iiq374, the real problem with democracy is that the people that actually decide the outcome are ill equipped to make such an important decision.

Petal, I would hazard a guess that a large proportion of them don’t deserve to vote anyway, polls are looking good just now, hopefully the illiterates, illegals and bludgers are too drunk/doped up/P’d out to recognise whats happening so I reckon let sleeping dogs lie! LOL

RG, an acquaintance of mine said he’d be horrified if 95% of people voted, because so many people are idiots! Heh. Glad we don’t have compulsory voting.

One half of the electorate are below the median intelligence.
I think that possibly as many as 60% are beneath the average intelligence.
That is a statistical anomaly.

THE EPMU CAN DRIVE YOU PAST KFC TO DEMOCRACY, BUT YOU CAN’T FORE THEM TO PARTAKE OF IT INTELLIGENTLY.

I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday and she stated that she would be voting for Labour.
I asked her why? (along with, are you nuts, what the hell for, and…are you nuts?)
She replied. “Because i like Helen more”
So i asked “What makes you like her more… Is it her policies?”
She said “I dont know anyones policy, im out of the loop, i just “trust” Helen more”
I said “what has John done to lose your trust? are you aware of Helens record on this truth issue?”
She said “I dont know, Im out of the loop, I just like Helen more”

The typical Labour supporter.

I did enrol, but got a letter back telling me that I can’t because I have just moved to my new location. I expected them to keep my enrolment form until I have lived there for the month and then activate it, but I continued reading and it said they’ll send me *another* form for me to fill out instead. *sigh*

Come Tuesday it will be 249999. I just have to get my Korean address translated into English. I’ve been back within the three year limit. I’ll encourage friends at home and abroad to enrol too.
