Colleagues warned Carter

I’ve not blogged on Chris Carter’s expenses until now, because I wanted to avoid the kneejerk assumption that his high level of overseas travel was unwarranted. Most Ministerial travel is justified and desirable in my opinion.

But the NZ Herald reports that Chris’ own colleagues had warned him about his overseas travel:

Labour MP Chris Carter has been cautioned by colleagues over recent years to cut down on his overseas travel, the Weekend Herald understands from several sources.

If this is correct, it is a very foolish Minister who does not heed such advice.

It is interesting that the Herald appears to have got this info from multiple Labour MPs.
