Semenya is a hermaphrodite

Sometimes your gut instinct is right. Caster Semenya looked to have a somewhat masculine body, and the Daily Telegraph reports that it appears she is a hermaphrodite with no womb or ovaries, and internal testes.

How absolutely awful for her to have her condition made public, but it was inevitable as she started to win medals. Someone should have checked this out at a much earlier stage, to avoid it becoming an issue now. She has been illserved by the South African Athletics body.

I think the IAAF has no choice but to stop her competing in future female events, as it is just unfair to the other competitors who don’t have her physiology.
