House Seating Plan
The efficient bunnies in the Clerk’s Office have already got the House Seating Plan online. Some parties only finalised their allocations yesterday so that is well done.
On the Government side of the House, you have the Maori Party next to National, and then United Future and ACT. All five cross-bench front row seats go to the confidence and supply partners. Having their 11 MPs on the Government benches means seven poor National MPs have to sit on the Opposition benches at the back.
National MP Craig Foss is next to Sir Roger Douglas, so he’ll have some fascinating conversations. Rodney is next to (with a small aisle) Jeanette Fitzsimons so I guess it will be a climate change free zone!
Clark and Cullen are seated on the second row next to the Opposition Whips. Some of the new Labour MPs have made the prized main black of 27 – Carol Beaumont and Jacinda Ardern.
Finally can I say it is so nice to see a seating plan for the House, that has no NZ First on it 🙂
