NZ on Screen
I’ve spent hours this week looking at some classic NZ television at NZ on Screen. NZ on Screen is funded by NZ on Air to allow access to historical NZ television and film etc. I think digitising the archives is a wonderful thing to do.
Highlights are the Simon Walker interview with Rob Muldoon. I’d forgotten how young Walker was then.
Also Brian Edwards negotiating an end to a Post Office strike on screen.
They’ve got 434 titles on there so far, and have them sorted by genre which makes it easy to find your favourite classic. They have an episode of It’s In the Bag, some Billy T, McPhail and Gadsby, a 1953 short film on Hillary returning to NZ. and the first ever episode of Gloss!
Lots of goodies to enjoy.
