s, I may not agree with them but it certainly shows a certain amount of class, determination and consistency. A number of today’s politicians should be working in the puppet industry.
